Bruce Lee came here since I was in the area and I kind of wanted to grab some additives for my car to help it run better it wasn't anything exclusive it was more of a common additive. But they had it at a reasonable price. Overall this is a typical automotive store so it features a general variety of everything for you like to expect at a car store. The customer service at this location is atrocious. The initial associate that helped us was unfriendly and couldn't locate my pro account. I was quoted a price without my discount for my (personal) car battery. We decided to call a different (local) O'Reilly's and not only was that associate much friendly but he was also able to locate my account and quote me the appropriate (discounted) price. Since my battery had just died (in the parking lot) I went back into this location to purchase the battery (with my pro discount). I asked the associate to install the new battery (since my car battery unexpectedly died I didn't have the necessary tools for installation), he stated he couldn't do it because he was had been waiting to go to lunch. He said I could ask the other associate, Jeff, to see if he wanted to do it. So I waited for Jeff (an even more unpleasant associate) to get off the phone and then I again asked if I could get my new battery installed. He just said outright said no. No explanation, no reasoning. When I told him I've never had issues getting my (personal) new car battery installed by O'Reilly's associates before he then stated "we don't install new car batteries for pro accounts...since you already get a discount". While this was occurring the first associate was still at the computer answering phone calls and checking out other customers. At this point, I'm frustrated and irritated with the entire situation so I decided to return the new battery. There was absolutely no way I was going to give my business to this location. I jumped my car (thank god for portable car jumpers) and drove to the O'Reilly's on Boughton. Although the Boughton couldn't install the new car battery the associate provided an explanation as to why that location (franchise) they couldn't AND a solution. The stark contrast between these two experiences made it clear that I will not be recommending the O'Reilly's on 75th nor will I be providing any future business to this location. read more

This review is about first impressions and is specific to my 1st visit. I'm sure that experiences differ from person to person but having the right sales person helping you out makes all the difference. I can't say that I know much about cars or tell you about whether their prices are the best in the area because I'm not an expert on auto parts. But I can tell you that I went in there today and I was in and out within 10 minutes, a very happy customer. My situation was simple and sweet: one of my headlight went out (passenger-side) and I was about to just go and by a bulb for my archaic 1994 Corolla when the sales rep, JC helped me find the right bulb and suggest that I also get grease to keep the connection last longer and better. I mentioned to him that I'm about to take it to a mechanic to get it installed since I know absolutely nothing about cars. He told me to bring my car around (store wasn't busy so I guess I was lucky) and he would help me/show me how to install it! After having spent 5 minutes on my car, I learned how easy it was to just change a lightbulb and I probably saved money from labor cost that a mechanic would charge me. Not many people would offer this kind of service but having even 1 good employee can turn a store around. My impression of O'Reilly was a good one and I will come back next time to see what else they offer. While money is important and I like to watch my pocket too but when it comes to cars which I know nothing about, I rather go to a place I can trust. Have shopped at this location numerous times prior with no problems until yesterday. Had done an oil change on my v-rod and dispensed of it properly in an oil pan. Upon walking in and requesting to recycle the motor oil, the counter guy informed his manager. Five minutes later I was told the oil is not in approved container thus refusing to recycle the oil. Worst though, while driving to another recycle location the oil leaked and made a mess in my car trunk. Despite earth911.org listing this business as a recycle center for motor oil, the store manager thinks otherwise. Service definitely sucks at this location. read more

Next time I need auto parts I am going to get in the zone at the other place that has the other annoying radio jingle. Came here to get new rain-x wiper blades ended up having to get the even MORE expensive ones. :( I purchased some rather expensive wiper blades and had a discussion with the clerk about how they come with 4 different attachments so they can be used on many makes and models...I thought oh what a great idea. Boy was I wrong...its a fricken dumb idea. It was a rainy day so I immediately left and tried to put them on my car...one went on succefully the other....was missing the attachment that was compatible with my car and 70% of the other cars on the road. Went back inside and told them it was missing a piece...looks like someone else returned these and the employee didnt check the box to make sure everything was returned with it...this PISSES me off to no end when careless employees do this. Anyways I ended up trying to get another blade of the same size and price and they ended up being out of what I wanted ....FECK... had to buy the next model up and ended up having to spend an extra 20 for good blades...oh well at least i know I have the best wiper blades on the planet for my car.....WHOOPIE -60 bucks in my wallet. read more

These guys are sly and will try to rip you off. My wife went in to buy some standard coolant and they convinced her that she needed super heavy-duty coolant from behind the desk for our 2002 Volvo V70. Then when I went back to exchange it I told them I needed standard full-strength coolant and they grabbed the 50/50 mix which is almost the same price. I realized this upon leaving the store and had to come back in a 3rd time to actually get regular full-strength coolant. Even when I did that they said "well you know... you actually have to add water to this one". DUH. The fact that me and my wife dealt with different people every time we went in with the same attitude tells me that this is standard practice for the business and not just one bad apple. Not only that, but while I was there I saw them trying to convince another woman she needed special wiper blades, and discouraged another man from seeking parts elsewhere saying "If we don't have it, I really doubt any place around does". read more

DRIVE AWAY! Came in looking to get my battery replaced. Called ahead, employee said don't get the cheapest battery it won't start the car because I have the same car. Ok... (why carry a battery that won't work?) I show up and employee is looking for the up-sale battery. Employee forgets the battery code. Yells out to coworker is it 81etc?! Coworker without looking at computer screen yells back ya! Then looks at computer screen No!, it's 88etc. Employee comes back with a battery. Brings up price and says total is about $30 more than quoted. I ask why? His response?, I didn't find the cheaper battery so without consulting with the customer just figured it was ok to charge the even more expensive battery. AMATEUR HOUR! I came in on a cold 2 degree January day. The window cleaning fluid in my car had frozen and I asked if there was anything I could do. They recommended a product and when I mentioned that I never put the fluids in my car, one of the guys, Alex offered to go and put it in my car for me. When he opened my hood we found that the lid was off the tank we went back in and found one and came out and offered to put that on for me. It didn't fit and that was the only one they had, so they didn't even charge me. I am so thrilled with the excellent customer service I received! It was freezing and his only concern was to help me.
