Location/Parking: The shop is located in Ka Makana Ali'i Mall across from Foodland Farms facing the parking lot. There are tons of parking in this mall. Service: Friendly service! There were 2 hair stylist at 2pm on a Saturday. We made a reservation at 10am when the shop opened and got a spot at 2:30pm for 2 children. It took less than half an hour for the hair cut. Price: Prices for a haircut are over $20 for children and adults. Highlights and color is a lot more but call for an estimate especially if you have long hair. Once we arrived, we were told by a very moody person that our appointment was no more and she could take us hours later. Walk ins welcomed. It's hot, so that means time for mini me to get a haircut. Usually I get his done on base, but being close to home we ended up coming here instead. As we were driving to the mall, we made an appointment online and were seen within 5mins. FYI: It's highly recommended you make an appointment. Social distancing is enforced and the place is clean. Plus AC works great. It's a haircut place what else can I write? Well I can say after my LV review (I know you read it) the math still doesn't add up. So you pay $3.95 for sanitation surcharge. There's no plexiglass or ultra violent lights zapping virus away. I see the hand sanitizer which probably cost $3.95 itself. And the stylist did spray down and wipe the seats after every customer. Didn't they do that before the pandemic as part of good hygiene? Plus the $3.95 is taxed. I know business need to survive but I just think this is excessive amount. Overall four stars. It's pricy but they do a good job. Military discount for active duty only. Veterans get nothing. I recently visited Supercuts for what I hoped would be a decent haircut, but boy, was I wrong. My experience at Supercuts was nothing short of a disaster, and should be considered a crime. First off, let's talk about the haircut itself. I asked for a simple trim, but what I got was more akin to a hack job. The stylist seemed to have no concept of symmetry or precision. One side of my hair was noticeably longer than the other, and don't even get me started on the uneven lineup! It's like they were playing a game of blindfolded hair cutting. As somebody who usually goes to other locations and is satisfied almost every time, I am very disappointed in this location and now you have lost a customer. read more

Justin has been cutting my hair on and off for a few years now (I've moved off island twice within the past 10 years and I currently live in Washington now) and I can honestly say he does an amazing job every time. Every time I'm back on island I always go to him. It's hard to find a barber you can trust but Justin has never let failed to take care of my hair. Dont go to this store! I brought my kids for the first time there. The stylist was ok. But she said she voided my transaction so that I could give her a tip. But I told the manager that it wasnt voided and I still got charged! Make a long story short....the manager kept giving me the "run around" that management was taken care of it but NEVER did!!! Took my daughter to get her haircut,the person that did her hair was Saya. She did such a HORRIBLE job on her hair my daughter wanted a simple trim and layers it was all uneven it looked like a child cut her hair. There's a hairstylist by the name of Sharmayne that works here at Supercuts Kamakana Alii. She great. Very friendly does a great job in hair styling and coloring. I've been seeing her as my stylist at Regis Kapolei for about 1 year and 1/2. When Regis closed I was sad and I was unable to find another stylist whom I felt comfortable with or whom I felt I could trust styling my hair. I was thinking oh no where am I going to get my hair done. So I went to this place called croppers in town and I got my hair colored. Believe it or not in two days my grays were showing the color was coming out. I was so upset I spent all that money for what. I could have done it myself. Long story short a month later I was able to find Sharmayne working at Supercuts Kamakana Alii. I was so so happy. For me she's the best. I'm sure she'll do great on you too. Went to this location purely because it was convenient for me. Have been there one other time and the girl didn't do to bad. Went back about 2-3 weeks ago and had an older Asian lady cut my hair. I asked for a refresh of my layers and to thin out my hair. (I have ALOT of hair) Quickly she told me "I wouldn't thin it, it will make it look fuller" ..um, what? I've been thinning my hair for a LONG time. Sadly, I put my trust in her. She asked after "keep it as long as possible?" I said yes and she began snipping away, taking a good 3 inches off. I have supported her before covid and went to another hairstylist after Regis opened up during covid. Once I seen her back there and was happy, I switched back to her. You just need to find a barber who knows your hair and knows how you want your hair cut. My esthetician was friendly and outgoing. I appreciated the time she took to ask how I wanted my brows shaped instead of just getting right to it because I'm very particular and like it to be naturally shaped and clean, NOT thin and over-arched. They also had some really great hair product sales, buy one get one 30% off or 4 mini products for $15.00. Took advantage of this and got Paul Mitchell's "Hot off the Press" spray and "It's A 10" to keep my hair healthy when styling. KALI (aka the pretty girl with bomb eyelashes and cool hair) IS AWESOME. Today she cut my hair and it looks and feels amazing. She's super nice, we had a great conversation over silly things hahaha. I had to rush out & meet up with someone right after, so I felt really bad I wasn't able to say thank you enough. Anyways back to my hair lol- My hair is pretty long (as I've even growing it out) and when I get it cut, stylists usually rush and it looks jagged/too straight but Kali took her time to make sure she didn't over cut my hair (which I really appreciate) I came in to cut off all my split ends and layer it just a bit and that's exactly what she did. She even took her time to show me how to style my bangs as well as recommend a nice shampoo & conditioner for my hair type. I am usually anxious about getting my hair trimmed as I am working on growing/keeping it long, but I finally found someone to cut it the way I like. I will be coming back in eight weeks or so to have it trimmed again. Needless to say my friend was right, Justin's artistry as a hair dresser is amazing and he is extremely easy to talk to, which to me is important because if I'm sitting in a chair for longer than 3 mins without anything to do, I will lose my mind haha Buts it's not only him, there is another worker there (always looks stunning with her beautiful makeup, more mature woman) who is also very sweet and it just makes for a really comfortable and welcoming environment. Always always always NEVER on time with appointments. Told me 5pm-6pm is walk in only and sure enough a customer comes in and checks in for 5:30pm at 5:15pm. How?! How is it possible if it's walk in and clearly I'm here before you? So after a wait of 1 hour I'm running out of time and decide to make an appointment for the following day @ 11am. I show up and am told it was "mistakenly" booked for 11:30am with literally 4-5 people already waiting in the salon also. Seriously never coming back here again.
