This was one of the worst experiences in my life. I went in and asked for her to cut a blunt bob. She didn't do any extra work to blend things. She basically cut all around my hair like I had a bowl on my head or something. Also it was way too short and I asked her to stop and what would she recommend? She got really pissy and I said "you're the stylist? I'm asking you what you think would look good" she said "I don't know" getting more angry. I said "well can you style it real quick!" She said "no I don't have time." Also the next person was a walk in. I had an appointment and spent all of 10 mins cutting it. Mind you when she started to cut she sprayed half of it and left the other half dry I have VERY wavy hair... so you can imagine how bad it looked. I cried.. my friend tried to purchase some products and the lady she asked rolled her eyes at my friend and then proceeded to say that she didn't know how to ring up the discounts... it was AWFUL! Went to Fantastic Scam's on Calle Real and was quoted $68 (sixty-eight) for just a shampoo. No cut, no blow dry, etc. Ended up driving straight to SUPER CUTS and was quoted $7. The younger lady took me right in and did a good job washing my hair. She was even surprised at the high quote I received at that other place. Would definitely go back to Super Cuts for a wash. read more

I went to Supercuts as a last resort after having two really bad haircuts. Not knowing what to expect but desperate had a stylist named Maria D. SHE hesitantly stated she would only cut the very smallest amount off since obviously there wasn't much left to cut. She was amazing. My hair as short as it was now had bounce & style again. They butchered my hair! I'm pretty sure the lady who cut my hair work at a meat parlor before supercuts. I've never had to complain about a hair cut, let alone go home and realize it was as bad as a farmer shearing his first sheep. All she had to do was use a #8 on my head, just shave my head, but she managed to make it more uneven than I thought even possible. She cut the middle of my head much shorter than the sides of the top... So I had this ace ventura/devil/parting of the red Sea look when I got back home. I will never return. read more

Big fan of supercuts - cheap simple haircuts when I want a trim for my really thick hair. The wait here is longer than at a typical supercuts, I recommend calling 30-40 mins before you go to make an appointment. However, the hairdressers and staff are very friendly and the hairdresser I had (Christina) spent extra time making sure my haircut looked good. read more

This was my first time at any Supercuts so I didn't know what to expect. But I was pleasantly surprised by friendly and great service! I called ahead but arrived at the wrong location xP. Luckily, the wait was only 30 minutes for a haircut. My stylist Emma was so sweet and reassuring about how much of my hair she was going to cut before she did anything. She even informed me about their deep conditioner service and product they provide if you prefer to do it at home. I was out of there in under 30 minutes and the service was reasonably priced at $18.50 for a haircut. Note * There are two Supercuts on Hollister Ave. This one is by Ralph's and there's another one by Smart and Final. 4 stars because I couldn't catch any cell bars here and there was no wifi :( read more

Haven't been to a Supercuts since I was a kid, and frankly didn't have a very high opinion of the brand. However I have never actually found a barber in town that would cut my hair reliably so I've been bouncing around not super happy about any of them. Was in a pinch and went to Supercuts not expecting much. A woman named Beverley (or maybe Barbara?) cut my hair and she did a pretty great job. She understood what I wanted and delivered the results I needed. The place was clean and the whole experience was pretty hassle free. I think I will actually keep going back. read more

After reading earlier reviews, I was a little apprehensive to go here, but wanted to give it a try as other salons around were closed. I called in earlier and got an appointment within 30mins. Once I reached there, I waited couple of minutes and Carmen helped me with the hair cut. She asked me what style I want and how short and I said, I am not comfortable with the numbers for length and said that I wanted short behind and long in the front. Carmen started with a 7 and paused and asked if the length was fine for the hair behind and later used scissors to gradually trim it to my satisfaction. When I came back home my 5 year old complemented me and that is the best testimony of how my hair style looked. I am happy and will visit again. read more

Being new to the area and not having established a place to get my hair cut, I read the reviews of Supercuts and specifically the recommendations for Christina. What a mistake! I called way ahead of time and made an appointment for Christina at 1pm. The receptionist was friendly an said she already had a customer at 1pm but come in just after 1 and wait for her; she'll be about 20 minutes. So I got there at 1:15 and she had a young boy in her chair and was chatting with his mom in Spanish. 2 O'clock rolled around and she still hadn't cut this kid's hair and was doing nothing but chatting with his mom. I inquired with the receptionist and she said that they were almost done, but I was sitting right next to her and she hadn't done a thing. The place was not kept that clean, the carpets were in bad need of vacuuming and the floors hadn't been swept in the last few customers. Christina didn't even acknowledge my presence with even a glance...she just wanted to talk and get paid for it. So I walked out. I would not recommend this place at all. Save your money and keep looking for a different place. That's what I'm going to do. read more

The trick/secret to this Supercuts location is to call ahead and make sure Irma is going to be working. Truth be told, she's the best one there, all around. Cuts, color, wax, trims, fades, she really is great, and super friendly. A friend recomended her to me, and now she does mine, my husband, and my kids hair and waxes my eyebrows. She does not let you down. She also works at the Cosmetology Academy in the same shopping center, so you have to make sure she is at Supercuts before you go. read more

Brittany Jones is the best. I'd follow her anywhere. This is not about the price. Too bad the corporate owners of this store, and possibly the manager could care less of how the place looks. The floors always look filthy and I feel sorry for the gals who have to stand on that floor all day. The wash basin area has rust and corrosion, and it always looks filthy with wall paper hanging off the walls. The slight slope in the floor has both a buckle and is uneven, just waiting for an accident. And don't think about using the rest room. This is by far the worst super cuts ever period. Do not waste your TIME or money. The employees are extremely incompetent and management if not owner hides in the back every two minutes. My haircut lasted 5 min, nothing like I referred in a picture, sides were uneven, and was not at all clean, and also no "hot towel finish". My haircut was so bad that my girlfriend felt bad and helped me clean it up. Do yourself a huge favor and do not bother getting serviced at this location. I chose this place because my barber was closed for fiesta, and saw the reviews and thought I would give it a chance. I suspect the reviews are fake. I had to ask how much longer it would take and was told another 30 minutes without an apology but with an attitude. I left the place with my daughters and had to find another salon. They are good at giving you a good haircut for a reasonable price. However, the service is not so great. They are often understaffed, and do not seem to want all the customers they have. Which is really too bad, because it is hard to find haircutters that give you the same value. read more
