I never write reviews, but this place has really BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE!!! I came to Super Cuts for a trim, and since I had never been there, I got asked for my name and phone number. I was then told the wait was 30 minutes for the trim. 40 minutes later, I got up to ask the girl how much longer I had to wait. She told me I wasn't on the waiting list and that the current waiting time was an hour. She didn't try to squeeze me in so I was upset and left. read more

WORST hair cut I have ever received. I have had awesome luck with other Supercuts, but this one was terrible. The stylist was rude and they didn't know what number the clippers were. I went over to Regis Salon to have them fix it. If you really want to go to this Supercuts, I'd suggest to go to Sears instead and rent a lawn mower, and it would probably do a better job. read more

I wouldn't recommend getting your hair cut here unless you're fond of waiting a long time. The haircut turns out fine but the wait is painful, and doubly so because you often look up and only half the staff is actual working while the other half is either missing or talking to each other. read more

Slow and very sad service. Worst Supercuts I've ever been to. They promised a 20 minute wait but ended up being an hour long wait. The haircut took forever and there were only 2 people working. I never go to Supercuts because they don't have the best reputation. However, a woman I know told me she goes for blow outs and the price was good. I made an appointment and they informed me that it would cost $60 to do a blowout with a round brush and to use a flat iron it. If I didn't want to use a round brush it would cost mid 50s. This is more than any place in town! I have hair above my shoulders. Crazy! I won't be giving it any stars. I don't recommend going. read more

I had an excellent hairdresser... I believer her name was Judith? She had an excellent repertoire and was very compassionate and kind in regards to my thin hair. She cut quickly, yet efficiently and I'm still reaping the benefits. Thank you! will be back to see you. read more

When i came in on Monday there were 2 girls. Really friendly and all. They told me it would be 45$ to color my hair. Unfortunately i didnt have time, so i for there on tuesday at 9.30 a.m. The hair dresser was in a bad mood. She wasnt friendly or helpful. I was not sure about the color and First she didnt really want to take out her color list. I was that close to leave the shop. But then we Startes to talk. It was really nice to talk to her. I learnd a lot. Was cool. The color and all was awesome Even if i paid 60$ for the color. But the Salon was ugly. Dirty and broken. Quite disgusting. But it's okay. I paid 105 $ plus 23$ tip. (Semi color & Cut & Brush) and the work was done very well, even she needed 3?! Hours. read more

TL;DR: Management: You need to hire more people. Agree with the majority of previous comments - and I'm wondering if management even bothers to read these reviews because nothing changes. I usually go to a barber for my cuts, but I needed a cut same day within a few hours. Made an appointment, arrived 15 minutes early. Three people working. Guy calls me over to his chair. Gives me a great cut. No problems. Noticed that he and another stylist took turns answering the phone and greeting walk-ins. 3 weeks later, on a Monday morning, I again need an immediate cut and decide to give them another shot. Two women working, one was doing a woman's hair, the other (the new girl) was covering the front desk and answering the phones. New girl/receptionist/stylist says to me go ahead and sit down in that chair (pointing to the chair closest to the reception with a gown thrown on top). So I walk over to the chair and I'm standing there like WTF, as she continues to talk on the phone taking another appointment. I sit in the chair as a GROUP of tourists walks in and asks for haircuts for 3 people. She says she'll be ready to cut their hair in 15 minutes, so now I'm thinking she hasn't even started with me and she's already planning on being done and cleaned up and ready for the next person in 15 minutes? Those people leave, phone rings, and she takes that call. Finally she walks over to me, asks what I want, and I reply - realizing that she will never pay attention to me - I say just clean it up. She starts measuring my hair and guess what? Yeah - another phone call! And of course the other woman working has no intention of answering the phone. New girl takes the call, then returns to me and just starts cutting, clearly showing signs of being over-whelmed. Cutting in a manner that you knew she was racing against the clock. Granted, she was friendly and was trying her best, but clearly she needed help and the other woman was acting like she could care less. She asks if she can just use the clippers and I say whatever works for you, just clean it up. She starts cutting and - you guessed it - another walk-in that she has to attend to. She returns to cutting my hair, and this nonsense of being interrupted continues for 10 minutes after which she stops, says she's done cutting my hair. WTF?A?A? I have no idea what the back looks like, she never gives me a mirror. By this time I'm just like let's get out of here. My appointment was for 11:00. While standing paying I look at my phone - it's 11:15. She probably spent 5 minutes cutting my hair. Hair cut was mediocre at best, but what do you expect for 5 minutes. Given more time and attention she probably could have done a better job. Had to get it recut by a barber a few days later. Hire more people!!!! read more

This is a two star review because every now and again I get a good haircut here. But it's completely arbitrary whether or not I do. Every time I come in I give the person working with me the same instructions-- Short as you can go without buzzing, leave a little on the top. And every other time I come in, I get exactly that. And then there are days like today, when I walk out looking like I'm a 10 year old kid in 1992. (For Millennials that won't know what that means, Google the words "Macaulay Culkin.") I get it that hair stylists are busy and everyone's hair is different and blah blah blah but here's some advice: When you're done working with your client, take a look at them. If you saw them on the street, would you say to yourself, "Wow, that guy has a great haircut"? Or "Wow, I'm pretty sure that guy just had his mom put a bowl on his head and cut around it"? You're shooting for the first one of those. Every time. Even if you're really busy. Even if you're having a bad day. Got it? read more

I got my haircut here about 1 1/2 months ago by a younger woman, I think her name was Xnthia? She has really cool hair, tattoos and a great attitude. Anyways, best haircut I've gotten in Santa Barbara over the 5 years I've lived here. First time having my hair cut like most guys, short and kinda fashionable and she was patient in helping me describe and find out what I wanted/ what would look good. This haircut salon is part of a well-known chain cooperation in the heart of Santa Barbara's busiest district. There's a theory that chain corporation salons offer fast walk in haircuts, and it works with one or two walk in people, but when eight diverse male and female people walk in for a haircut at the same time, the human speed of cutting hair cutting finds its limit. Speaking of humans, the employees working at this salon are humans and they all have a human rights to take a break when transitioning clients. If you put your name on a list, then walk around Santa Barbara, or get your haircut somewhere else, but do not bash a facility for not abiding to your time schedule. I agree I have waited long times before, and agree management should hire more employees, but all my haircuts are perfect every time I walk out. If I have to wait too long, I don't bash a place online, instead I go to another facility. read more

This place was the worst haircutting experience I've had. They were very unprofessional. The hair stylist had me stand for a while as she cut my hair because I had long hair instead of raising the chair. When she finished cutting my hair, my hair was dripping wet (it was a little cold outside today so I expected her to dry it a litte). I asked her to blow dry my hair and she only blow dried it half way. My hair was tangled after the blow dry so I asked her if she could brush it and she handed me the comb and I had to brush my hair myself. I would not recommend this place at all! read more

Just walked in at 5:30 Sunday 8/7/16 (they close at 6) and two employees there with one customer in the chair. The girl told me they're all "booked up" - which is total BS, as the girl just wanted to close/leave early. I looked back in at 5:45 & no customers there. I would have been in & out in 10-15 minutes, but she couldn't do it.
