Let me start by saying my car is 14 years old. I love my car...still! It's my favorite. The thought of having to get a new car makes me sad. Last week when I got a new message on my dash my thought was immediately "this is it, this is the end." I called SSA and told them the message. They suggested I get my car towed there to avoid any possible damage. Again, I thought this is it. I got my car towed there and that same day I got the call. There was a fix - no worries! I proceeded to have some other maintenance work done at the same time as like I said, I love my car. I picked up my car last night and it feels like a new car again. I have been here a couple times and was pleased with the work. The last time I took my vehicle however, I was given an outrageous quote for a tune up and spark plug changes before my issue was even addressed. Once I informed the shop that I had just gotten those repairs done in 2018 and have been working from home with minimal driving since, my estimate went from $1500 to $300. I only needed a radiator cap, seal, new battery and battery ends! I was happy they were able to fix the problem with all of my lights coming on my dash, and the radiator overheating, but feel that if I didn't assert myself, I would have spent unnecessary money on a car that didn't need the extensive work the staff detailed to me. They described the whole process of removing the minifold and flushing everything and even said the spark plugs would be an additional $140 each depending on how many I needed, (up to 6) and this cost wasn't included in the $1500. So I'm conflicted- Super Saver does excellent work, but if you're a middle aged woman who doesn't know much about cars, like myself, be careful! read more

MECHANIC BILL Understood payments(no problem) -Both Front Axle seals $387 Labor +$33.60 Parts -Transmission service $225.75 Labor + $41.32 Transaxle kit + $64.10 Fluid -Coolant $29.99 (would've been needed regardless of finding the right antifreeze leak culprit) Makes a total of $781.76 that I am Okay with paying. Remainder of the bill is from the "Thermostat + water pump + Water output assembly removal and replacements Grand Total of $1597.69 Refundable payment $815.93 Due to Water pump and thermostat were not the cause of my antifreeze leak problem that I asked to be addressed. Therefore, bad or not upon arrival, I technically never asked for my water pump and thermostat to be replaced. The "Clunking" I asked to be looked at and fixed is something to do with my axles. or my struts. or something in that area. This was not fixed in the slightest. Blames my "cheap parts" referring to my Duralast struts and my new if not next to new front axles from Autozone which i had problems acquiring in the first place to fix the car myself. I made sure they were correct fitting. (so i didn't have to pay them to replace too) I simply asked to check my work on the matter and there seems to be no effort put forth towards such. Employees seemed surprised when i said the clunking was still occurring. So i take them on a 100yd test drive to EASILY show the issue at hand. Showing me, that the test drives that were done couldn't have been all that extensive. Then goes to blame the cars mileage on my issues when in fact it is as simple as take the right broken part out, put a new part in. Just depends on what part is the correct choice. It could've been the whole engine replaced, and that still wouldn't have fixed my antifreeze leak but would have made my old car practically new. Old or not. Tire a pressure sensor is "still" giving warnings (intermittently) even after i had asked for that system to be fixed. During the installation mistake 2weeks prior. 'Super service' has now had two opportunities to fix my TPS situation and seems to have not. Check engine light comes on as soon as I pull up to complain about my lack of service. I have suspicion to believe that the lights problem may have been found, if not actually created on accident while in the shop. The light was cleared long enough to be pawned off to me to find out later after i've already picked up the car and payed the bill. (But only because of the lack of service received thus far. Deformation of character saying i was known by name as a "problem at Firestone automotive" when all i've ever done at firestone was ask where to get the best shop would be for my problems and they referred me to 'Super Service'.
