Costumer service was terrible tonight. Came in at 8:00pm, it was 8:40pm my food was not delivered the table next to me that got there at around 8:20 got there food before me. I got up to explain all I wanted to pay for was the drinks, and got an extremely terrible attitude from the waitresses and the owner, not a sorry for late service. Will not be going back there again. And I've also seen rats in front of there establishment and homeless people begging and sleeping at the front door. Shameful honestly. read more

I came here several times for take out but this was my first dinning in experience. I got the churrasco steak with a side of salad and white rice and beans. My daughter got an order of sweet plantains and my friend got a Pernil mofongo with rice and beans as a side. We all enjoyed our meal. The steak was very flavorful and tender- so delicious!! The plantains were cooked to perfection and the mofongo made my friend want to move to DR! She also got a morir sonando which she loved! The service was pretty good. I didn't catch the servers name as she didn't introduce herself but she was nice and attentive to our table. It was loud inside as others around us were drinking and hanging out. We didn't mind though, we were happy they were enjoying their lives. They used to have a outdoor dinning area but I noticed they got rid of it. I called this evening to place an order for delivery. The person that answered couldn't speak English, so she hung up. I called back several times, and each time that I stated that I wanted to place an order for delivery, she hung up. If the employees aren't bilingual, then they shouldn't be answering the phone. Your business is in a diverse community, so your employees need to be able to communicate with non Spanish speaking customers as well. I heard about the food so I decided to do some take out. It's your typical Dominican restaurant when you walk in. Screen shows you the rice, beans, meats. However they have a fully loaded menu (tacos, seafood, etc) you'll have to order that towards the register because there made fresh for you. I noticed if you dine in you'll be able to order alcohol beverages which is super cool. I will definitely come back and sit in to try their drinks. My dad liked the fried pork rice and beans that I got him. I ordered a fried snapper and I got this big platter with a nice size fish. I was impressed by the presentation. I ordered 8 BBQ ribs on the phone with Jhaendy and picked up the order. When I get home it's plain ribs with a cup of BBQ sauce on the side which isn't even enough for 8 pieces of ribs. I called and asked why they sent ribs like this and the ladies who answer the phone told me to put my own sauce. Very bad attitude. I told her I've ordered BBQ ribs many times and it was never sent to me like this. She said well thats too bad that's how they did it. My friend is a big fan of this restaurant located in south ozone park. It's spacious, there's hot food to take out right up front and seating and menus for those willing to stay. It's definitely your typical comfort food if I must say. Dominican Cuisine like someone grandma made it. Service is not bad, not the most professional and that's okay because this is you neighborhood low key local restaurant. My favorite has got to be the mofongo sliders, you get three on a plate & they are pretty good. The rotisserie chicken is so so, a bit on the dry side. The yellow rice and beans are on point always. Their salad is very fresh always. The skirt steak was decent, so was the grilled shrimp. The fact that they stay open till 2 am is a plus! They blacked out ALL their prices on the menu so I ate here again today instead of just using the bathroom. For some reason their prices change without notice due to Covid. But at least I wasn't grossly overcharged because the price on the menu didn't match the price on my check. Had a good meal with good service. The food is delicious. I was there with my mom yesterday 2/8/20 the place Was NOT full but we had to wait a while. We ate and when we were about to pay I saw my bill. Gratuity was automatically added, and a service fee as well. I questioned it. We were a party of 2, not 6 plus. That's the legal TERMS in order to automatically add tip! It's also law NOT to tax the gratuity, which they did. Apparently they charge u svs fee bc u are using your debit card. No where in the restaurant does it state this. So be aware!!! I ordered their T-bone steak which usually come with a side of rice and beans but I substituted it with mashed potatoes with gravy. The food came out pretty fast. They are always packed so should expect to wait before getting seated. Although I asked for a medium rare temperature they made it well done. The steak was well seasoned with full of flavor. Came to order here on a Sunday and the place busy. I asked for the menù since, my order was to go and I wanted it freshly made. I ordered a few plates including the Crab Meat Mofongo, chicharron de pollo. I waited for my order and them I was given my cc receipt to sign which was ready to do so when my wife stopped me and, demanded an itemized bill. Going over it, we discovered why not providing an itemized bill in the first place. We were overcharged for the Mofongo and when questioned, the moron working at the register simply replied that that was what the computer said. When confronted with the actual menu and a totally different and way lowe price, he simply replied that he could show us on their payment management that the price was $16.95 and not the falsely advertised menu price of $11.95. I told him that they are ib the business to trick and fool people out of their hard earned cash and he did not even showed any concern or anything else to a point that we told him he was "Robando" to whomever ordered here. I waited a few weeks to see if, he was smart enough and re adjust the bill.m and he did not. I understand that, this is not a restaurant for a repeat visit for anyone due to their food being so bland and, the tremendous lack of hospitality. I came here on a Sunday night w/ a group of friends to get some dinner. As soon as you walk into the restaurant there is a huge smell of seafood that hits you in the face (heads up for anyone w/ seafood allergies), lucky I took a Benadryl just in case because my friends tend to forget my allergies. Anyways, you enter the restaurant and you will get hit with stares especially if you aren't Hispanic, which isn't a big issue but get ready to get stares from the workers and patrons in the place. We get table and before we sit of the servers clean the table for us, which was nice. After we get seated the waitress comes to get our order. She was super polite was a language barrier of course, I asked for a water and she look confused until I say 'agua' and she understood me. I ordered that skirt steak (med well) w/ rice and beans. I got the smallest steak out of everyone and it wasn't even cooked med well it was actually more along the lines of med rare, it could still see the bright red. Every time that I come to this restaurant, I leave pleased and happy. I love to dine here when I'm in the mood for Spanish food. You can either dine in, order takeout or stay home and place an order for delivery BUT delivery is only for the surrounding neighborhood. Whatever choice you make, you will be pleased.
