    Chicken quesadilla.
    Janet M.

Moving here from Portland ( where I lived after growing up in Arizona) we have inflated high hopes for somewhat divey Mexican drive thrus. ( for reference, we love Mexicali Express, Taco del Sol, Don Pedro, and La Parilla Kitchen on the west side of PDX). This was not a great experience. We got two chicken quesadillas with a side of guac and a diet pepsi and I spent $30 including tip. The woman in the window was very nice, the tortilla part of the quesadilla was pretty properly grilled on the outside at least,( although there were some pieces of random meat and veg stuck to the outside of both tortillas), and the red and green hot sauces were good, those are the high points. My diet Pepsi's syrup to carbonated water ratio was off, the guacamole was gloopily weirdly nasty, and the shredded chicken in the quesadilla was stringy and wet. Mediocre. Oh, and the orange cheese inside the quesadilla was strange! Also we expected something to come with the quesadilla for $9.99 -a blob of sour cream, tomato slices with shredded lettuce, a handful of chips, or smidge of rice and beans maybe but that is not the case. My spoiled child, 22, threw most of their meal out. Plus out went the weird slimy guac and my soda. I ate most of my quesadilla but it was just sad, man. We will be either quesadilla-ing at home or hitting a taco truck next time. Try something else but probably skip the chicken.

The drive thru is super fast. The food was delicious, hot, and fresh. Super affordable as well. I ordered Carne fries and it was a great portion of food. I used to live in SoCal, and these fries are the closest to SoCal carne fries that I've found in Western Oregon.

No. Just NO. I feel like this would be the food for "Mexican Night" At an assisted living facility . Bland, no flavor, definitely no spices- of any kind- no heat but also no substance. And they got my order wrong. I had the combo #2- supposed to be a shredded beef taco and a cheese enchilada. Ended up with both being shredded beef. No cheese whatsoever in the enchilada, but lots of onions and bell peppers and some beef- which mildly improved the flavor of the beef- but gave it a Philly cheesesteak sabor rather than Mexican. They topped it with cheese but the cheese wasn't even melted. The tortilla was limp and tasteless. The taco was fried and tasted ok, but the shredded beef had no flavor- tasted like it came from the pre-packed Del Real kitschy you get at the grocery store- no seasoning. And they don't have any hot sauce or salsa available to try and dress any if it up. Rice was over cooked and also flavorless- I think they merely wafted the tomato paste over the dish, rather than actually adding any to the rice. However, the beans were soooo salty! I would say the enchilada sauce tastes like it came out of a can, but I've had plenty of canned enchilada sauce with more flavor than this. The decor and atmosphere definitely match the food. The place is dirty, unkempt, and run down. I do not understand why there are always people here when the food is blah and the inside is a trash heap. You can add a 3rd blah for the customer service. From eavesdropping, , the staff seem to get along and have fun with each other, but none of that transitions to any kind of friendliness or general service atmosphere. Do not waste your money, time or tastebuds on this DUD.

We were in town for the weekend and found Super Oscar's. Great food, great price. Friendly staff. Lots of seating. The menu is huge, I had a hard time picking what to order. I'll be back!

Service was fine, the restaurant itself is big and nice and clean. But the food... below average, I got a carne asada plate which was just little chunks of meat in a pile, like you'd serve to a toddler... it was cold enough to not be considered warm, overall I took a couple of bites of the super dry, cold meat, and ate about half of the rice and beans that was ehh. My fiancé got adobada fries which you could tell was microwaved, cold in the middle warm on the outer edges. It also didn't have much meat whatsoever. We also got a couple of tacos a carne asada and a carnitas. The carnitas one was decent, that's the only reason for 2 stars instead of 1. The carne Asada was the same super dry chunks as on my plate. We doubted that we'd find good Mexican food on the Oregon coast, but seeing this place have 4 stars we had some hope. All of that hope took a $h!t on our plates No hate to the workers though they were nice, keep on making uncultured people happy! Edit: I forgot to mention nothing had flavor! The salsas didn't even help that fact.

chicken Taco salad for the low carb crowd

A really tasty low carb option. We went for the Taco Salad - no shell, no beans - I had the shredded beef and the wife had the chicken. Being one of the 1% that doesn't like Avacado / Guacamole, the wife was kind enough to consume what came with mine as well as hers. I was a little nervous from some recent reviews however I was happily surprised. The place was very clean, seating was comfortable and the food was tasty, hot and generous portions. I found the staff to be friendly and eager to accommodate our non-traditional request. My only suggestion for improvement would be in their beverage choices - the wife avoids caffeine and sugar and they didn't have any choices to match that. I do enjoy diet pepsi and was quite happy with my beverage selection. Under $20 - 2 salads, 2 medium sodas - a lot of food, well seasoned, juicy and cooked to perfection. #lowcarb

My husband and I thought this was pretty good for being so far from the Mexican border!

We go there at least once a week. Love their rolled chicken tacos! They are open 24 hours a day. The drive is quick.

Place is run down. But the food is ok. I've had better. The lettuce is fresh and finely shredded. Everything else is mediocre.

Being from San Diego, this isn't the best Mexican food I have ever had, but for Oregon? Pretty good, and open 24 hours!

The "raves" have to be planted. This is cheap drive thru food. Nothing deserving a repeat.
