I came in today 7/16/26 around noon for my son's haircut, when I walked in a nice stylist gentleman greeted me. The front desk girl was snobby from the start, I didn't catch her name unfortunately, then she was gonna be the girl to cut my son's hair absolutely not! I showed her a reference picture for my son's haircut and she was just so rude, no need to go into detail... I so wished I would have caught her name, she had shoulder length black hair with tattoos. I left, saying I'll go somewhere else where they're well trained in all areas. I still feel upset and even more so that I didn't catch her name. I visited Supercuts in La Habra and specifically requested Kenny for my haircut after he was recommended to me when my usual stylist, Linh, wasn't available. Unfortunately, the experience was disappointing. From the moment I arrived, I felt unwelcome. Although I had requested Kenny, he repeatedly tried to pass me off to other stylists rather than taking my appointment himself. Whether intentional or not, it left me feeling judged and uncomfortable as a customer. The stylist who ultimately cut my hair was pleasant and did an acceptable job, but the appointment felt rushed and lacked the attention I would expect. This wasn't my first visit to this location, and while I've had some positive experiences, I can't honestly say that every visit has felt welcoming. I understand that schedules and staffing can change, but if a customer specifically requests a stylist, clear communication and professional treatment go a long way. IF you come to this location to get your hair done, make sure you have Linh (or Link) do your hair. Its hard to read his name on the receipt. I had the exact same thing done 2 different times (shampoo and blow out). Once in April and the 2nd time last week (July). Last week, Linh was very nice and did exactly what I asked. Didn't say too much and charged me $45. I tipped him $9. In April, I had a female do my hair. She works across from Linh, has short hair, salt and pepper and says she is retiring at the end of the year. She went on and on about the cost of the service - wash and blow dry. She was actually quite rude about it and continued to harp that it was going to cost me at least $70 for the service. I told her fine, I'd pay it. I didn't engage her too much. When she was done, she charged me $74 and I tipped her $4. I wasnt gonna tip her anything because I felt berated the whole time she did my hair. Now here's the question - why were there 2 DRASTICALLY different prices to get a shampoo and blow out? It was only 3 months difference. I brought my daughter for a trim...our regular hairstylist at a different salon was on maternity leave, so I figured, "it's just a trim, Supercuts can't mess this up". We got there at 330 on a Sunday. The woman closest to the sink, on the right, in the back is who cut my daughter's hair. I swear, it took her 8 min! I thought she was either really good and the haircut was easy, or she was lazy and did a lousy job. I asked if she could dry her hair as it was pretty wet, and she said no because they close at 4....we had 20 min to spare, but ok...I'll do it myself when I get home. We got home, and the hair was so uneven! My daughter had strands 2-3 inches longer, sticking out at the bottom. This place is a hit or miss. I've taken my son a few times and I wish I would've gotten the women's name who helped my son the time I loved the cut. My son has very straight hair and it's long so I wanted to keep the length and clean it up, these last 2 times he's gotten the same older woman and she just butchers it. I'd appreciate it when a stylist can be upfront and say they're not comfortable doing a certain cut but each time she has left it completely butchered and uneven. Booked online. Made appointment with woman. Got there, I was the only customer. Got a man. Came in for color, shampoo, cut, blow out. I think this is a barbershop. I got a dry cut first. (pixie cut with bangs). Then color applied with hand , no sectioning and applying by brush. Shampoo, blow dry and done. bangs cut to middle of forehead. A 1" difference in front of my ears. charged $130.00 before tip. came home and cut off the hair in front of one ear to match the other. Combed out hair and snipped the longer sections here and there. Getting hair stylists that can cut your hair can be both personal and oddly intimate is unusual. If you think about it. You have someone cutting your hair for about 20 minutes that is all over your personal space. As social creatures many of us we like to go to a place of service where people remember you. Others want to just get their hair cut and bounce. What's nice about being a customer is there is an interactive part we all play to make our experience happen. Both good and bad a lot depends on our mood, patience and expectations. I have been going to this specific Supercuts for the last 15 years. Oh sure I will go to the occasional other Supercuts (uptown Whittier, La Habra area) maybe hit up sports clips or some salon in brea now and then but I always find myself back in this specific Supercuts. Dominga, Kenny and the rest of the stylists are consistent, personable, and are professionals at what they do. I have always just rotated to any stylist that was available and got a great haircut just about every time. Supercuts app can use some work as I have tried to book in advance and had issues. So I would just call in and see what the wait time was put in my name. Sure you may have to wait as they are popular on the weekends, but we need to have patience. Thank you Dominga and the crew for making me feel welcome every time I go. If your looking for a stylist with creative skills, good conversation, give them a call. I tend to be a very loyal customer so I have been getting my hair cut here for over 10 years. I have been willing to put up with long waits even after checking in online. I have been willing to sometimes get haircuts that are not quite the best. Those things happen sometimes. However, after waiting 25 minutes tonight, Kenny walked over to me and told me that they would not have time to cut my hair tonight. There was time apparently to cut the hair of his other two walk in friends who had walked in after me. One of his walk in friends even tried to stand up to him and mentioned that I had come in before him to no avail. I could have made a scene but I have to admit I was angry, I just told him that I had been coming here for a long time and I would never be back. The only way to effect change for a bad Buisness is to give your money to a better run one. That is what I will choose to do. I am guessing in the hair cutting Buisness that this is not that big a deal. I got my hair cut four times a year for $20 buck each and tipped $20 bucks each time. So that is only a loss of $160 per year. The interesting thing however, if I am getting treated like this, I am willing to bet that a lot of other folks are as well. When that happens it can really have a negative impact on revenue. I hope that this Supercuts gets its act together for all the other people who come there. You decided to go rogue and cut 6 inches off my hair instead of 3!! I went in today to get a trim. I told the lady I wanted a trim and when she asked how much I wanted cut. I told her three inches. She showed me what three inches looked like and I confirmed that was what I wanted. She started cutting the back of my hair where I couldn't see how much she was cutting off. After about 3 minutes into cutting my hair she asks me if I want layers. I told her no and she said let me show you the back because your hair is very damaged. When she turn me to show me the back I saw that she had not cut 3 inches off but she had cut 6 inches off. I immediately told her that my hair looked really short and that she took off more than three inches. She told me that she had too because it was damaged. She said she had to now cut layers because it is still damaged. I told her not to cut them if it was going to make my hair shorter. She said it wouldn't. Then she cut a 2 to 2.5 inch chunk that she called a "layer" out of the front of my hair (pictures show it). My hair is super uneven with these horrible chunky layers in the front of my face where everyone will see them. And it is now 6 inches shorter instead of 3 inches like I asked! It took me years to grow my hair that long and will now take me at least a year to growth that 3 extra inches she decided to take off without asking me or my permission. I have no idea why you thought you had the authority to cut 6 inches off my hair without my permission. I came in for a trim, not to have my hair chopped off. Three inches was my max and more than I was really comfortable having cut off. You cut off twice as much! I have asked multiple people who see me on a daily basis and they all say my hair is 6 inches shorter. And worse than than, I will now have to probably have it cut shorter to even out the extra 2 inch additional chunk missing in the front. And I had to pay $28 for that. And now pay someone else to fix it after you butchered the front of it. After when I told you that you cut my hair super short and shorter than I wanted, you responded with "but it looks healthier now". How dare you. I cannot believe you have a license or that a Corporation like Supercuts would employee someone who just goes rogue like that and decides to cut someone's hair however they want without asking the customer if it is okay. Worst hair stylist ever. Tami refused to continue cutting my hair and fix her mistakes. Front of my hair is ~1 inch while the back is ~3 inches. I asked her over and over to cut it down shorter to which she kept telling me I didnt have to pay but she would not cut my hair any further. I kept replying that its not the money....I dont want to look like a lizard with a terrible haircut. I have been several times, and received ok service. But on my most recent visit it comes down to a total rip-off bordering on robbery. SuperCuts has a policy of "and up" which basically leaves it up to the individual "stylist" to charge whatever they feel like. So I got a shampoo, trim and blowdry, at check out she stood there for almost a full minute staring at the screen trying to determine how much she could rob me for... or how much I was likely to tip in order to compensate. I was appalled when she came up with $30. It took me less than a nanosecond to determine she was getting a Ø for the tip. Normally I go to SportsClips and get their $20 MVP. The MVP begins with haircut followed by an invigorating scalp massage with tea tree shampoo, a steamed towel, blow dry and leave in conditioner, and finishes with a relaxing upper neck and shoulder massage all usually done by a hawt girl busting the buttons on her referee striped shirt. Then between haircuts, I can go in and get my neck trimmed and cleaned up for free. So that is where I will be going again in the future. Oh, and I contacted SuperCuts corporate office and they defended their "and up" policy which allows stylists to set their own prices above and beyond what corporate or franchises determine. However they did send me a $2 coupon towards my next haircut. Like I will ever use it. read more

Finally, a cheapo haircut place that didn't give me a crappy haircut! This experience was interesting because I got there and there were probably 5 people already waiting. I got seen before any of them! I guess they were waiting for someone or had an appointment for later, but still, it was fast. Then the haircut was fast. I didn't get much taken off, but it was still one of the fastest haircuts of my life. The quality of the haircut was a 4/5 with a spot of 1/5. The 1/5 was the sideburns, because I have a crooked head or something and they always manage to get it wrong. This time the lady angled one of my sideburns up and cut it higher than the other. S'ok though, I fixed it when I got home. The 4/5 was for the rest of the haircut because it looked good, it was exactly what I wanted, and it was fast. Another 1/5 would have been if they had used the texturing comb shear thing or something a little extra. The price on the sign at the front was exactly what I paid. The sign said $15, I paid $15. That included tax, too. I think anyone who has problems with what they got charged had a misunderstanding of the prices to begin with. The sign says $15 for a trim, $X for a trim and shampoo, $Y for a trim, shampoo, and blowdry. If they ask you if you'd like (insert service here) and you say yes....you are agreeing to buy that service. That's your fault, not their fault. I took my young daughter for a haircut here a couple of months ago. The stylist did a poor job and didn't do the cut I requested. I showed him pictures too. He wasn't friendly either. I asked him to correct the cut after noticing one side didn't look the same as the other. I could tell he was upset and seemed frustrated after I asked him to fix it. Well, it wasn't fixed.... Anyway, management tried to make it right and that was the best part of the experience. They suggested I go with Dominga and she has cut my daughters hair twice now, she is friendly and I can tell she knows what she is doing. I really like this place, but you have to be careful who you let cut your hair. I highly recommend making an appointment with Jessica (the blond girl.) She is very friendly and she did a fantastic job with my hair. I have a hard time deciding how to cut my thick wavy hair, but Jessica patiently walked me through it and made sure I would be happy with the result. She started cutting off a little at a time and always checked with me before doing something drastic. Most of the other hair stylists are pretty good as well. In my opinion, Jessica was a cut above. Kenny, the young Asian male stylist, is also very good. He was very energetic and gave me different styles to try (faux hawk) before settling back on the normal men's cut. He even massaged my head while styling my hair, all for no extra charge! The one stylist I would personally avoid is Kristen (or Kristie?). She is a heavy set white woman with long straight black hair. Suffice it to say that having her cut my hair reminded me of that "OtherCuts" commercial. If I could rate the stylists separately, 5 stars for Jessica, 4.5 for Kenny, and 1 for Kristen. The place overall would probably get 3.5 stars if you use random stylist, but since I can request Jessica I give 5 stars to this place. read more

This place is horrible, and externally disrespectful. I came in at 10:00 to get hair cut for my brother and at least 4 people came in after me, made an appointment for the waitlist after me, got their haircuts before me, and walked before me. I ended up walking out 11:30 without the hair cut because the disrespect was outrageous. They prioritize regulars over new customers and will put them before you. The barbers come and pick their usuals out of the crowd instead picking who's next on the list. Don't come here if you're a new customer, they'll ignore you and continue to disrespect you through out your wait. I'm a very Patient person, but after an hour and a half of disrespect I walk out. I know plenty of other barbers who are much respectful. Never going there again, and if respect is something that matters to you, neither should you. read more
