Tried their Banh Mi sandwich instead of the Pho this time. Got the combo with chicken, beef, and pork. I was thinking it'd be the cold cuts, but nahhhh it's real chicken, beef, and pork loaded inside which was a lovely change to try. I actually enjoyed it with the triple meats! However, wayyyyy too much mayo and does not include Pate, you have to order Pate as an extra add-on, but only $1 extra. Overall, great sandwich but wayyyy too much mayo. I'd ask for light mayo next time! Extremely untraditional combo banh mi sandwich, but always nice to try something new!

We ordered pick up for Banh mi's from Super Super. This review is just for the sandwiches. I ordered the combo which has all the meat available. The sandwich is very mayo heavy. Wish it had more pate flavor than mayo. The sandwich itself is filling but not a very traditional banh mi sandwich.

A friend recommended this stylish pho restaurant just outside Berkeley. The seating area has a great atmosphere, making it a nice place to relax and enjoy a meal. It was quiet during lunchtime, and the food was served quickly. I eat pho quite often, and this one was light, flavorful, and delicious. The staff were also friendly and welcoming.

===TL;DR=== - Beef spicy lemongrass noodle aka BBH - Super pho combination ===TMI=== We weren't sure if we entered through the correct door but it seems like it was their parking lot door. We sat at their patio seating area which was sheltered. Super simple, fuss free menu. Their proportion was huge and their soup base was lovely. They don't have all the extravagant ingredients but everything hits the spot. Worth a try.

This was my husband's and my first time trying this restaurant. When you arrive, you place your order and pay at the counter first, then take a seat in the dining area to enjoy your meal. The prices are quite reasonable, and the food was pretty good overall. For me, the broth wasn't as rich or flavorful as I had hoped, though they do give you a generous amount of it. The staff provided decent service -- not outstanding, but not bad either. There are several pho restaurants along this street, and this was the first one we decided to try. Overall, it wasn't bad at all and definitely worth a visit, but it's not quite my top favorite just yet.

I was in the area and decided to stop by because I wanted a bahmi sandwich. This place looks like a house. As soon as you walk in there was a waiting area. Then the had the menu with some pictures. I ordered a shrimp bahmi sandwich. The price was reasonable I paid $11 and not every restaurant has shrimp.y sandwich was done very fast. The veggies were very fresh and the shrimp was good. They had a mayo sauce. Overall very good.

    Beef and meatball pho

Solid 4.5/5 Got the steak and meatball pho. Friendly service, parking in the back, fair price. More of a hole in the wall feel but cleanliness isn't an issue. The pho was good. Broth was hot, noodles not overcooked, clean and beefy (not artificial) broth. I'd happily come back

Came by for late pho lunch and it was perfect for a cold, rainy day. They don't really have "outdoor seating" as their "outdoors" area consists of wooden plank floors with a simple covering overhead. Their "indoors" area is nonexistent, it's just a place where you order at the cashier, with a few...like two tables by the register. Anyways, bundle up on a cold day, as there are no heaters, and the seating area isn't fully insulated. BUT the pho will warm you right up! I love me some beef tendon, and I was sad to see that their pho options were flank, steak, and tripe pretty much...really simple beef pho options. There's also veggie pho and chicken pho ga options as well. The pricing is slightly higher than pho in Oakland/Merritt area, but the quality and portions are well worth the price. The pho comes out hot and their trimmings include lemon, basil, jalapeno and bean sprouts. I wish we had lime and mint as well, but theirs is quite basic. Super Super is great for large groups, and pet-friendly. They also have their own parking lot that fits maybe like 10 cars? Also street parking too. Service is efficient and basic, seems family-run which I love!

Honestly, I go here almost every week. I now have my boyfriend and coworkers addicted to Super Super. I can't tell even begin to explain how delectable the beef broth is. It pairs perfectly with the chicken banh mi. I swear, they have me in a literal chokehold. The family is so so so sweet and their service is so kind. I will never stop hyping them up!

Best Báhn mì I have ever had. I didn't get a chance to take pictures of the other items ordered because my kids ate so fast! We ordered the chicken rice plate and chicken vermicelli. Both plates were made to order and had very fresh-tasting ingredients. The restaurant has a parking lot in the rear and plenty of seating options inside. The scenery is relaxing and the service is quick. The gentleman who took our order was courteous and helpful in making recommendations as it was our first time visiting. I am definitely planning on returning to try more items.

Huge servings, authentic food, and a big space! I came with a couple friends and the food came out really quickly. You order at the front desk, then you pick a table with your number and they bring the food to you. Their chicken banh mi was so well flavored with a great sauce! Id come back again to get that another time! :)

Chicken Pho Specialty without any noodles + add vegetables instead!

So for anyone who knows me they know I love a really good noodle soup whether it be Japanese Udon or Ramen or something else so when I wanted to have some kind of hot soup tonight for dinner, I thought about having Pho. The only problem with that is I've been on a ketogenic diet for the last six weeks and I have to keep my carb count way down and the rice noodles would completely blow me out of the water for probably a whole weeks worth of carb counts but like they always do, this place has always to accommodated my dietary needs, and we're able to provide me with a Chicken Pho with no noodles, add Vegetables instead along with the normal herbs and bean sprouts etc... It was still really quite tasty as it was packed with cut up cabbage, broccoli, a little bit of sliced onion, and I topped it off with the basil and the bean sprouts and the jalapeño peppers ! I still miss the noodles, but it gives me something to look forward to once I lose another 10 or 15 pounds! This is why this is one of my goto Pho places in town! Thank you Super Super! You guys are The Best!!!

Cute neighborhood restaurant with a small parking lot. Very low key and clean. The menu was not as extensive as other places, but seem to focus on essentials. Pho was one size for about $16ish, but it was a large bowl with lots of noodles. Pretty plain but with good flavor. The bahn mi was more of a regular sandwich, with not so great tasting meat. I'd skip that. Service was friendly and fast.

Pho comes out quickly, and different dishes have different cuts of meat (I chose 12 with the brisket and round steak). You also get vegetables with your order (bean sprout, basil (eating it definitely changes the flavor of the food), and jalapeño). Would recommend the pho here. The pho was a bit off in terms of the broth-to-noodle ratio. I usually like to taste the broth first before getting a bite of everything, but as soon as I dipped my spoon in, I could already tell how many noodles were packed into the bowl. Once the noodles loosened up, there wasn't much soup left. The broth itself was darker, but not in the rich, deeply flavorful way. It tasted more like it had been seasoned heavily at the end with too much bouillon, fish sauce, or something similar, making it too salty without much aroma. The brisket was good, and I did enjoy the traditional toppings like tripe and tendon, but I probably wouldn't come back for the pho. The rice plate with lemongrass pork and shrimp was decent. I just wish there had been more scallion oil, and the salad didn't add much to the plate. Fresh tomatoes, cucumbers, and carrots would have gone a long way.

Background: Parents were born in Vietnam. Wife is Vietnamese and I've been to Vietnam more than…read morehalf a dozen times. I eat Viet food almost every day. Highlights: The viet coffee was strong, thick, sweet, and creamy, with what could be chicory flavor. Not always in traditional ca phe sua da but it was good and worthy of getting again. You'll get a good amount of caffeine with this. The atmosphere is pretty nice. Aesthetics is on the nicer side compared to even most modern Vietnamese restaurants. Letdowns: The bun bo hue lacked flavor. It tasted watered down and over-salted to compensate. It lacked much of the complexity a traditional bun bo hue has with the herb and spices. I'm used to a more brown like broth. This was a much more orange type of broth. My mother in law agrees that the flavor just ain't there. The special vermicelli that includes chicken, beef, shrimp and egg rolls was also a miss. The chicken was ok. Imagine a Panda Express teriyaki chicken but a bit drier and without a strong teriyaki taste. The beef was soft and not chewy which is a good thing, but the flavor was lacking. Needs more herbs. I would've particularly liked some lemongrass flavor with it. The egg rolls are smaller and has pork which is what you would expect but you didn't really taste the meat. It wasn't as crispy, either. I prefer a deeper crunch but that is a matter of preference. Some might dig the more delicate crispiness, but those at the table agree the flavor was lacking. The sauce was decent. Not overly sweet, some vinegar for balance, it was alright. The fried chicken with house sauce is fish sauce based, which I'm a fan of fish sauce flavor in general. But when it came out, the pungent smell was apparent and overwhelming. Not the one to prejudge before taking a bite, I gave it a bite and it was super dry. Like it's been sitting in the oven staying warm too long waiting for the sauce to be put on it dry. I've had chicken wings from the buffet that was better than this. And I hate buffets. Too dry, too salty, couldn't finish it. Normally, when food comes out too strong, we can pack it home and fix it, but this wasn't worth packing. You can fix flavor but you can't fix the dryness. There may be many reasons why the food didn't turn out well, but for all the misses and the few hits, I would not give it another chance.

It's small, but surprisingly roomy, with quick friendly service and lovely varied art arrayed on the walls in little themed sets. First, i tried their intriguing tart salted plum lemonade! An awakening flavor without overwhelming the meal. What a lovely red-plum color! I loved their bright fresh shrimp spring rolls, (gỏi cuốn tôm) of a generous number of medium-size chilled shrimp, with al-dente vermicelli, crisp fresh bean sprouts, cucumber, and lettuce, competing fresh bright mint and tart pickled shredded daikon and carrots, all wrapped in nearly transparent firm but ready-to-melt rice paper. Besides the nice light crunch of the shrimp, what sets this apart is the savory slightly sweet peanut dipping sauce. I can't get enough! Their fried calamari (Muc Chien) is tender with enough resistance, delicately coated in a simple lightly seasoned salt & pepper thin crust, with a lightly seasoned lemon sauce. You wont find a better lighter calamari. I had their pho chicken (Phở Gà (Bánh Phở Tươi)), tender strips of juicy chicken breast and flat noodles in lightly salty chicken broth, that I garnished from the side-dish of crispy fresh bean sprouts, minty basil, squeezed bright lime, and for me just a touch of fresh jalapeno, cut to bring some heat. Of course you can customize the pho with different meats and broths. It was exactly the fresh gentle lunch i was hoping for.
