I came to this location after my Mobile Mechanic was not able to fix my car inside of my garage. I had just gotten my oil changed at my local dealership and they told me my front driver side axle was leaking. The dealership quoted me $859 which I knew was a complete and total rip off. My Mobile Mechanic suggested I go see Oscar and I am so glad that I did. He pre-ordered the part for me and when it came in and wasn't the right size his front desk kindly drove me home, which was easily a 10+ minute drive away from their shop, which I very much appreciated. Incredibly unprofessional behavior. Go elsewhere, there are MANY options nearby. After I paid and was leaving, one of the workers was on the phone and completely relaxed and leaning on my car on the driver's side mirror. He saw me and quickly got off without apologizing at all, and remained busy on the phone. My car was parked crooked halfway in the shop doors, halfway not. Not even parked in a proper parking spot? I will definitely not return to this business based off the lack of respect and care. I found it extremely rude coming from a place you trust with your car. Customer service was awful. read more

Based on my experience, I would not recommend them for any mechanical repairs. Been here twice so far. First time my Subaru just had a dead battery so it didn't have enough data in the ECU and it failed smog. They let me know and didn't charge me. CAUTION ON SMOG TESTS!! I was working in OC and decided to go ahead and get my smog down to register my vehicle. Earlier in the day I had a dead battery and AAA had to replace it. I pulled up, owner came out and hooked up a code reader to my van and then walked away for awhile. I was just left standing there wondering why it wasn't being brought in to the emissions test area. FINALLY, after awkwardly standing there awhile he said "ok, you're all set just go inside and they'll take care of you." I thought, that's strange my vehicle never went on the equipment. The girl inside asked what I needed, explained the owner asked me to come in. He quietly slipped her a note and she charged me for the SMOG test. THEN the owner explains that if you get a new battery you have to drive 50 miles before smog. I feel ripped off. Waste of time and money. BE CAREFUL HERE!!! read more

I did not ask the guy his name, but he was awesome. I went there to do a pre-purchase inspection of a chevrolet cargo van I am planning on buying. Affordable price, and he let me know that there is an issue with the vehicle but it is because the monitor did not reset - you need to drive it a few hundred miles to reset it. (That is my vague explanation, I know nothing about cars). Anyway, I had the dealership that I am planning on buying it from drive it 200 miles then bring it back here, the guy checked the car again, and everything was good. Very nice guy, friendly, efficient service. Will definitely be coming here again for car maintenance and whatnot. Wish I knew his name so I could leave it in the review. I read other reviews saying this place can be tricky to find, and I agree with that. I used the McLaren entrance to get here, rather than coming straight from Rockfield. It's in a business park so it's hard to tell where this place is. The sign is small so it kind of blends in with the other businesses. If you just drove around slowly and carefully read the signs you'll find it. The main entrance leads you to the waiting room, but there's not really a front desk area where someone is waiting to help you. When I showed up, around lunchtime, I just called to one of the mechanics working in the other room and he was able to help me. I was in and out in about 15 minutes. Everything went smoothly. It cost $45 for the smog check. I will definitely come back here in the future. read more

I came in for a smog check and oil change. He was quick to get it done. But when I got my car back it smelled like something was burning, but I had to rush back to work. It continued to smell like that and I took it to Valvoline for an air filter change and they informed me a green fluid was leaking everywhere. And that the hose looked like it was knocked out. I've been out of town since, so I haven't even been able to get this looked at. But I'm afraid to go back here now bc they might ruin it more or they just won't care to fix it. I have a very hard time trusting companies, in which you have to trust them on their word completely. This would apply to dentists, contractors, mechanics, solar installation companies that completely destroy your tile roof (I'm still a bit peeved about that experience), etc. one of my work vans had antifreeze leaking from it, so I took it into Bake Smog to get checked out. They are close to my work, so I figured I'd give them a try. They did an initial diagnosis and shared that unfortunately, it was my heater core. Those are inside your vehicle, under the dashboard, where water from your engine cooling system is circulated through to provide heat to your interior cabin. Although it wasn't a new motor or anything, it also wasn't a simple/cheap fix. I gave them the green light to go ahead and do it, so they ordered the parts and got to work. When I went to pickup my van, they shared that it was actually less expensive than what they had initially quoted, because once they got it all pulled apart, the heater core wasn't bad, it was just a loose connection inside. This was a Huge sign of integrity, from anyone supplying a service. They already had the clearance to perform the work quoted, they had ordered parts to fix it and they were delivered to their shop. The item needed to be fixed was in a completely sealed off part of the vehicle, so I would have never known if it was a bad hose clamp or heater core. Even with all of that, they did the right thing, completed the repair that was needed, took the lesser paying option to move forward and had the parts returned that they had ordered. Best, most reliable nicest mechanics in Orange County. I went in for a smog test and walked out with a new air pump, brake lights, a fixed door, new oil and a new oil cap for a price so low I can't disclose it. My mom had previously taken my car to Sears Auto Center for some maintenance and I went to these guys for a smog check after. Not only did the mechanics find why my car wasn't passing smog and showed my exactly what was wrong ( by taking me under the car and demonstrating why the air pump was broken) but they found that the Sears guys had broken my oil cap and my car had been hemorrhaging oil like a dying goat. Long story short, these guys hooked me up. They took the time to show and explain to me everything they were doing And even though their English isn't the best I know a hell of a lot more about cars now These guys are nice, honest and fast.
