Super Taco on Calvine Road - Since the Mack Road location closed, we have started frequenting the Super Taco on Calvine Road. I was glad to see some familiar faces from the Mack Road location here. It is always nice walking into another location and seeing some of the same people who made the other location feel like our go to spot. On our recent visit, Clara was our server and she was great. She was friendly, prompt, and made sure we had everything we needed throughout our meal. Great customer service always makes a good meal that much better. The food continues to be great, and having some familiar faces along with friendly service from Clara made us feel right at home. It looks like we found our new Super Taco location! read more

I eat A LOT of Mexican food. Restaurants out and homemade from recipes. This place is *chef's kiss* The food is fantastic. Absolutely astounding prices for the quality of food that keeps me and my family coming back. Everything is always amazing - including the cocktails. They have bartenders who know what they're doing and make entertainment and presentation important. My margs were all hand-shaken and perfectly balanced. I always HOUSE the salsa they give with chips, it's my favorite. And I usually get the taco salad, no meat. My 4 year old son loves the quesadillas and "orange rice", and my hubby loves the tacos or super taco! The staff are always friendly and they take care of you. We're so grateful this place is so close to home! We love it here. They stole us away from our regular spot and post 10K celebration meal. So good! read more

Hmm.. I'm sad to say that their carne asada tacos were really dry :/ The meat was a little overcooked this time perhaps? I had to drown the tacos in lime juice and with their salsas to swallow *but* honestly, kudos to their salsa!! The red and green were really classic and had great flavor. The complimentary chips weren't the best but they were just fine as a vehicle for the salsa. Ambiance is casual & service is quick/efficient. Times have definitely changed when I first started going here. It was pretty decent. Never was anything extraordinary but now these days it is disgusting I came in for lunch to grab some tacos. My tacos had big chunks so old hard dry steak. My tortillas were mushy and soggy I couldn't even barely eat it and let's not mention they have the most disgusting mushy ground beef tacos ever Jack-in-the-Box tacos are better! Super Taco is always awesome at every location, but today was fantastic at the ElkGrove-Florin restaurant. Shrimp super taco was next level and the breakfast burrito at 1pm hit just right. But the cherry on top was the service we got from Lizeth. She was patient and helpful, and so pleasant to help us get the best experience. She looked she was running the place by herself, but she handled it like a pro. Our go to! Another great experience! My recommendation: get the quesabirra (3) with everything, EXTRA crunchy and add the pickled onions/habanero (if you like spicy). I can literally eat this weekly for the rest of my life. My 10 year old even likes it but plan (no onion/cilantro). My kids also enjoy getting their own soda...they will absolutely serve you... but they request to fill their own cups and they always allow it! (They like to mix sodas ). We came to Supper Taco for dinner without any previous plans or research about the place, so we had no idea what we were going to get. Once we entered, the first thing that struck me positively was the size and appearance of the dining area. On the right side, there is a bar where one can eat, drink, and watch sports, and on the other side is a quieter dining area; all areas are connected and nicely set up and decorated. We were greeted at the door and led to our table. Our server was a wonderful young woman who greeted us with a smiling face and answered a couple of questions we had. We started with guacamole, which was freshly made, and three Agua de Jamaica or hibiscus teas. For the main dish, I ordered a Ceviche Tostada, which was chopped shrimp, pico de gallo, diced cucumber, and lime juice all tossed together on a tostada, and topped with avocado. It was delicious. My companions each ordered a Beef Soup or Caldo de Res, which is a traditional beef stew served with fresh vegetables, a side of fresh Mexican rice, savory Chile-Limon, and diced jalapeños. It came in a big bowl, and there was so much in it that they had to take half home for the next day. They were both satisfied with their choice. While I usually order the same thing, I've had several items on the menu. They're simple, no-frills, very well made foods that are just simply comforting while also being very tasty! This is one of my favorite places to eat when I'm in a mood for Mexican. The restaurant itself is relatively simple while being a comfortable place to sit and eat either alone or with a group. It reminds me of some of the restaurants in Mexico that I've been to and that's not a bad thing! This is close to home and it is one that I would go to for Mexican food. I've had different kinds of other kinds of food in the past and it is very good. Today, I ordered Taco salad with ground beef. I will NEVER order ground anything again. When I got home and started eating it, I found the bottom was drenched almost looking like soup! Very disappointed. I gave this review 4 stars because I have had great Taco salad in the past with grilled steak/chicken or fish. I do not recommend Taco salad with ground beef. read more

Sometimes you just want to go to sit in a Mexican restaurant with good chips and salsa and this place just does that for me. I love their chips and salsa. When they bring you the habanero with onions, it makes it more of a treat for me. The ambiance is nice and perfect for watching sports games. They have a full bar, and the service is spectacular.
