We go there at least once a week. Love their rolled chicken tacos! They are open 24 hours a day. The drive is quick.

I got a steak breakfast burrito and I was not disappointed. It was huge and the main component was meat. It was flavorful and the tortilla was warmed and grilled as well. A nice touch. I know some people prefer breakfast burritos to be mostly egg and potato and this definitely was not that. It was mostly steak mixed with scrambled eggs, but not a ton. It did not have pico de gallo as well. liked it that way so I can't complain. read more

As good as any fast food Mexican Restaurant you'd probably find in Portland. Good prices and good quality with above average portions. I'd rate it a little better than, but similar to, "Muchos Gracias" here in Portland. Hand bottled home made taco sauce ranged from too hot to even hotter than that, to ridiculously hot. Nothing mild or average heat in their variety. Maybe they have prepacked taco sauce, but we really did ok without it. Really sweet and polite counter person at lunchtime. I think it's her Dad's place? Or she's that nice on her own. No more WiFi. She said too many non-customers abused the service. Will be back. read more

Great place to go. Its open all hours and all hours it serves great burritos. If you want to go away from the locals, the short drive from Nye beach is well worth it. The under 3 dollar tacos are well varied and delishioso. Burritos are Chipotle grade and filling. I wouldnt reccomend the Oregon Burrito because its like eating a philly cheese steak burrito. Husband and I are here on vacation while we wait to move into a house in Eugene. This place is SO convenient and delicious. Prices are wayyyyyyy reasonable as well for being a tourist location. AND it's 24 hours. What can be better? The breakfast burritos are bomb, the chimichangas are bomb, the rolled tacos are bomb. THE RICE IS BOMB. The meats are tender and flavorful and hearty. Food was okay, except for my beef taco that had hard, caramelized, burnt beef in it like it was the last beef scraped out of the pan. I planned to improve the blandness with some salsa..but all of the salsa bottles were covered with old salsa on the outside..wasn't going to touch them. We went to find a table. Want authentic Mexican food in Newport, Oregon? Oscars Mexican Food is true to and consistent with real Mexican food that I have had from New Mexico to Eastern Washington. A young man had to come from the back to interpret and explain contents of the menu items. If you listened carefully, you could understand him. The lobby service was left unattended; tables were not wiped down after use. The order taker was friendly and the employees waved good bye as we exited the restaurant. Good Mexican food and a honest price

Where do i start... This place is for one very dirty, half the table do not have a seat cushion. The Peppers and carrots where very old tasting and very soggy. we order a burrito and CHICKEN tacos, and was instead given TURKEY tacos and the little girl at the front said how do you know the differences in taste... really i am american and do eat turkey on thanksgiving big difference in taset between chicken she then said well u busted me and rolled her eyes and laughed and walked away the beacon on the burrito was burnt and unediable. the salsa was filled with water and a tiny bit of sauce for reed tinting. i will never ever return to this s@#$ hole ever agian. i ahve three pics for proof but its not letting me upload them! read more

We came here around 9pm on a Friday night because everything else in this town closes so early! It was really empty and looked kinda dirty, so that turned us off right away. The portions were HUGE. I ordered a chicken chimichanga and really enjoyed it. My fiance ordered two beef burritos and could only finish one. His dish also came with rice and beans. I thought the food was pretty good, but my fiance got an upset stomach afterwards. I would say this place is okay. If it wasn't so dirty looking, I would have probably given it 4 stars. This place is decent for Mexican food in the middle of the Oregon coast. We came here for breakfast so I can't really speak for the lunch or dinner, but the huevos rancheros were good. The prices were very reasonable for the amount of food, that's for sure. read more

We ordered two burritos (ground beef and Oregon), carne asada fries, a chicken quesadilla, tortilla chips and 2 sodas to go. The burritos were very good and large. My daughter really liked her quesadilla. The carne asada fries were insanely good! Only complaints: they forgot our chips, and the sodas out of the machine were flat. Ordered a burrito and it just came with meat, don't do what I did.. asked for beans cheese and rice inside of it and lone behold I had a 10$ burrito that she said nothing about until after she charged my card and I got a receipt . And I asked for salsa and the lady gives me the smallest Thing of green sauce half filled? The food was dry and had no flavor and for the extra 5$ there was seriously no filler other then chicken? I paid for all that stuff and saw a few sprinkles of rice and beans barely in one side. Big waste of money, y'all should check out Qdoba, for 10$ you get a customized burrito and a fat bowl of chips and queso cheese. Oscar's is the BEST Mexican food on the central Oregon Coast! Great burritos, loaded with meat; tacos are wonderful--we like the soft tacos best. Their chili rellenos are amazing and very reasonably priced! Our lunch favorite is the chicken tostada which has lots of chicken with some beans and lettuce. Such good, clean food, great prices, and friendly, family people. It's our favorite--2-3x week! read more

Love the fish tacos, especially love the beef tacos - very good beans and rice, this is as close to visiting a Mexican Restaurant in San Diego as you will get in Oregon. I'd rate it a 5 but it falls short of what I know exists in San Diego, but I give it my highest rating outside of San Diego. The salsa's could use some improvement, more cilantro and definitely some chili's ground into the mix. The pico de gallo has an extraordinary amount of cebollas/onions - I would significantly reduce the amount, they do not compliment the taco dishes at all, especially the fish tacos....just way too overpowering on the onions, tomatoes should predominate, not onions. read more

The place looks run down and sketchy on the outside, but the inside is okay. The food is awesome! Coming from a area full of Mexican restaurants in Washington state, I am always looking to try others when on vacation. We stopped by here since it was right next to our motel and I am glad we did. I got the "Giant Burrito" with Chicken. Talk about a huge serving, the burrito was as big as my calf muscles! Plus, it was only $5.00! It was Delicious! The staff is also nice.
