I saw some people on a local forum suggest this place for Mexican food in town so I thought I'd try them out. I'm always passing by on my bike but never actually tried them until today. I was expecting a taqueria style place with a good salsa bar but was slightly disappointed when I saw it was a table service place. The service and food weren't bad by all means as I enjoyed the chicken fajitas and the salsa that comes with their tortilla chips. However, the pricing was something I wasn't fond of. At other places, they offer free unlimited chips and salsa, as well as lunch specials every day. But at this place, you only get 1 free basket of chips and salsa. Refills cost $1.50 each. My friend's super burrito was nearly $18 and didn't come close to the size of super burritos at places like Vallarta, which charges a few dollars less and has an awesome chips and salsa bar. I might consider trying them again on a weekday for lunch if I'm ever free but I'm not in a rush to come back. There are just so many other options out there that offer a better value and bigger portions. read more

This has been one of my favorite Mexican food places for years. The icing on the cake was that we Went here for Mother's Day and they were so accommodating for the 40 of us that showed up. (With prior warning) Our drinks were always refilled and the food is delicious. I had the carnita quesadilla and it was covered in cheese. It is my favorite !!!! This restaurant is kept very clean and well maintained, has a great outside patio, and really caters to family. They also have a great wine and beer menu. Every time I have come I've had the same server. He has always been very friendly and attentive. The food here is of a much higher quality than other places I've tried. The Burritos, Juevos Rancheros, chips and salsa are really good. Everything I've tried has been really good. The sauces are not too salty nor hot. The rice and beans taste good but a little different than other restaurants. The in house made Jamaica is what they're known for. I like this restaurant and HIGHLY RECOMMEND it! read more

Came here after I saw a movie with my brothers. Service was great, we were seated quickly and were able to place an order within 5 minutes of getting to the restaurant. We ordered the birria tacos and they were so good! I loved how the consome was ever so slightly spicy, it gave a nice kick to the tacos. My only complaint was I wish we knew we had to pay at the counter, we thought we had to wait our bill to come for our waiter. We only realized we had to pay at the counter when we saw another person get up and pay there. Overall our experience here was and we would definetly eat here again next time we're in the area, especially if we're craving some tacos! read more

Went here for a bday party in a large group. Service was very friendly and attentive. However, sad to say I was dissapointed by the food. Ordered the fish tacos and they used what looked like a Gorton's frozen fish fillet like you get from the grocery store. For $19? The server readily admitted it was pre-frozen and battered so offered me the shrimp tacos instead. I accepted, but the shrimp they used were so small, it was just ok. I just so happen to pull up on this place as I left my pedicure appointment and I am so glad I did!! We went here for dinner on a Saturday evening. Our waiter was super nice and welcoming. The place was clean and they had good Hispanic music on. This was our first time in a Mexican restaurant where they sat us and took our orders. We ordered carne asada fries, asada rice plate, and Birria tacos. Pros: Really nice wait staff. The asada had so much flavor, it was really good. I have not had an asada that flavorful. The grilled onions that came on top on the asada plate were also seasoned perfectly. The birria was also really good. The broth was very heavy but in a good way and full of flavor. The guacamole that same with the fries were real guacamole and not watered down like most Mexican taqueria. Cons: This place is pricier than your typical Mexican restaurant. The portion is small for the price. The rice and beans had no flavor and were really bland. The rice portion is about 1/4-1/3 cup which is pretty small. If it we didn't order the asada fries, I'm not sure that we would have gotten full off our plate. read more

They give you chips and salsa when you dine in - the salsa is delicious. I ordered the birria tacos (plate came with 3) and was really impressed! The meat was soft and I love that the consume was not too salty. I also ordered the shrimp and steak fajitas. It was delicious too. The steak was soft and the shrimp was great. We started with the guacamole, which was a bit of a letdown--it didn't taste fresh and lacked that creamy, zesty flavor you hope for. I ordered the wet burrito, and while it looked generous, it was mostly packed with rice and beans and pretty light on the meat. On the upside, the enchiladas with shredded beef were actually quite tasty--super saucy and flavorful. Service was friendly. For the price, though, I expected more consistency and freshness across the board. I cannot help but compare it to the food we enjoyed before the original family sold the business. I find it incredible that whoever bought it is still in business. Early in the night one can't get a server nor a check upon completion. Later in the evening, like within 30 minutes of closing you get every employee at your table trying to get you to order and one time we even got our check before we got our meals.
