Don't ever go here if you care for your hairs. 1) They don't care what you show them as reference picture. 2) Had booked premium cut, but they sent me back without shampoo because they wanted to other customers. 3) Hardly they listen to you, I told multiple time's during hair cut , keep it medium. But ruined my hairs by making it too short. Plus uneven hair cut on left and right side. 4) No hygiene at all, didn't clean hairs of previous customers from chair and hurried away everyone who came. My husband and I went for a haircut & beard styling with a hairdresser Thi and we had a very very bad experience today. She has very bad manners and completely ruined our day. I am very upset this happened. We told her how we want the hair to be cut but she won't listen. She kept on saying 'I know' and was doing something else. She left both sides at the back uneven and didn't even trim the hair properly. She refused to even hear what we had to say & we did NOT have the confidence to let her style the beard. So we didn't! We lost all the length of the hair and also the back of the head looks uneven. She didn't even make her screw up look even on both sides & then started yelling at us. Very very poor service! This is the worst haircut I ever got in my life. And OVERPRICED. Plus awful experience. I showed the lady a photo of me after a haircut and asked her to do something similar (for the hair and the beard). After like 7 minutes, when she barley done anything- she's telling me "hair is ready, can we proceed with beard?" After I showed the photo again and ZOOMED, she's like "OK". At the end she haven't done anything similar, and the attitude was NOT NICE at all. Also no one offered me even water (usually I pay 40% less and they always offer water/ coffee/ beer). Not to mention the place itself got no vibes/ atmosphere to make you feel good/ relaxed/ comfortable. Feels like "we want your money and DO NOT CARE about you at all". And after all, she charged me $40 and told me that I need to tip her (?!). I can't believe people having business listed online, located in Silicon Valley and treat FIRST TIME client like that. This review is on behalf of Annie N. I've been getting fades for years, and am super OCD when it comes to seeing lines and making sure the fade contours my head correctly, the way I want it. I was happy for the longest time, pre-covid paying premium prices for this quality, and sometimes it would take an hour to reach that level of attentiveness. Then, on top of that, I'd have to drive super far, maybe through traffic since appointments were limited. The whole ordeal would be at least two hours, plus 30 miles roundtrip in my car. That said, Annie N. is my new barber, hands down. The prices here are very reasonable in comparison for that same level of service ($30 plus tip). Her attention to detail is on point. She takes half the time of my old barber, but is just as good, and I never have trouble getting an appointment that works for me. To top it off, it's only a few miles from where I live, so I can literally get a haircut during my lunch break because of how quick she is, still get lunch, and be back within an hour. One time I had booked an appointment, and someone tried to squeeze in before me because they had a similar name, and when I got there and said I had an appointment, she booted him out of the chair for me. This place saved my life after SuperCuts tried to end it. Backstory: Went to Supercuts to get a NECK TRIM in between haircuts with my usual barber. Simple enough, right? NOPE! The lady at Supercuts took a #1 clipper and SHAVED OFF 1.5 inches of hair off the back of my neck with no blending or tapering! After small meltdown in the parking lot, I yelped up this place and managed to book a haircut just before closing. When I showed up the lady who helped me (I forget to get her name) was SHOOK at what they had done to me. Once she regained her composure, she wasted no time and got to blending right away. This review is specifically for Annie N!! I have been to others there and they are solid but not at Annie's caliber. For me specifically, I have found that barbershops do a phenomenal job with the fade however typically lack the scissor skills available at a hair salon. Hair salons typically have the scissor skills but lack the ability to do an exceptional fade. Annie does both and she does it in under 30 minutes. She is personable and I will not get my hair cut anywhere else as long as I live in the Bay Area. I should also mention I drive 45 minutes each way to get my hair cut by her. Words can't even describe how upset I am with my haircut. Only a couple weeks ago I got my hair cut by the same stylist (Thi) and I gave a very positive review, but you wouldn't even believe it was the same person that cut my hair 3 weeks ago. It looks like someone's first attempt at cutting hair. When she lined me up she took out decent a chunk of my hairline. I didn't notice at first but once I took a closer look at it after I left I immediately noticed and had to go back for a refund. I don't understand how the same person that gave me a great haircut just a couple weeks prior could then also give me the worst haircut of my life. When I told her about the chunk of my hair missing from my hairline she claimed she never lines people up and that she didn't do it and it was actually my own hair falling out. I can respect people that own up to their own mistakes but to treat their customers like they're idiots is just insulting. My hair definitely did not fall out because it's clear there is a perfect line from where the hair was cut and you can see the roots from where the razor cut the existing hair. She refused to give me a refund and it wasn't until I told her I could provide picture proof of my hair before. That's when she finally conceded and gave me a refund. If you want someone that can consistently cut hair well and treat their customers with respect then I would certainly look elsewhere. Do yourself a favor and don't waste your money here. read more

We get their on time and she made my kids wait 30 minutes saying she does not have time for both kids but then she took 3 walkins. I used to come here quite a bit when I lived in the South Bay because it was really convenient to stop by after school at 4pm-ish for a quick haircut before dinner. The quality of haircuts here is really nice, but it's definitely not what I'd consider cheap -- with tip a basic haircut is like $30 so it's a definitely a step up and I kind of expect a bit more -- which is why this place only gets a 4-star from me. I've also had the stylist misinterpret the type of haircut I want -- basically as my hair grows longer on top, I tend to style it pushed over to one side kind of like a combover, but when it's shorter I like to style it so it's more uniformly forward spiked -- I expressed this to the stylist but she basically just kept my combover style but made it shorter, which doesn't work because to do that she basically had to cut one side of my hair shorter than the other, so I was just stuck with this short combover look, that I'm meh about, which is a bummer (still looked nice though). So I guess I've never been really "wow"-ed by the haircuts I've gotten here, but the baseline quality you get here definitely makes it a safe choice, so it's still an okay choice. read more

Haircuts are very personal. I asked for tapering and got that hard cut. And the implements were wielded painfully, time and again. Had a haircut given by Thi Chuong. This was an abysmal experience across the board. 1. She was upset that I canceled past appointments. Well I use the vagaro app to book my appointments and they request that I cancel at least 1 hour before. I cancel in fact 6 hours before or a day before. I have never kept the appointment and haven't shown up. She mentioned this at the beginning of my service and throughout the appointment that I have canceled appointments. I don't know what the deal is when I respect their time and cancel well in advance when my schedule is challenging. 2. She offers no advice or suggestions for the haircut. I tell her the way I want it and when I asked her if that would look good, she says "it's up to you". As a professional if she can't offer any basic advice, I wonder what the point of her is. 3. The name of the game is rush. She is in a rush to work on your hair and be done with you. I had very little to assess and see if I like things. She had done a poor job of blending the sides to the top in one spot. Instead of just fixing that and keeping the taper that I wanted on the sides, she just trimmed the sides with one number all over and the taper was gone. The result of this was that I got one of the worst haircuts of my life. No exaggeration here. I am a tech professional with tons of business meetings and I hate the way my hair looks. I tried this place based on her reviews on vagaro but I think she doctored those reviews. This is not a person I would trust your hair with. Avoid Thi Chuong at Unique Haircuts at all costs. I used to go to another place that I loved but they raised their rates by 10 bucks. I learned my lesson. You get what you pay for. read more
