I came to get windshield wipers. I asked for assistance since I'm not too good with car stuff. They directed me to the most expensive wipers. Once the worker walked away, another customer recommended different wipers to me, which I ended up getting. Once I checked out, I asked if they could put the wipers on for me. The worker tried to put them on, but didn't seem to know what he was doing, so he had to ask another worker to come and help him. Once they got to the back wiper, they told me I had bought the incorrect type of wiper, so I needed to return them. So we go inside and the worker didn't know how to do a return either. I understand he may be new, but I would imagine training would include how to process a return. They ended up not having the rear wiper I needed and recommended I go to the Bolingbrook location or they could have it delivered to that store. At that point, I had been there for at least 20 minutes, so I decided to just go home. I just wish I had better assistance. read more

This place is great. I came to get my car battery replaced. I recommend getting a Duralast gold battery. You get a 3 year warranty. It's the same for platinum if you go one tier up. You don't want to go too cheap on your car if you use it everyday. I also bought the Duralast gold brake pads and rotors from here. Those will last you longer than the cheap ones. The service here is good. Everyone was friendly. They were able to remove and replace my car battery. I saw they can also test your battery and check your engine light. read more

Only negative I have is the prices seems a little high and a lot of the things the stock are cheap junk accessories as opposed to focusing exclusively on parts and what not. 5 Stars for an auto parts store? You bet! Every time I go there I become more impressed. Yesterday it was wiper blades. I walk in and am immediately asked if I need help. 'Sure, wiper blades', I answer. The guy (sorry, I forgot his name) tells me how the road salt and grit will wear out wipers fast and I would be better off buying the less expensive ones - about half the price. Nice. Then he asks if I would like them installed while I check out. Super nice! These guys are the best. And, yeah, its as good as it gets. read more

Went inside to scan the results and felt like I was a huge inconvenience and wasting his time.. mind you they just got lunch delivered.. he told me the parts I'd needed and I felt wrong to ask questions since I have no idea what parts and the attitude came out. I needed to replace a headlight. I walked in and was immediately asked how they could help. I was in and out in less than 5 minutes.

I came here a few months back to get a tail light for my car. I have a typical Toyota Yaris. Nothing special about it. I bought the bulbs and the service guy tried installing it for me. But it turns out that what they had in stock was not the right one. The service guy said that it was probably a "special" bulb that I would have to buy from the dealer. The guys at the store all seemed peeved to be there. No one wanted to deal with customers which as it turns out is their job. Everyone seemed overworked and underpaid. I went to Advance Auto Parts where everyone was happy and they had the correct part for my car! No hassle, no sending me to the dealer. read more

I'm not sure what to write here because to be honest, I have no idea what happened. I like to do my own car repair and just came in here for the first time ever. I walked into the store and it was completely empty, no one. No customers, no employees. I stood at the counter waiting for a good 5-10 minutes until finally an employee came out off the back, looked at me and said "I'll be with you in a moment sir." I proceeded to wait another 5 minutes or so and finally gave up. No one helped me. I guess they are selling so many parts they didn't need my business? I'm going to go ahead and give them 2 stars right now because I believe in second chances and I'm hoping this was just a fluke of some sort and they had something pressing to deal with. Still, there is no excuse for allowing a customer to stand there waiting for 15 minutes and allowing them to leave empty handed without helping them. I'll try them again in a few days and see if anything changes. read more

Around 7.30pm on a Sunday evening, I noticed that one of my car's tire valve caps was missing after my tire pressure warning light went on. I needed my car to get to work early the next morning, and I had a lot of driving planned for later in the day on Monday, so I did not want to risk continuing to drive with only three caps. Since it was already late in the day on a Sunday, I was in a pinch. I was glad to see that this location was open until 8pm on Sundays. I got to the store around 7:45pm. The clerk (I didn't catch his name) helped me find tire valve caps, and he even took the time to come out to my car to make sure the cap matched those on my other tires. After spending maybe an hour trying to remove the passenger side Actuator motor, I came into the store on the search for new tools to help me remove them. Luckily I didn't find them, but James and Michael suggested other ways to improvise! I grabbed a different tool they suggested and it worked wonders. I still had a little trouble removing the part when James came out and asked if I needed help. James really outdid himself with helping me remove this part that had gotten me really frustrated. After it was all done, I began to put it back together and it still wasn't working. James Was really determined to find the solution of why my passenger side AC was not working. After over 2 hours, he had found the solution!!! We came back out to the car, got it fixed and the AC was up and running once again. I wanted to ensure I gave a shout out to James and Michael for all their hard work and determination in helping me solve my vehicle problem. Thank you!!! He hit the nail on the head, which saved me $, avoiding the need to bring it into a repair facility or replacing the wrong component. I stopped by after work to see why the battery flashes sporadically on my dash. Decided to stop by Auto Zone Downers Grove, since that's where I'd purchased my battery a few months ago. I walked into the store, only waited a moment before Tony (Not sure if I got the name right. African American guy) asked if I needed help. I explained my situation, he didn't hesitate checking my issue. Tony, diagnosed the battery, alternator and starter and found all passed. That was good to know. He displayed excellent customer service, especially since he remembered me. Wow, that means alot. Because he found it odd that my battery light came on, he suggested a second opinion from his manager, Antonio ( if memory serves me correctly). Antonio, politely assisted me after working with another customer. By the way, the customer raved about the service also. Antonio diagnosed the car also, and it passed. He stated, humidity may be playing a role with the belt, to give it a couple days. If it persist, come back. Well, the light hadn't come back on since I left their store. Hmmmmmm......!
