The problem I encountered was with the wash itself. Every stage of the wash was too much. The water, the rollers and brushes, the soaping, and the dryers were all aggressively aggressive. So aggressive that my car registered a fender-bender. It was insane how aggressive it was. I guess for some, it may be a positive, but for me not so much. It could be toned down a bit. Overall, I'd stick to the other locations. If aggressive is your thing, then this place is definitely for you. read more

This superstar car wash has a very aggressive employee named Christian who if you don't buy, the membership will get very rude. He actually told us if we didn't want what he was trying to show us and we only wanted the single car wash we should just get the F out of there. We were shocked to say the least we've gone there for years, but this was the first time that anything like this has happened, the sheriffs were called out by us. Others in line were in shock at his outburst. Then he continued to circle our car as if he wanted to become aggressive with my husband, mind you we are senior citizens. We will not be back. tldr: Immediately after using this car wash, my tire was punctured by a large piece of metal. The air was exhausting so quickly that the damage clearly happened right then, costing me two hundred sixty dollars to replace. Management denied responsibility and handled it poorly. The replies here repeatedly tell reviewers to contact customer service through their website. I did exactly that. The process consists of canned, template email responses with no real investigation, and it ultimately ends with a flat denial of responsibility and no explanation. I had been a paying member for about a year. Today was the first and only drive I made all day, straight from my house to this location. While being lined up to enter the wash, the attendant guiding cars onto the track spit forcefully on the ground directly in front of my vehicle. Gross and unprofessional. After exiting the wash and pulling around to vacuum, I noticed one of my tires was already very low. The air was leaking it was hissing and loosing air so fast that there is no realistic scenario where this did not happen at the car wash. My car is only eight months old with about five thousand miles on it. I inspected the tire and found a large metal object embedded through the tread. I had to drive across the street to a tire shop, where the tire was not repairable and had to be replaced for two hundred sixty dollars, costing me about an hour. I returned with the metal object hoping management would address the issue. They immediately denied it could have happened there and showed no interest in documenting anything. They said I couldn't go look at the track for safety issues so I had to take their word. Between the vehicle damage, unprofessional behavior, and dismissive response, I canceled my membership and will not be back. If you care about your car or accountability, avoid this place at all costs. read more

I was originally paying for a standard car wash that was a bit expensive but I come here often to just get a quick wash so I didn't mind the price. Kie was very adamant about me switching over to this $20 monthly deal that was limited time only. I went today with my husband and daughter to wash our truck, and we had a very unpleasant experience with an employee named Malcom. When we pulled up to the car wash, he was the one who approached us asking what we needed help with. We told him we wanted a basic car wash, and instead of kindly helping us, he responded with a rude attitude, saying something like, "So you want the basic car wash which is $12 or the $16?" My husband thought the $16 was the basic option, so he selected it. Malcom then told us, "No, go back. This is the basic -- the $12 one," in a very rude and unprofessional tone. He didn't explain, he dismissed us. I stood up for my husband and asked, "Is that how you treat all customers?" and Malcom just laughed it off like it was no big deal. We were polite and simply needed help, but instead we were met with sarcasm and disrespect. It made us feel uncomfortable and unwelcome. I hope the management addresses this kind of behavior. read more

I then contact, send all the necessary documentation of the incident, you tell me it was received. Nothing happens after that, no refund of the damage, no attempt at making this right whatsoever, then I wait for months, then I write a review, then you tell me to do the whole thing over again! I want my money back plain and simple. This is going to the Better Business Bureau. Best car wash in the Vista area and your ride or vehicle will shine bright like a diamond after it has been here and it is the best self service car wash I ever been to all the equipment works and all the chemicals work and after you have driven it through the wash they have vacuums, rags and air hoses to completely dry and clean your whole ride inside and out so when you are done and driving out your ride will look like a million bucks!!! However you don't have to pay a million bucks to have your ride looking shiny cause the value is amazing! I've been to a lot of superstar carwash locations. This one is by FAR the worst one in So Cal or Arizona. There's usually very few clean towels and most of the vacuums have minimal suction. Some portion of the car wash itself is usually not working. Sometimes the people that work here are cool but Malcom? That's a joke. Not sure what his deal is but don't ever mention a problem to him. Condescending and disinterested. I highly recommend avoiding this location at all costs. The location on Melrose is great. read more

I understand you want to sell memberships, but when someone says no three times, don't harass them and ask "why not?" Additionally, he stared at me the entire time I dried off my car then when I asked to speak to his supervisor, he falsely accused me of giving him the finger and mocked me by saying "you're a grown man crying" because I had a complaint. Been a member for a couple years now , and have seen this location slowly go down hill . Wheel and Tire shine has been broken for a year now ( employees have said they were told to repair it would cost a lot ) Vacuums continue to be out of order , and i received a $10 per month increase without any notification after paying the regular rate for 2 years . Even with things still not fixed which I've been paying for. There have been 3 new locations that have opened up in the past year and all are bigger, clean and fully equipped and functional. Will be driving to the Melrose location as well as the Location on the 76 freeway in oceanside. read more

Their memberships are a scam. They look for any excuse to cancel your membership so that you miss out on the full annual service. I'm not even able to get to my account because I don't know the last four of the card that I used because it was replaced due to a fraudulent charge so the credit card company closed it and sent me a new card. I haven't had my membership for a year so it's a rip off. I would advise anybody to avoid their plans. You can't call customer service and you can't email them unless you know your credit card number it's a very effective way of shutting people out so that they don't have to take the time to reinstate your account so I'll just be getting my car washes somewhere else no harm no foul, but I'm not gonna be ripped off by these jerk offs. read more

I have now been trying to get ahold of these people for weeks...I initiated a problems weeks ago and todate I've received the same BS statement that they are working "HARD" on my problem....I would stay away from this business altogether. The car wash it's self is terrible. The so called "Damp micro fiber" clothes are to wet, and given there wash water is apparently being used over and over, the clothes leave dirty streets on my windows, the air to blow out excess water barely works, not to mention the vacuums down pick up well ,and the Tireshine doesn't work well at all. I started at this location, and got on a monthly plan. I've come here virtually once a week for a couple of years and definitely got my fair share of car washes in. Spaces are a little tight and that's mainly why I prefer the other location off Mission Ave. There are way more space and each space is large enough for everyone to keep their doors wide open if they want, while they vacuum. Not fond of the homeless that are almost always nearby but that whole area suffers from this, so it's not the car washes fault. read more

I had an absolutely incredible experience with the entire staff, Raquel, and Bella and the other two gentlemen that were there on i believe it was last Wednesday. I started going to superstar car wash a few years ago. Since then, my car has gotten multiple scratches and last month my antenna cover came off in the car wash. I filed a claim at the car wash with a manager who never turned in my claim form. I tried emailing claims and without response. I asked him for a refund and to speak to someone regarding the damages They told me all they could do is give me a gift card. I requested to speak to a manager and again no response. Unfortunately I had a very poor experience here. First the staff kept trying to upsell me to a subscription, telling him numerous times I was not interested. My car was not washed after I went through the wash, so I had to wipe a lot off myself as well as dry it off myself. The worst part however is that my car got chipped paint all over from this car wash. I spoke to the workers, who even put on my complaint form that the foam rollers could not have done this. I googled it and showed them multiple sites that say that foam roller car washers can do this however. I was told I would get a call back. A month later, and I never received a call back. I called the company who said the district manager, Ross, would call me back. He sounded very rude to me on the phone in his tone and explained to me how the rollers are high tech and can't do that. Having a large chip on my door, I think I would have noticed that previously. Or any of these marks. I called back the company who said his verdict was final however. So now I will have to pay out of pocket to fix the chips in my paint as I do not keep my car in this condition. It's unfortunate their car wash left me with damages and their customer service was just as bad as the wash. I looked at reviews after and saw other people saying this exact thing has happened to them. I hope it doesn't to you. In the past, I went to a Yelp elite event for soapy joes car wash. I would highly recommend them as my car came out clean, dry and with no chips and scuffed paint. After seeing the reply from the business owner, I do not agree. I had young staff who said that due to having foam rollers, they could not have caused these marks on my car. The district manager said the same thing. I felt like they were telling me I was lying and had damages to my car previously and was being manipulative. I am as honest as they come, and these are all new marks on my car that I will have to pay out of pocket as I do not keep my car in this condition. If any of you do a google search on whether foam rollers on a car wash can do damage, you will see multiple sites saying that they do. So I am saddened that this company cannot see how it could have happened, and leaving me to pay put of pocket to fix my car. read more

It's absolutely negligent and unethical business practices for your manager Carmen at this location to have been approached about an issue with the car wash machine having had DAMAGED a vehicle and for her to have SHRUGGED it off and said "well I have no control over the mechanics. At most I can stop the wash." And then she decides to walk off to proceed to pass more cars through the wash. Ma'am? Be so fr right now...You're telling me you're gonna keep it going even though it JUST DAMAGED a vehicle? Didn't even bother to ask what happened she just shrugged it off and walked away. In all seriousness WTF. So I went back to my car to get my second witness to the incident so we could ask her for the claim paper work in case she wanted to deny me it. That's when she replied with: "yeah, okay. Then give me a minute when I'm done (passing more cars through the wash) I will get you the paper work." They have sped up the car wash so your car doesn't come out as clean as it used to and the last 5 times I've been here there are no clean towels to dry with at any station. Also, don't even think about trying to cancel or change the card that your account is billed to. ALMOST impossible. They will be guaranteed to have issues with the system doing this.
