Skates suck. The bearings are too tight it's impossible to turn and skate in them. The floor has no markings and there is no control of the inner lane for slower skaters and outer lane for fast skaters. Extremely pricey ($20) for terrible experience. read more

I would normally come on a Monday night but tonight i wanted to come test out my new wheels and bearings. The DJ Sucked horribly!!!! The variety of music did not fit the crowd. It was like i was at a cheap back yard rap party. As a restaurant General Manager, what i paid in food, drink and entrance. Don't know what has happened with this place. Came today to celebrate my niece's 11th birthday and the service was horrible!! The food (pizza ) cold, we had to go to the concession stand to get the pitchers of soda, water plates etc.. For what they were charging my sister not acceptable! And then when she went to complain (let's not even go there) for what they took off the total was going to equal the exactly the same if nothing was taken off after you added the tip. Talk about a blast into the past! This place has literally not changed one bit. You have to pay just to enter the building and if you plan on skating it's an extra cost for the skates unless you bring your own, which I would suggest doing. The skates are super old and torn up. The inline skates don't skate smoothly. If you know how to quad skate, you're better off with those. The floor of the actual skating rink isn't in the best conditions in some places. The wood looks almost as if it got wet in some spots. The could definitely use some renovations. read more

So I have a theory that the good reviews are actually people that work or have a relationship with the business in some way. After I posted my review I noticed the stellar 5 star reviews saying I go here 4times a week. Yes to go work there. Who can afford to go 4times a week after school started and gas prices so high. Also noticed these high reviews didn't have any other places they review. To say this place is 5 stars means the place and service is flawless. Several reviews of several years dispute that .Unless by a stroke of magic this placed had a several month makeover worth in Miami about $300,000 overnight . Which I seriously doubt. The point of reviews is to allow people to make an educated decision on where to spend money . The feed back also allows Managmemt to make changes that will Draw more customers. The place is extremely disorganized the attitude from all involved is horrible DONT HAVE YOUR SPECIAL EVENT AT THIS PLACE!!!! We called in originally to schedule the party of my daughter and half of what I was told was inaccurate! 1.We were told not to worry about balloons cause the area will have them and they didn't!! 2.We were told cotton candy per child and they said they changed the policy to one bag per table. 3. No soft drinks for our party included which we were told it would be. 4. We were told we should be at the facility 30 minutes before and then once arrives they said no it's 15 mins before which turned into going to setup 8 minutes before. I just left this place because the daddy's boy who called himself the owner threatened my husband twice about kicking him out of the building because he was helping our 8 yr old who was scared to get back on the rink and he was trying to calm her down. So we instead of the manager being understanding (who then called himself the owner) told him he had to leave from that area and didn't allow my husband to even explain what was happening and that if he didn't do it right away (try getting your terrified 8 yr old to get back on the rink) he would kick him out. Nothing has been updated. Everything is old and smelly and probably broken. It's $10 for admission plus $3 for in-line skate rental or $2 for quads. I came for Monday's "Adult Night" which is from 8:30pm-12. They told me it was 90's night, but thats a lie. They won't play anything but electro-gayness the entire night. The Dj won't make any birthday announcements, or any kind of announcement during your skate session because it "distracts the skaters." Also, the "regulars" here are very rude. If you don't get out of there way they make sure to let you know that you are not liked nor welcomed here. Overall a fun place to go with friends or family. It's definitely a place mainly for families with young children. The prices are very reasonable- about $13 each for admission & skates. And the food is very cheap too- about $3.50 for a slice of pizza or $5 for chicken tenders and fries. The beer is mostly domestics except Stella and are around $6/$7. They also have wine. You have to sign a form in order to drink though. My biggest complaints would be that their skates are pretty hard to skate in; my boyfriend who played hockey for years couldn't even skate well and they apparently don't have inline skates above a size 4. Also, we went on a Sunday night and it was pretty crowded. And they close early at 8 pm on Sundays. And the safety patrol guy was kind of rude to my group. I guess he has to keep everyone safe, but he could've been nicer about it. Overall, it's mainly a place for kids, cause even if you can skate in the skates, you'll be dodging little kids falling the whole time on the rink. read more

WOW - STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE What an incredibly terrible management! I actually had the supreme displeasure of speaking directly with the owner when I was trying to purchase a gift certificate. He was the single rudest business owner I have ever interacted with. And I'm a lawyer, so my tolerance for rude people is pretty high. The first line in my complaint email was actually "rather than vent my frustrations on Yelp, I thought I would bring them to you directly," but his response was so much worse than our conversation that I had to share my experience. How this place is not condemned by the County is beyond me - place is nasty... Just filthy! Hasn't been renovated since it was first Hot Wheels in the 90s. Carpet is tearing off the walls on the rink (yes, glue, staples, anything can fix it, but yet they don't), ceilings are as nasty as you will find in any abandoned building. Thank goodness for keeping the lights off when skating cause when they turn them on, the funk is evident. Oh, don't get me started with the skates for men. They don't have the potato skins anymore - except for women sizes. Men get these cheap plastic low rise skates that stray in different directions when skating and not to mention how bad they rub. Omg we LOVE this place and the staff is AMAZING!! I had come for a party about two weeks ago and we fell in love and not to mention super cheap and it's something the entire family can enjoy. This place is fun to take it back and go skating. From 8:30-Midnight you can skate and rent skates for $13. The music is that cheesy electro 90's stuff which is fun for a minute but grows old after an hour. Its fun to go in groups but there is for sure a group of people here who take skating way serious and get obnoxious. I had a fun night for sure regardless of the jerks. The food staff moves very slowly and seem unconcerned about the long lines. Often the food is overcooked. The skating floor staff often are skating around nonchalantly ignoring what is going on around them. When I was there a huge puddle accumulated on the floor from The staff ignored it. Not know it was there I slid through. I alerted one of the staff, he ignored me. I had to find cones on my own to place around the puddle so that kids would not get hurt. Not until I put up the cones did the staff finally try to clean up the water. On multiple occasions I have received poor service from the Superwheels staff. read more

Wooooo!!! I have not skated in years. On top of that I really have no balance to be on top of 8 wheels. Took the teenagers to party at this joint and they went dressed in 80's attire. They had a blast and so did my girl and I. We did the Saturday night open skate 8:30 pm. The place is good. It is a bit far but worth it. Not that there is anything closer. It is your tipycal skating place. It does have wood floors, good music and the skates were in pretty good shape. The service can be better, but it is typical Miami service. What can I say about this spot...the fact I spent most of my teen years here with my friends is what will make it special for me. My best friend decided to have a party for her 32nd bday which included her adult friends and kids. We had a blast!! The look on my son skating and experiencing the same thing, I once did as a kid is surreal. He won lots of prizes such as admission tickets for future visits, which is great because we will come back. I love how now under the name super wheels they've changed the way they operate. So I went for the first time to super wheels on a Monday for adults night , to my surprise I was having a great time. I've never skated before, but was having so much fun learning. Unfortunately an hour into the night, the attendant on the floor made us, "the less experienced skater" get into a middle area that was tiny , and crowded with lots of "bad skaters". I was unaware that it was professionals night, if I would've known I probably wouldn't have gone. People were all having fun, "professional" and " amateur" but the attendant made it impossible to skate at ease as he was too busy segregating the skaters. Last I checked everyone paid the same entrance, so we shouldn't have been made to feel less than. Probably won't go back just because how stupid I was made to feel by the attendant working the floor on Monday 6/22/2021. read more

4 stars because Yay! I'm a fan. We went this past weekend for my husbands 29th birthday. Yes, he's like a kid and wanted a family night out with everyone. I ordered a party package just as if it was for a child. A week prior, I called to organize all the arrangements and voice my concerns on all the negative reviews I've read on Yelp. A girl named Lexy was super nice, knowledgeable and clarified/ answered all my questions. Mary, my on the day hostess called me the day before to discuss the party timeline, guest list, food order and any other concern/ question I had. That day everything ran smoothly according to the plan Mary and I had arranged. Party guest wanted the A-line skates which Mary was there to assist them with. She was attentive the whole duration of the party by coming around often to see if we needed anything and to pick up from our tables. She was great! As a business aspect, this place can improve a bit. It was actually really funny how bad the food was. I gave 5 kids hotdogs and 4 of them said there was somehting wrong with the hotdog. They waited for pizza which wasn't good either but whatever it was pizza. Someone ordered chicken wings and they were good so not alllll bad food. The skates themselves can improve a bit. Most of the guest had to go back to change their skate because it was broke but no one complained so that was good. Overall, it is what it is. All I can say about this place is that my memories from childhood of visiting definitely held up! Upon entering you're hit with an incredible stench of dirty carpet and feet, which must be why the staff seems so miserable to be working there. While waiting in line to get in, I overheard some teens in front of me having some raunchy and foul conversations with the staff almost as if that was normal between them. That group of teens was one of many that were waiting inside to make the whole visit miserable. The price of admission was pretty high, and you'd think that included the skate rentals but you'd be wrong! Each type of skate rental (four wheels or inline) was an extra charge, and god forbid you chose a style that did not suit you, because they will flat out tell you to go pay again the full rental fee for the other style! You'd think it would be cheaper since you already paid for one style, but again, you'd be wrong! Like I said, the facility itself is in pretty bad shape. I wish I would've taken a picture of the side of the building where the giant 'Super Wheels' letter sign was, but now all that remains is a vague shadow of it, so the giant building looks like it does note even house the skating rink. The rink itself is pretty small which doesn't give you a lot of straight linear space to skate before having to turn again. What's nice though is they have a mini rink in the center for those who are still trying to get the hang of skating. Their arcade was in decent-ish shape, although some machines were out of service. Food and drinks are also grossly over priced for what quality you're getting. The music inside the rink is also incredibly loud to the point where it will hurt your ears if you're in there for too long. Their "DJs" if you can even call them that since he spent his entire time on his phone while his laptop auto-played the music, seems to be stuck in the last decade as all the songs were pretty old, and all remixes of each other so none of their original quality is preserved. Cons: - Old, outdated facility that smells - Miserable looking staff - High prices, and up-charging for different type of skate rental even though you already paid for one - Low quality food and drinks at high prices - A lot of rude and rowdy teenagers as clientele - Small rink - Very loud, outdated music - Outdated arcade - Safety guard is super strict about everything. Welp, it's a skating rink. Nothing special about it. A group of us, mainly adults aged between 25-45, went for an informal birthday gathering on a Saturday night. The guest of honor suggested we get there before 8 pm so we could be the first in. I am glad she suggested to do that. Because as it got closer to 8 pm, the line to get in became longer and longer and the crowd younger and younger, understandably. The doors were opened promptly at 8 and we entered to stop at the pay window. There is an entrance fee and an additional fee if inline skates are desired. I stuck to the old school four wheelers. The skates looked like the same ones that were typical the last time I went skating--1990s--ain't nothing changed people! The skate pickup area is also the location of the arcade. If you get bored skating, there are plenty of games to keep you entertained. There is a concession stand as well--with beer and wine for adults! A bottle of water is $3...ouch! But we paid it. Back to the skating, the rink is wood with a sectioned off area in the middle. There may be some imperfections in the floor but nothing to hinder a good skate. The evening seemed to be enjoyed by young and old alike. There were people learning how to skate and those that would be a good asset to a local roller derby team with their speed and skill. It was a little confusing where each were supposed to skate---experts on the outside? Newbies in the inside? Who knows in the middle? We ended up staying until close. Also, something that seems familiar from 1990s, ending the night on a slow jam! All of a sudden I am transported back to middle school! Hahaha. The skates are picked up by a worker with a big bin at the very end of the night--very convenient! Overall, I would definitely go again. I love Super Wheels. Not only because it's considered a local staple but also because my kids and friends' kids love it here AND my home grown Miamian friends who grew up with Super Wheels being a huge part of their lives. So it's been around forever. Hence the reason for the unfortunate 3 stars because I'm pretty sure they have the funds to do some must needed renovations. I get it that you want to keep its 'authenticity' but that shouldn't mean that it has to have that weird smell as well as suspicious looking bathrooms. I would be extremely disappointed and would even stand in front of the crane in protest if this place where to ever close its doors but I find it hard to believe that they're financially suffering cause it's pretty busy Everytime I'm there for a kids party. But if they are short on funds there are fundraisers you can do to bring this landmark back from the dead. I mean I drive all the way from North Miami to come here and have a good time. This place in the 90's was a great hang out spot, stopped by today with my girlfriend and family and we where all horrified at the condition inside and how everything looked old and destroyed. The Wood floors are wavy, it's hot in there and everything smells like sweat. The rental skates where horrible the smell almost made us puke we all had switch roller skates several times and never got a good set. We scheduled a Girl Scout Party for our Troop at Super Wheels since many of the girls love to skate. We ordered the additional food days in advance. The order came out wrong. Then when I inform our hostess Yvette, she threw her hands in the air and rolled her eyes and said "I'll see what I can do" with an attitude. As the party progressed her customer service was horrible and rude. Our girls were skating almost the entire time we were there so they were thirsty. I asked the hostess Yvette to bring out additional drinks and she replied with "this is all they get" and of course the eye rolls and attitude came with it. I explained to her that we had no problem paying extra. She then stated that she had other parties to take care of and that we should have though of this before and walked away. We never received additional drinks. And she continued to pressure us about handing the cupcakes out. I told her we were going to give them out as the girls left. We wanted them to get as much skating time. She then continued to remind us that we get "kicked out" at 7pm and that she wouldn't be able to help us. We spoke to 2 managers and they were apologetic and gave us complimentary tickets for our girls to return. The food line is super long and takes forever. I guess if you want to travel back in time..going here will definitely do the trick. The place is absolutely disgusting. They literally have not renovated or even cleaned it for that matter since it opened in the 90's. Chairs, tables, the rink, and even the skates are old and worn. Came in for adult night. Upon putting on the skates, there was a terrible smell coming from them. They don't even sanitize or spray SOMETHING in the skates! That's just plain gross and unsanitary. Didn't even bother to eat because the kitchen looked gross. Wouldn't have wanted food poisoning. If the county goes in there, they would probably shut it down for a number of violations. I don't even know how that building is up to code. No exits and poor lighting! Only reason they get another star is because the music was OK and the actual skating was fun.
