This Oil X Change - turned - Super Lube is awful. Let's walk through my experience: My wife and I brought both of our cars here at the same time. Only two of the three bays were in service (unsure if this is because the lift was inoperable, or because only 2 guys were staffed), and with a customer ahead of us, it meant we had to wait for each car to be done separately. As they go through the oil change, the technicians shout every move they make. I'm not just talking about safety with the lift (which I completely understand), but they say things like "filling tire pressure bay 1! Bay 1 is 35 psi! Inspecting transmission fluid bay 1!" It's not only annoying, but it makes you wonder...why are they doing it? It's not the same as a place where a man on the floor needs to communicate with a man in a pit! Do they do this so you think they're doing everything right on your car? Which begs the question, of course: do I have a reason not to trust them? They said that both of our cars were in DIRE need of transmission service, which, of course, they were "equipped" to do right then and there (although they didn't even have my air filter in stock...curious...). Let me tell you some advice to anyone who doesn't know much about car repair: DO NOT let an oil change place (especially this one) perform something that important on your car. Go to the dealer! So we did each take our cars to their respective dealers after the technicians tried to guilt-trip us into having it done there (that's great customer service for you). Know what they said? That our cars were in fine shape! Yes, due for transmission fluid changes, but they were not in "danger of becoming damaged" as the Super Lube guys said. they could have run for months longer. And how about that name? Super Lube? Really? You're going to name your business THAT? How professional. Not too sure why we stopped in here to begin with, other than it was close to home. read more

Pretty lame when you get chastised by these guys because your oil was changed 5000 miles ago. The oil indicator put the oil life at 50%, the manufacturer recommends oil changes at 10,000 miles, but because they need to sell oil changes, they'll try to sell you an additive or up-sell the oil change because "you're 2000 miles overdue". The hell with what the manufacturer and the engineers who designed the car recommend, we're your local oil change place and if we tell you that your oil needs to be replaced every 3000 miles, dammit, that's what it should be! Then, they start working on your car before they even ask what you want. I dont want the cabin filter replaced, and I don't want you going through my glove box. Thats why I locked it. That doesn't mean that you have permission to unlock it without asking. read more

It was time for all the fluids to be changed for my 90k checkup. Hyundai dealership wanted $900. Super Lube did it for half the price and I didn't have to wait all day at the dealer. Can anyone be honest anymore? Instead of Super-Lube they should be called Super-Shady. First off their oil changes cost more than the dealer so why anyone would go here I don't know. Second I went in with my company fleet card, so I guess they figured they could stick it to my company and not get caught. I went to pay and they tried to charge to replace windshield wipers that were new and an air filter that wasn't really that dirty. The air filter I would have probably done had they asked, but instead they just did it. When I called them out on it and told them to put the old stuff back the actually told me to "Calm down". Are you even kidding me! You try to rip me off and then tell me to calm down. Not "Sorry for the mis-understanding", but "Calm down". Yeah, won't be going back here again. read more

I like these guys. They do a good job and I feel they aren't scammers. The one thing I don't like is they have a bad habit of turning my automatic headlights off. I drove a couple miles with them off one time because I was driving under street lights and couldn't see they were off. I know now to check though because they do that almost every time. read more

Yesterday was my first time going to this place or to a Super Lube location at all. I usually dread car maintenance due to pushy, slimy salesmen and I find it agonizing finding out all the things they diagnose to my car that I cannot afford to get done that takes all day long. The lobby and bays are open so you can see and hear almost everything. That means alot to me that they are willing to be that transparent and that must require themselves to be held to a certain standard. They check everything and announce as they are doing it. The staff is very organized, professional, and friendly down to earth staff. Not uncomfortably, pushy on sales But will be real with you on what needs to be done on your car. My engine filter was way over due to be replaced but my car doesn't come through that often so they do not keep alot of inventory on hand and had just used the last one not long ago. They ordered the part and received the same hour! They have an awesome deal right now for full synthetic oil changes (and other variants of oil changes). Full synthetic is ordinarily soooo expensive to get done which is a requirement for my car but I used to do it even before this car, so when they told me I can buy 3 for 4 which actually seemed under 3 for 4, I was thrilled. Obviously, I will be coming back using that deal but I would have never been sold on that if they did not have the excellent customer service and knowledge to back it up. I completely walked out of there smiling after a great experience that was also quick. I hope the staff who helped me will be there next time! read more

I've been going to Super Lube on 75th in Woodridge before they were Super Lube. It used to be Oil Xpress. Whoever the management was, they were always friendly and decent. Yesterday, 12/19/2017 I went in for an oil change and let one of their technicians (scam) sell me an in-cabin air filter claiming it was filthy and looked like it had never been changed. When I asked to see the old one, it didn't look dirty to me. The next day, because it still bothered me, I checked maintenance on my SUV and found that the in-cabin air filter had been changed in July 2017- 5 months ago by my dealer. Well, I stopped by today and talked to the manager and showed him my receipts, he started giving me the run around and very nasty asked me "what do you want me to do"? I grabbed my receipts and walked out and told him I would never be back because I don't like being scammed! Beware ladies! read more

Brought my mother-in-law's dodge journey in for an oil change and they physically checked every thing top to bottom and also checked the factory recommended services coming up. Honest as honest can be. These guys are like George Washington, but no casual racism and they provide car service. Every piece of work I had done has been excellent. They've constantly kept me up to date with my service and my car's status. They never push for service and they never try to screw you. Not without buying you a drink first of course. read more

Pleasant experience, asked a few questions about another car I have and received some advice and information to do some further looking into. Guys seemed down to earth, and the upselling was at a minimum, and they didn't push anything like previous experiences at some of the larger chains. I like that the car is lifted, instead of over a pit. It gave me the opportunity to get a better look at the underside of my car and do a quick visual inspection. I also liked that it provided me the opportunity to see what was being checked and how it was being checked, which is awesome for someone curious like myself. I usually don't do 5 stars, because there's always room for improvement somewhere, but I can't really think of much, and I don't feel the 1 star reviews are helpful. read more

These guys did a really good job on my car yesterday. Oil change was pretty standard, quick and not too expensive. They also managed to fix two other major problems with my car, free of charge. My passenger door has been stuck shut for the last 3 months. The dealership told me i would have to take it to a body shop, take apart the car, thousands of dollars blah blah blah... The guy working at Super Lube fixed it in five minutes.. no problem, free of charge. They have a customer for life after that one. read more

I've been going to this place for about 2 years now and have never had a bad experience. Always friendly, honest, and fair. Not too pushy and they always do a great job. I've been to a lot of big chain places that claim to top[ off fluids, and never do. This team always does and they always do it in a timely manner. I highly recommend this place. read more
