The bar is a bit on the smaller side in terms of seating, but it has a TON of personality. I loved the eclectic decorations and knickknacks around the seating areas and the bar. The bartender had the TV tuned in to Jeopardy, so my inner (or extremely obvious?) nerd was beaming. In terms of the drinks themselves, I tried the cocoa orange whiskey (?) infusion on the rocks, and my BF had the chipotle paloma. We would both say they were solid, definitely not at "craft cocktail" level, but decent. This bar has a fun + dive-y feel - the kind of place where you get a beer, a plate of chicken nuggets, and watch trash tv with your neighborhood crew (I think they actually do have people who have a weekly Bachelorette viewing during the week). Definitely worth checking out if you're already in the area and looking for ~vibes.~

I've been coming to this place for 12 years. The rotisserie chicken is always on point. Pro tip: ask for dark meat. I love to make little sandwiches out of the chicken, tostones and salad and dip it into the green sauce, a.k.a. crack, as everyone calls it. I do wish we could order additional small green sauce servings. I know there is an option to order the bottle, but in my experience, it does not last long in terms of peak freshness, maybe 2 weeks or so, so I have found the large bottle to not worth it if you're buying it to have as sauce on file, as I was only able to really use 1/3rd of the bottle each time. Also, not long ago, I tried the pollo saltado. I found it quite a bit saltier than in other restaurants. It was still delicious but I think it would be just as good if not better with a little less salt. read more

good chicken, nice environment... the only problem is that it's in dirty, nasty, now dangerous Ridgewood. Last time I was here there was a makeshift chop shop run by a bunch of gang bangers on the opposite side of the street with $80,000 cars on 40 inch rims coming in and out of there. Once I was unloading my family out front and some guys walked up to us and threatened to beat us up if we didn't move. By us I mean my mom and my grandmother. Sangria is good, their green sauce is amazing. Service has declined since they opened in 2009 however. Do yourself a favor and just get heck outta dodge if you even live near this restaurant. read more

Most people who come from native Hispanics, said, what better way to show that serve good food here. Super Pollo is probably one of the best places in Latin America to eat in Ridgewood, in fact its one of the best places to eat in the Ridgewood period. Many people come to order the rotisserie chicken is pretty good (((unless you do not like the pepper, then the other meats they have are just as attractive) and a wide selection of food they have prepared are excellent fulfilled, and by a huge-as big as two people can eat food dish $ 8.50, it is definitely worth visiting in this place I loveeeeeeeeee read more

Super Pollo has long been a local favorite. I highly recommend trying the Bandeja Paisa - a generous platter featuring grilled steak, beans, eggs, arepa, sweet plantain, chicharrón, and avocado. It's a truly satisfying and flavorful meal, well worth it! The rotisserie chicken is exceptionally juicy, and pairing it with a side of salchipapas makes for a perfect combo. I've been eating here for years and truly love this place. They have recently (within the last year or so) greatly improved the dining room so eating there is a really nice experience and the staff is great. The spicy green sauce is the bomb!!! By the time I got home and opened the container I was shocked. The chicken looked terrible and tasted worse. Dry tough and flavorless. The entire reason I came here was for good baked chicken and instead I was served something that should never have left the counter. When you are serving food that late you still have a responsibility to serve quality or to say it is no longer fresh. I would have preferred honesty over being given food that was clearly past its prime. Imagine having to spend $15 and then you get home to unwind and encounter this? Very disappointed and I will think twice before referring anyone.
