We had lunch today and the food was great as always. However the stand out of the meal was our waitress. Ashley. She was friendly, knowledge and went out of her way to make sure we got what we ordered the way we wanted it. I had an amazing experience at Super Taco Express, and a huge part of that was our server, Paulina. From the moment we walked in, she greeted us with a warm smile and made us feel genuinely welcome. She was friendly, attentive, and checked on us throughout our meal without ever being overbearing. Paulina was knowledgeable about the menu, made great recommendations, and made sure our food came out exactly as ordered. Her positive attitude and outstanding customer service really stood out and made our visit even more enjoyable. It's hard to find service this genuine these days, and Paulina went above and beyond to make sure we had a great experience. First of all this is in Wilton, with an Elk Grove address which is a little weird (at intersection of Grantline and Wilton Rd). It is a bit of a hole in the wall tucked in a tiny strip mall with very little parking so not sure what happens when Super Taco, the pizza place and the liquor store next door are all busy. The dining room is open to the kitchen and was nice to see that it was kept clean. There is also outdoor seating on the small patio in front but we dined inside due to the heat. The waitress, Diana, was super friendly and made us some great cadillac margaritas but she was the only one front of the house and was very busy with tables, to go orders, and manning the bar at 4:30 on a Friday afternoon. So it took a long time to get our ticket once we were done. The free chips and fresh pico de gallo were good and the food came out fairly quick but wasn't what we were hoping for in this family-owned authentic Mexican restaurant: -Super Taco - Steak: 3/3. -Super Taco - Chicken: 3/3. These are the specialty and they are HUGE....it's the size of a quesadilla so we cut it in half to eat it. But in both cases, the meat didn't taste seasoned AT ALL much less in any kind of marinade. The crema over the lettuce and tomatos inside was also not flavorful. So to have any flavor at all we had to ask for more salsa and even that wasn't enough taste/spice to make me order it again. -Rice and Beans: 3/3. Had to add salsa to the rice as well and saw staff putting cold beans and rice in the microwave to warm them up which also isn't ideal. We are trying hard to find a great Mexican restaurant to be our go-to but sadly this isn't it. Doubt if we will go back. read more

Came in for Sunday brunch, excited to try this location since it was recommended by friends. I originally had something specific in mind, but the photos on the table made the caldo de res look so appealing that I decided to order it instead. My husband had the Bistek Ranchero which he enjoyed. The steak was tender and simmered in a tomato based sauce with fajita vegetables. He said it was flavorful and he would order again. He just wished it had more meat. The rice and beans with cheese were also good. Unfortunately, the soup had absolutely no flavor. The vegetables, including the zucchini and cabbage, were undercooked (as shown in the photos), which was really disappointing. I was genuinely looking forward to this dish, so it missed the mark for me. On a positive note, the bar area was nice, and the Negra Modelo was perfectly cold and refreshing. The staff were efficient and friendly. While the drinks were great, the food experience didn't live up to my expectations. read more

Craving tacos this morning. Hadn't had this place in years and didn't have a problem with it then, so I thought I could just settle and cop my fix from here. Got 3 Asada street tacos with a side of beans and rice meal for a total of $20. To keep it simple the beans are rice were good when scooped together so that's the reason for 2 stars but the asada was damn near beef jerky. It had to have been cooked days ago and sat in a fridge. No additional sauces either (took it togo) which is usually a given with all mexican, so with the lack-of it made it more dry. Will not be "settling" again to get my fix read more

This past weekend I popped in for lunch. I've driven by this nondescript location, on Grantline Road, tons of time and always wanted to try it. Well my experience was fantastic. The food was delicious, service was top notch, the dining area was clean, and the atmosphere was relaxed and inviting. Hubs ordered the 2 crispy taco plate $16.50. He chose ground beef for one taco and the other was shredded beef. I swiped a few bites, the meats were seasoned well. The shredded beef was fork tender. Mmm. Not chinzy on the meat fillings. The plate came with refried beans and Spanish rice. I ordered the cerviche tostada $7.95. It tasted fresh and was super flavorful. The accompanying green salsa was zingy and delish. Plus the tostada shell held up well, the toppings weren't soggy wet to soften the tostada. They serve complimentary chips n salsa. They even ask if we wanted refills, no extra charge. Nice. The salsa was darn tasty, with a nice thickness. The dining room is compact. There were tables and booths, and a bar counter with a TV. When I was there, I observed a few gents drinking beers and watching TV, and folks dining. The place had a chill, calm neighborhood family vibe feel. read more

This place has wonderful food! We stopped in when our original plans fell through and it turned out to be a lovely stroke of luck. I cannot eat cilantro which makes me leery of Mexican food because I feel some rely on it for flavor. Super Taco does not! Our table ordered flautas, and tacos and, enchiladas, ending with their AMAZING flan. Everything was yummy, we all switched plates and shared dessert. We will return soon and often read more

We love going to Super Taco, their tortillas and beans are some of our favorites. This time around the beans were quite the same consistency as normal which was disappointing. The location also changed its setup since we last visited inside , which granted that was awhile ago,where it's more of a sit down restaurant versus order at the counter and sit down. We have loved Super Taco for years. Recently, the last few visits the service has been horrid. Long wait times for no reason, terrible waitress service while they were busy talking with no attempt to worry about customers, left us not coming back. We randomly decided to try again and was blessed with a breathe of fresh air... Ashley! Ashley is a pro at her job!! Waitress or bartender, Ashley was delightful, attentive, fast, customer-focused and not once did I have to flag her down for a thing!! Bless you Ashely for reviving our hope in Super Taco. Been coming to Super Taco restaurants for probably 10 years now and it's always hands down a great experience. This is by far my favorite location of the others in Wilton. I've been to in Sacramento & Elk Grove. It's very relaxing and a great drive here, there's indoor and outdoor patio sitting. The bar looks welcoming. The food at all the locations is very flavorful and always consistent. The salsa is my favorite with a hint of spice can't stop eating it lol. I've had the fajitas several years ago, soo good. My current favorite is the super Taco with carnitas. It's the perfect amount of food to fill you up and very savory, sometimes I order 2, other times I order the combination plates to enjoy the rice and beans and very delicious salad with dressing. Please come and support this restaurant, you won't be let down. And the employees are amazing with world class customer service with a welcoming smile. Very bad experience here! We had completed our food and drink order, and as our drinks were brought over our waitress mistakenly spilled an entire glass of lemonade on my cousin, age 14. As I have been a waitress for years and completely understand mistakes happen, the expectation is good customer service in response. Instead of good customer service however, the waitress only comped the drink. When I expressed concern in the way this was being handled, the waitress then provided a mere 20% off of the whole meal. I was not going to take this any further in front of my young family, but am very displeased with how this was handled and will never return to this establishment. I came into super taco on a Monday evening craving tacos. I was greeted by Yessenia one of there servers who had a smile on her face and seemed happy to be there. It was very pleasing seeing all the staff working hard and giving a great experience. I went with their quesabirra which was absolutely delicious and was actually recommended by Yessenia. Huge shoutout for the excellent service and delicious food. It was 10 minutes till close and the gentlemen at the bar greatfully took my order of two pastor tacos and flautas. Authentic tacos, burritos, and delicious roast meats makes this place a can't miss visit every time. Rice and beans just like your friend's abuela... what can I say? My family has loved all the Super Tacos, and I'm pretty sure we've been to every single one! We came here for dinner because we had to meet someone and we are so glad they chose to meet here! This place is a small spot in the corner of the building. It has a bar to the left and then general seating on the right. The cook is in the back but you can watch them cook your food as he's separated from the dining by glass. The waitress was super sweet and answered all our questions. My husband had their popular dish which was the #12 super taco, my daughter had the super ground beef quesadilla and I had their super taco salad. Man we were not disappointed! My husband loved that the tacos were made in Parmesan cheese on the shell and he's not one to like refried beans or Spanish rice but he loved those. My daughter liked the size of the quesadilla and said the ground beef was good but wants to try the chicken next time as she is not a fan of ground beef too much but we didn't know they could make it with chicken. My taco salad was the best I have ever had, the shell was super light and airy, I loved how much lettuce it came with and the chunks of tomato on it just added to that freshness. We also loved that their guacamole didn't have too much onions in it (actually if there were onions in it we couldn't taste it).
