Listened to what I wanted, looked at pictures that I brought of different cuts I liked, suggested cuts that would be good for my hair type and facial features. Went in a few months back; had pre-scheduled an appt. on their app, and everything was going OK until the cut was done and I decided after review that I needed more cut off. The stylist was a bit perturbed and kept saying over and over 'OK, so you're changing what you originally told me'....I tried to ignore her as it was obvious she was trying to guilt me out of changing my mind. She then said if she was to have to start all over, she'd have to charge me for another haircut, and then pointed to the people waiting and mentioned that they'd all have to wait longer now too (definite guilt trip)! I said forget it, paid and left. I have NEVER had a stylist or salon do this to me before - what's the point of having you check your haircut afterwards with two different mirrors and ask you if it's OK if clearly the idea is that they don't want to hear anything but 'yes'?! I had been going to this Supercuts for years until now....I won't be back. read more

I would not go here again. My husband got the haircut here and he has curly hair.The entire cut was done in 3-4 min and the result came out so disappointing. I know he can have much better hair cut with his type of hair . And we have always been to Supercuts till we came to California and this i first time he tried here ----Its terrible. I am not hair specialist , so cants tell you whats wrong--but the way it was done ( in hurry ) the person who did the haircut was very uncomfortable it seems in her costume :(. read more

I went there and had the stylist Amy. Amy was very nice and friendly she was apologetic about having to wait, regaurdless of the fact that I had called ahead and made an appointment. The area was clean and the staff was all around very friendly. If you have children and are looking for a cheap place, I would strongly suggest them because of the way that they handled multiple children and made them feel beautiful. I was there for an hour and a half total and loved every moment. I will be returning and asking for Amy again! read more

$53 for a haircut?! I may as well have gone back to Aveda Salon on Santana Row. When my normal hair stylist at Aveda moved to Texas, I decided to ask some co-workers for recommendations. Inocencia at Supercuts was recommended to me. I haven't been to a Supercuts in a while, but I figured I would give it a try, because my co-worker has great hair. Inocencia gave me a great haircut. If she ever changes salons, I would be happy to go back to her. But when I went to pay for my haircut, I was in for an unpleasant surprise. The price of a haircut on the board was $18.95. I decided to treat myself and get the shampoo ($5) and blowdry ($12). So my total bill should be $35? Right? But when I checked out, the cashier and manager told me I had "style and blowdry" (a what?) not a regular blow dry which was way down on the bottom of the price list not anywhere near the haircut package I thought I was getting. A "style and blowdry" costs $35. How this makes any sense, I have no idea. So they said my bill was $18.95 plus $35 = $53. Why is a blow dry more expensive than a haircut? How was I supposed to know there is a difference between blow dry types (I just got it done straight, no fancy wedding hair.) Inocencia was in agreement and tried to support my case, but we both lost. And guess what Supercuts? You lost too because I will never go back to a Supercuts ever again. My Aveda cut and blowdry cost $65 but I also got a massage in the package and the experience was much better. First time here. And first experience with Supercuts. Disappointed. The girl doesn't quite know what she's doing. After done with cutting (no style to say), my hair was so wet from the water spray, and when comb with hand, I got whole handful of hair piece in hand. I asked if she can dry my hair a little bit, the answer I got was "there is addition cost to dry". Then I asked if she can use hair dryer to just blow off the loose piece, she said the loose hair will be off when I have my hair washed. I don't think I'll come here again. If that's how Supercuts work, I don't think I'll go any Supercuts in the future at all. read more

I got a simple trim with no shampoo. The cut was ok, but when she was done, she didn't even dry or brush it. I left the salon with long, blonde (looked greasy when it was wet), wet, and tangled hair. I thought that maybe she wasn't supposed to with no shampoo, but my friend got the same thing, and the other lady dried and brushed her hair. After she left me, she went in back and talked on her phone. She also came out when I was going to pay (because we were paying together), and expected a tip. Never go there. The one star is because I cannot figure out an option for zero star. Not only is there lack of organization at the location but the staff is extremely unprofessional. I understand the place is busy, we checked in online and waited for an hour, because we were told that is the wait time. An hour later Danelle and her colleague told us it will be another hour, and this was the second day in a row they did this to us. They could have told us two hours and we would have gone elsewhere. All they did was make a face and tell us they could not accommodate us. The staff was rude, unprofessional and disorganized. Would not recommend this location at all. The Sunnyvale location is much better and wait times much shorter. The staff at the Sunnyvale location is also very professional and efficient. read more

I waited two weeks to write this review because it's important to see how a haircut grows out before you determine the quality of the cut. I'm a guy who prefers to keep his hair on the longer side without using a razor. Colleen cut my hair and did a great job! When I initially sat down in the chair, she listened to my preferences and then made her own suggestions. I went along with her suggestions and was very happy with the end result. My wife also loved the cut, which is always a good sign. After two weeks, it's still looking good, even on my ugly mug. I would suggest asking for Colleen the next time you venture into Mountain View Supercuts. read more

First off, the service was friendly. The lady welcomed me with a warm welcome and made sure that I was being helped. Now to the haircut. For $17, the haircut was a good quality, the cut being pretty even. Although, the upper right side of my head has a small patch of hair that the hairdresser did not touch, even after I told her that it needed to be trimmed. Lastly, she gave me a warm towel to wipe the excess hair that was on my face during the cut. All in all, the experience was great and the place looked amazing, but since one side of my hair is uneven, I give it three stars. I would recommend this place to anybody who wants a simple, quick, and inexpensive cut!!!! read more

First time coming here and I must say I was impressed with the haircut and experience! The staff is friendly, definitely coming back! :)

I always get my hair cut here, I have long straight hair and just get ends trimmed, so it's not complicated. But I have been to some places that cut way too much off or leave the line crooked, so it is possible to screw up even my simple needs - I have never had this location mess up my hair in about 5 years of going there. This Supercuts location sometimes includes a nice neck and shoulder massage along with the scalp massage - something that I find very relaxing and a really nice touch. I do get a shampoo and cut, and generally I do not blow dry my hair so unless it is cold out I decline a blow dry. I am always satisfied with my hair cut, and usually leave feeling very pampered and relaxed! read more

This is pretty hit or miss place. First time was good, second time was terrible -- hair cut was uneven and I had to fix it up at home, as I was rushed out when more potential customers started lining up for haircut. It's $17.95 for a full haircut. Pretty dissatisfied with this particular place. read more

Took our 3 sons in to get their "back to school" haircuts. The older 2 got a great cut from a very nice lady. The youngest was not so lucky...he got Amy who started chopping away at his hair and then told me she wouldn't finish it if he didn't sit absolutely still. I thought she was kidding. She wasn't and told my husband and I the same thing on a number of occasions. In the end, we paid $13.95 for a very slight (and not particularly good) trim rather than an actual haircut. Should have gone to Kidcuts in Los Altos like we usually do! A shame because the other lady was very good. read more

I had my hair cut there last night and when the hair dresser handed me the mirror to show me the result I had to point out to her that some parts of my hair were shorter that the others (not the desired result). This gave the appearance that my hair had been styled in a bar room brawl. So out came the scissors again and she started lopping another half inch off the top. The second mirror event revealed that the area which was previously longer was now far shorter than the rest of my hair, I had to point this out to here again so off she went with the scissors and another alarming amount of hair came off the other side. It was at this point I decided that I needed to leave the salon whilst I still had my head, i assessed the damage at home and it was not good. In all honesty I have used this place several times before and got reasonable results, this was the first time I left looking like the bride of Frankenstein. So it seems some of the stylists are good and some should not be allowed to play with scissors, if you value your head don't take the risk. It's a shame i have to give one star, i would prefer a zero score if possible read more

I don't know why I keep going back to this place, probably because it is near my house and I don't really know where else to go. The last two times I've gone I've been asked if I'd like my haircut with scissors or a clipper. That was kind of weird but now I realize it was the same female cutting my hair. After I shrugged my shoulders she went ahead and grabbed the scissors and started snipping away. She asked how much i wanted off to begin with, and I told her an 1in and 1/2. She showed me an inch & 1/2 with her fingers, which was almost 3 inches. WHOOAA.. I said.. Ugh no more like this, and made an inch with my fingers.She laughed, and now that I look back at it, the laugh was a bit demonic. My hair was probably 5 inches in length to begin with. Just wanted to clean it up a bit. Well as my haircut concluded, I realized that I had another buzz cut. my hair is about 1/4 of an inch now on the sides and 1/2 on the top.. So .. I think I've learned my lesson, again.. well atleast until next time. read more

avoid short haircuts by tien. i told her i didn't want a short haircut that looks like a boy's haircut. that's what i got and it wasn't even well done (the manager had to clean up the haircut, but couldn't do anything about the lack of length due to tien's enthusiastic snipping away). the manager told me they didn't expect me to pay. one star on yelp means "Eek!
