Got there about 9:30am. Danny was just finishing up with another customer's paperwork. A minute later, it was my turn. Danny did the initial paper work, then brought my car up from its parking space and immediately began the smog check. Ten minutes later I was paying my $50 cash, had my PASS receipt in-hand, and was out the door. My experience made me a believer in all of the other 5-star ratings because I, too, had a 5-star experience! read more

This place is wonderful! I went there today, found two cars ahead of me and still got out of there in great time. Also, the price is very reasonable and the people friendly. I have gone there throughout the years and have had very similar experiences. I give Super Smog 5 stars. read more

DO NOT GO HERE!!! Went to have a standard smog test on my 2004 BMW M3, it has a Dinan Exhaurst System. I waited 10 minutes and then he drove my car and hooked it up, ran the test, came into the office and said since I had an after market exhaust system it would be $10 more, now we're at $60. He proceeded to look on the computer and then entered some information, he then told me my car had failed since he could not find the number of my cold air intake (my car passed the smog test). The information he entered was to the DMV which now means I have to have my car not only retested but unmodified. He knew when he started the engine of my car that the exhaust had been modified, at that time he should of told me of the increase in charge and the possibility of failure, instead he waited until after the fact and then charged me $51.75!!!! REPEAT: DO NOT GO TO SUPER SMOG!!!! read more

I called ahead to check on the wait, and was total there was none. When I got there several other people had showed up. Danny asked if I was the one who called and bumped me up next in line. The smog check took maybe 10 minutes tops. $50 cash including the certificate. I will defiantly be returning here again. read more

Smog Test Only stations. Those are TEST ONLY , They do not repair. I want to be paid when I work. If you take your vehicle for a test you must pay! If you modify your low rider then expect to fail. If you disconnected the battery of your car, your vehicle will fail. Please be informed, all this guys putting one starts are ignorant about laws and regulations regarding smog check program. This place is doing all right! read more

Super Smog is a Super Scam! Danny quoted me a price over the phone of $61.00 the same price I got from the shop near me. Since my car was in the shop being repaired near him I thought it would be perfect for him to do the smog test. NOT! Danny called the next day saying he had done the smog test and wanted payment of $75.00!! I told him that was NOT what we agreed to and that he was pulling a scam and he was fully aware what he was doing! He didn't care just wanted a check or cash that he didn't take credit cards! I told him I couldn't get to his shop because my car was still In the shop and wasn't working. He didn't care, he expected me to get a ride to his shop or take a taxi! So the shop where I was having my car repaired had to charge my credit card and walk over to Danny and pay him since I was stuck at home with no way to drive to his shop. I talked to my neighbor who recommended me to the auto shop near by. He said he and everyone around there don't go to Danny because they know what scams he pulls. Danny you're a real jerk! I get the feeling from reading other one star reviews for you that Karma's not far from knocking on your door. read more

The "scare" tactic didn't work on me and I could tell the tech was annoyed that I chose to leave instead of leaving my car with them. Too bad for you I'm not a dumb woman. Shame on you.

Watch out for this test only smog station! Super Smog (51 Auto Center Dr. #3 Irvine CA 92618)... and the technician Danny Choe will perform unnecessary EVAP tests on your vehicle to milk you for money and increase the odds of failing the test. He is a bate N Switcher on pricing, He implied that the coupon I brought to him was his when in fact it was the smog station a few doors down from him. He also lied to me and told me that because I failed the EVAP test he would only charge me $15.00 to run another EVAP test after I fixed the issues. I went back the next day for a 2nd try.....He tried to charge me for another complete smog test one day later! BATE N SWITCH! Furthermore, because he did the EVAP test on my vehicle he separated vapor lines attached to the fuel tank which caused me to have to pull my gas tank out to re-attach the hoses! Obviously I did not stick around for him to fail me on another EVAP test and steal $67.00 from me! A PLUS SMOG in Lake Forest did the test for me at a discount when I showed them what SUPER SMOG did to me. The technician showed me on the CA GOV. website that my vehicle was NOT required to have the EVAP test! Basically SUPER SMOG stole $67.95 from me and about 3-4 hours of my time to drop my fuel tank to fix hoses that he broke or separated while performing the NOT REQUIRED EVAP TEST! DANNY CHOE either really stupid about the laws and regs. or he is a thief and milks you for money! DO NOT GO THERE UNLESS YOU REALLY ARE LOOKING FOR TROUBLE AND WANT TO GIVE YOUR MONEY TO SUPER SMOG!I I will provide any receipts and or other proof to anyone who doubts my claim about what I say.... The guy/owner/operator of Super Smog, Danny is a liar, and cussing in front of young kids or elderly people is normal for him. Once in a while, when he takes his anti-psychotic medication, his behavior is in check, otherwise, he is who he is, an angry, mean, anti-social psychotic, who can out cuss any military person out there. If you're in the Irvine area and you need a smog check, I highly recommend Super Smog the next time you're due. These guys were absolutely awesome to work with. I have an older car and I was worried that I was going to fail. Sure enough I did, and while he couldn't tell me exactly what was wrong, he mentioned several things that could be causing my car to fail the smoke check. I had them checked out, fixed what I could, and returned to Super Smog again. This time I passed, and I definitely owe the guys there for giving me ideas on what was wrong. read more

I opened my registration letter at the last moment and realized I needed to get a smog check (Due Feb 16, 2011 opened letter on Feb 15, 2011). I went on line to find stations near my job and saw the great reviews for Super Smog. Called in advance to get the wait time and fee. Danny was very nice, personable, and professional. It took a while, but I also came on the weekend on a busy day. Once they had my car hooked up, the test took less than 10 minutes (I passed, of course, because unlike some of the negative reviewers, I take care of my car and am aware of smog regulations). Be on the lookout for their coupon online...I used one that gave me a smog check for $29.99 + dmv fees. read more

Complete waste of time. The guy was rude, unprofessional, and tried to scam me by tacking on extra fees just because I didn't have cash.
