So normally the stylists here are decent, but today I found out first hand that Patty is absolutely awful. I asked for a fade down to a half guard, inch off the top, and fine part. She spent about 5 minutes buzzing my hair, then had to have another stylist do the hard part because "she didn't do them". Her attitude was terrible, and it didn't even seem like she was trying to do a good job. There was absolutely no fade, and I was left with the equivalent of a weird, uneven layers on the side. I even had to specifically ask her to clean up the hairs on my neck, and she just took clippers and scrapped up my skin. Stay far, far away from Patty. I told my stylist, Patty (older lady, long white hair), exactly what I had wanted. She didn't ask any questions as to the length or look of my hair that I wanted, so I had assumed she understood. But now I'm left with this chunky layering and hair that doesn't blend at all. I hate the way my hair looks and now I have to go to another place to fix the mistakes she made. There was also zero customer service, didn't talk to me until checkout but talked to other stylists & customers. She also never gave me a mirror to see the back of my hair at the end. Shocked I was charged $68 for a haircut (no shampoo) and blow dry/style. My hair is medium long. Blow dry with round brush took all of 10 minutes. Didn't show me the back of my hair or ask if I was good with the cut. Just an ok we're done. After washing and blow drying at home, the front layers are uneven, one side much longer than the other. I came in as a walk in and there were two people ahead of me (one finishing up) Raylene was able to have all three of us leave very happy. She was the only stylist working at the time and she managed to check people in and hold conversations with whomever was in the chair. We came here wanting to get a couple haircuts: a. Trim 5 inches and keep layers of my teenager's long hair b. Trim to shoulders straight for my little girl c. Trim a little off the top and fade for my boyfriend I was really positive about the visit in the beginning. It was 5pm, we were able to go on the Supercuts website and check in at home. It was nice because we were able to see how long the wait was before leaving home. The site said it was a 15 minute wait time. We got there at 5:30 pm in time for our check in appointment. There was only 1 other person waiting, and there were 3 stylists. After 15 minutes my daughters both were called. My little girl's cut was easy and it turned out nice. It was just a trim, can't get that wrong. My poor teenager did not have the same fate. Her haircut took longer. Watching the hairstylist part her long hair and raising it above the stylist's head to trim was not a good sign. She trimmed it and it was a little chunky and crooked on a couple of spots. When she finally finished, it looked the same as it was and was not layered at all. It made me think that she was straight out of Supercuts beauty school. She only could do a straight cut. That was just the start. My boyfriend finally got called for his haircut. He usually asks for a little trim off the top and a 0A guard fade trim. All the stylist had to do was follow how it was and just trim a little. It should have been a 15 minute cut. He was on that chair almost an hour. I turned to see the progress and was mortified to see she shaved it too high, there was a patch of hair where his mole is and it was by far not a fade but a stubby bowl looking cut at the TOP of his head. The villian from 5th element looked better. She left him and got the assistance of the stylist that messed up my teenage daughter's hair. I thought two things. 1. NOOOOOOOOOOO!!! Not her!!!!! They both don't know how to cut!! 2. Bwa hahahahaha!!! He looks like the bad guy in 5th Element!! T_____T I know. I SHOULDN'T make fun. It isn't funny. My daughters turned around to see why I looked mortified. It's really bad when they asked "what happened?!" Out loud. BUT the highlight was my eldest daughter saying "maybe he should just shave everything off" After another 20 minutes, they got it to look decent ... in the front. (I still giggle a little when he turns his back on me) Darn it Supercuts! Why did you have to give him a funny haircut that I keep laughing at?! He has a patch of hair in the back where his mole is. It's so noticeable I'm getting in trouble for giggling! When it was all over my watch said 7:35 pm WHAT!!! 2.5 hours for 3 simple haircuts. T_T and there was no line. The stylist felt really bad about my boyfriend's hair and did not charge him. Please try to have more experienced stylists on the floor OR have a more than 1 experienced stylist supervising in case they mess up or are stuck. Those poor stylists looked so clueless. They need more training and need guidance with haircuts that they are not used to. Overall, the experience had some great laughs but not the greatest in giving a super nice cut. Sorry Supercuts. My daughter hates her cut and my boyfriend has to wait a couple of weeks to fix and undo his hair. His best friend is his beanie hat. I walked into the barber shop with only 2 workers, yet they were knocking out impressive haircuts rather quickly compared to what I am used to on the mainland. With 3 customers ahead of me I only waited 12 minutes for my turn. Stylist Rae took care of me. Her fade is impeccable, and my haircut is awesome!!! Little off the top and a great conversation. First time I have been here and I really enjoyed it. The place was difficult to find since it faces the outside of the mall and you really have to scan the Mall directory. There was no wait and James my barber (or are they now called hair stylist?) was friendly and quick. Since he never saw me before he asked a lot of questions on what I wanted before the hair chopping. He even stopped a few times for my opinion. That was great!! The place is very clean and really brightly lit. All the workers were chatting away with either each outer or with other customers. It was a great way to spend the time instead of looking at the mirror or down on the hair cape. Overall four stars. People skills are great and the atmosphere not too bad. No really the air is ok not like some places where there is a chemical smell. Can't give it a five cause you have to spend a few mins to find the place. But now that I know where it's at........ His haircuts look OK for the most part, but he doesn't do anything fancy, so can't be that hard right?! Today was a different story. He got a new girl (or so it seemed) and she totally thinned out one side of his head to the point where it looked like he was balding on that side. He was very upset and will NOT be going back. I had to get my car worked on at Goodyear, so I had some time to kill even after grabbing some lunch. Anyone that knows me, knows I suck at keeping a good schedule for hair trims lol. I saw Supercuts and took advantage of my time. There were only two people working and one customer was getting highlights. (Time consuming.) I didn't have an appointment but it was still only a 45 minute wait. I got Jazzy and she trimmed my hair perfectly and then even blow dried and styled it. She is super nice and gentle. I really am not a fan of hair places... just one perk of going bolo head as I do. But my son does not want to go with the buzz cut or with his dad's look... so we usually head here to get his hair cut cheap and fast. It's $17 plus tax and tip for a boy's haircut and once he's in the chair it goes pretty fast. The hair cutters are pretty friendly and no-nonsense. Quality is acceptable, but of course varies from employee to employee. The biggest problem is probably getting in the chair. The wait can be up to an hour and a half, which is ridiculous from a place like Supercuts. Today they told us it would be an hour... but it ended up being about 20 minutes. There were only two people working and one was stuck with some kind of coloring job and seemed out of commission. For us, location is great and easy and if we're lucky the wait isn't too long, so it's definitely A-OK. read more

Since our lady that always used to cut my boys hair quit the place we normally go to, my other half suggested to go to Supercuts. Um... my first time going to super cuts they jacked up my hair and I was really disappointed with my hair. But he said he always goes to this one lady and no one else, so just my luck she was working today. Yay! We cut all three of our boys hairs and all of them were totally satisfied and left the chair smiling from ear to ear. I was really amazed of how awesome of a job she did. My oldest and youngest son did a skin fade side comb hairstyle and it turned out 20x better then what I expected. My oldest son even told me that he found his new hair person to cut his hair. She was gentle and took her time on the Work she did. I absolutely love their hairs. So I guess Supercuts is not so bad after all. Our hair stylist name was Namie. Another thing I wanted to mention. I do not recommend going to the Asian lady with grown out orangish blonde hair. I had 3 boys cutting their hair, they started way before she came out from the back room and by the time my hair stylist was almost done with my second son, that Asian lady had cut 3 peoples hair already. She did some whacked up job on all 3 of them. She did a fade on one of the kids and left long patches of hair in the back of his head, which was very noticeable. He had some short cut hairs in the front of his head and on the side was long like she made a mistake on blending it in. I'm sorry but I will never pay for a hair cut from what I had seen. Really unprofessional experience. I recently injured my arm and I am unable to wash my own hair. Called 2 hours in advance for a shampoo, flat iron for mid to long hair. I needed something cheap and very close to home. I was quoted $28 dollars. I asked the lady on the phone if I should make an appointment, I was told to check in online. I did, got there, immediately seated. After my hair was done. I was rung up at $50!!! I was upset. I explained my situation and my stylist called her manager on the phone, the manager proceeded to tell me that it's an Ala carte menu, I should have been told the price. I continued to tell her that still doesn't make sense, shampoo is 8.50 and style is 11.99 and up. $40 is an absolute up-charge! Plus, a haircut style is $55. In the end they were not sincere about it and still charged me $35. I can see why now Supercuts has a bad rep. It's poor management, communication, and too pricey for what it represents. I would have paid more at a higher end salon. Lesson learned, for me anyway. read more

She was comical and communicated most effectively when cutting my hair. If you look at my profile picture, that is her work. "Make it happen!" That should be her motto. The environment is quite clean and tucked nicely in the Kapolei shopping center's corner area by the bar, T-Spot. Cost is cheap, parking is all right with limited issues, and employees, as a whole, are nice and conversational. I was fortunate this time around with my current haircut and no waiting. From an objective point of view, I can see how someone else could potentially have a 5-star and a 0-star experience, hence my 3-star rating. Environment: The floor was very clean. However, the shelves that displayed the products were not placed nicely. It seemed like it was disorganized for a couple of days, but I noticed this because I was waiting for my haircut. Parking: Considering the amount of stores that are around the area, you can anticipate some walking and hunting. Guarantee parking is a far walk away. For me, it will not be problematic because I can use the exercise, but I can see how it may be difficult for most people due to "America's laziness!" Employees: Upon entering there was a fat lady with a BMI that was possibly 35. She had a solemn look on her face. She was firm about communication and about styles she is able to do. She had stated that she does not have the talent for fo-hawks and was grateful that I did not request one. She was very meticulous with her work, double and triple-checking with my level of acceptance and offered advice where she felt appropriate. I felt at ease with this and in fact being at ease was MOST important to me. Honestly, my TRUE hair-stylist lives in San Francisco. And I dare do say, she cuts my hair with ease, even got as far as to use a $700 scissor, hand-made from Japan, to cut my hair..... FOR FREE! Unfortunately, I needed a haircut and my stylist only comes around once or twice a year. WOMP WOMP! Overall, CHAN did wonders! And we both agreed that the hairstyle that I ideally want is working progress and is going to require patience and training before it is perfected. Reservation: Apparently, you cannot reserve a spot! WHAT!? You can only input a time that you will come in without a guarantee that you will be seen. WHAT!? If there are other walk-ins before you, at the time you "reserved" the other person will be serviced first. WHAT!!!? So what is the point of calling again? Ugh, the idea of that fills me with contempt and disgust!!! This has the potential of you waiting up to an hour before being serviced. And if you're there for the first time, there is no guarantee that you're going to walk out of there alive with a GOOD haircut. Is this what you get for cheap? I went to get my hair trimmed. It looked good at first, but when I looked at my hair later, I realized I still had a lot of split ends that she didn't take care of. I also don't think that $19 is a reasonable price since they didn't spend more than 15 minutes on my hair-- just spritzed with a water bottle. Hair texture might be unchangeable because of genetics, but Supercuts could help a person manage with the texture they have. The stylists expertise ranges from trainees to specialized stylists. I've had bad cut experiences here, but Stylist V.V.Ann is a great stylist that helps with recommendations dealing with face shape and hair texture; she did a great job saving me from a bad cut I was about to get. read more

I got a haircut and shampoo with Dori. I found her to be a delightful cheerful girl. I don't think my haircut is particularly hard to do, but you'd be surprised how many people can't understand what I'm trying to accomplish. Then she washed my hair and her massage was great. After the scalp massage she used a warm towel to wipe off any of the hair on my face. To me, it was worth a good tip. read more
