Had a great interaction with the friendly staff and appreciate the atmosphere. Apparently this used to be a house and it's so beautiful to sit inside and enjoy a meal. Excuse me? How am I just finding out about this place? Super Super Restaurant is a pho-laden treasure that needs to be protected at all costs. Don't let the somewhat-sketchy, outdated building scare you off-- this is truly the ultimate test of not judging a book by its cover, because overcoming that dingy appearance is more than worth it LOL For COVID safety purposes, Super Super is pickup only for the time being. All indoor and outdoor seating has been folded up and packed away. We called in our order and were able to pick it up within 15 mins. Employees here are quiet but courteous, and specially stamp takeout boxes to distinguish dishes from each other. Love it! FRESH SHRIMPS SPRING ROLL: I will never turn down a good spring roll. And with a good peanut sauce? To die for. I appreciate that they don't skimp on the shrimp! SUPER PHO COMBO: Broth is the backbone of any good pho. It can really make or break a dish, regardless of accessories-- well, this was just divine. Super Super nails aromatic, savory broth without compromising overall freshness or balance. The veggies, noodles, meat, herbs-- everything was delicious. I was more than happy to slurp the whole serving down, and I don't typically eat a lot! Though the portions are a tad smaller than an average Viet spot, I imagine that takeout containers restrict the full experience of having an enormous bowl of pho to yourself. Come here all the time. #1 pho is super beefy and their bowls are always heated before putting the broth in the bowl making the hot broth last longer. I wish it was a little more fatty and herbal but it's good enough for me. Spring rolls are super fresh and love the cilantro and pickled daikon and carrot on the side, adds to the flavor. Excellent Banh Mi sandwiches. I work nearby and end up getting a Banh Mi almost once a week. I usually go for the pork or chicken but you can tell the sandwiches are legit because they also offer a combo with chicken, pork, ham, and pate. The bread is well toasted but still fluffy inside. The sauce has little bit of heat but nothing too spicy. And there is plenty of flavorful meat in each sandwich. Parking is super easy and the staff is super nice as well. read more

The noodles were a little mushy but they were cut into short strands which I liked because I can easily fit it onto my spoon. My daughter loved the chicken wings. They were really crispy. Went to pick up some pho for my kid who had a bad day, because of course pho will make her feel better. Within two hours, she had violently barfed up every bite. Inspection of the pho revealed stiff & rubbery chicken, the kind that looks like it's been warmed up too many times. I guess I should have guessed when there wasn't even one other person eating in the dining room but I thought hey, maybe it's still too early. I don't know why this restaurant gets good reviews, maybe we got the wrong dish? Or the wrong day? But I'm telling you, that pho made my kid sick, so we won't be returning. read more

Is it ok to admit I've eaten here 2 days in a row?! At first I was a little turnt off by the 8.95 per Bahn mi, but it is too damn good to stay mad or away. I've had pretty good sandwiches at the post pandemic inflated prices at around 6.00, but this was better. Better veggies, better meat, amazing bread. Love these, it's perfect in every way. Their pho is good too. We have been getting it to go, but the covered patio is super cute and has a surprising amount of ambience being right off of San Pablo. Not super. I ordered a combination pho to eat at the restaurant and 3 banh mi to go. The prices are relatively high - over $15 for pho and about $10 for a banh mi. And the portions are skimpy. The pho broth was okay- but very little noodles or meat. The banh mi are way worse. The combo, which is supposed to have ham, pork, chicken, and pate, has a minimal amount of each. Completely bathed in mayonnaise. Very sweet. And the bread is sweet and chewy---nothing like the crispy, flakey bread of quality places. It's a joke that this place currently has 4.5 stars, especially given all the quality Vietnamese joints in the area. Stay away. read more

We picked this place out randomly on our way home from SF. We ordered the #1 and the #7, both were amazing. The Pho broth was some of the best I have had and didn't have too much star anise flavor, it was very rich. The noodle salad was the correct temperature and the dressing was really good. A perfect mix of sweet and salty with just enough fish sauce to taste and not be overpowering. Portions were really big and we could not finish our plates. Service was also very good. Value was good as well. $42 for both dishes and two beverages. We will be back and might make this our spot when traveling home from the Bay Area. This is our favorite place for pho in the bay area. Have not had the depth of flavor that We have experienced here. The fresh spring rolls are also Delicious! We wanted to find a pet friendly eatery since we were celebrating our grandpup's 2 nd birthday. Had just spent the morning at Point Isabel and it was time for lunch. They have their own parking lot and also an outdoor eating area. Was surprised so many diners chose to eat outdoors. You place your orders inside then self serve your utensils and cups for water. An elderly man brought out our bowls one by one and each time he said "choo choo" like a train as he approached our table. The first time I heard that I must have subtly raised my eyebrows slightly. When it happened two more times figured that's how he brings your food out. Perhaps because we were outdoors the broth was not temperature hot. It was mildly seasoned vs the richer version I'm used to but I did finish all my noodles. It was a good lunch choice especially if you have a cough. Hubs mentioned that at home I/we usually get a side order of thinly sliced onions, add it to steaming hot soup and douse it with hoisin and sriracha sauces. I wouldn't even ask if it was available here, I might get a reply like "not on menu lady, all aboard." I am glad that there is a pho place here. The beverages made the lunch. I got the super pho and my gf got the beef ball pho and we both agreed that our bowls sucked. I enjoyed the sauce in the sandwich which I know most banh mi places don't do. Only downfall is how pricey it is. My boyfriend liked his beef pho (rare beef and well done flank), the broth was flavorful and not oily. He wished there was more noodles but said the meat was tasty. The iced coffee had too much ice. We sat at the outdoor seating area. You have to order at the register first and then find your own seat. It wasn't busy when we were here during lunchtime on a Saturday. It was ok. Pretty average. I do think their menu is a little limited, I asked for the combo and they notified me they don't have tendon and others that usually come with it. I got the pho and my partner got the bbh. I honestly think they use the same broth for both but add a little of the bbh season and shrimp paste to the bowl. They used brisket for both bowls. Now the broth, I think it had potential. But it tastes like they try to stretch it out a lot. A little diluted. My noodles were over cooked and the noodles for the bbh were too thin for my liking. So ding dang lucky to live a short walk away from this spot. Lately we call to place a pick up order but they built a lot of outdoor seating that's now enclosed for warmth! We typically get a rare steak pho each, fries spring rolls to share, and fries for the little one. The fries are the item that varies the most and I never know if we're going to get crinkle cut or what but it's always similar quality. The pork banh mi is great, too. This place gets it with the right amount of meat, veggies, & bread proportion ratio along with that savory Vietnamese Mayo (Made of Oil, Salt, Egg Yolk,& Lemon Juice usually)! I was pretty impressed, and the portions here are pretty big, even if it is a bit pricier than normal. Overall I enjoyed having lunch here, theres a beautiful outside patio & they also have other Vietnamese favorites as well!
