HEIDI is a Thousand Oaks gem! I know going to Supercuts is scary but trust me she's amazing. She checks in with you every step of the way making sure every angle is ok. She explains the haircut you bring in so you know how it will look on you. I've had a very bad experience in the past so I just love that she walks me through it. Ladies stop paying nearly $100 at other salons. Trust me, I've been to high end salons in TO, Moorpark and Westlake and she's just as good at a fraction of the price! Super Cuts is located on Moorpark Rd in Thousand Oaks, the same plaza as McDonald's, Vons & Dollar Tree. For the last 3 years I've come here on & off. I used to go to the one on Thousand Oaks Blvd for years before they decided to close it down. It's pretty simple. You can walk in or make an appointment. I usually call ahead to see how busy they are. I'm not very adventurous with haircuts or color, so this is perfect for me. I'd rather spend my money on other things. I've never spent more than $25 here, and although it's inexpensive, I'm very happy with my haircuts. I especially like this one as an acquaintance by the name Amanda works here & since she was a former instructor at Lu Ross, I am very confident in her ability & skills. My husband & nephew also get their haircut here when they don't go to their other regular spots. Everyone whom I've worked with has been great & I think everyone, but one person there has worked on me. They have all be very friendly, helpful & accommodating. Incompetent unprofessional hairdresser who didn't care. TERRIBLE CUT. Shape is all wrong, I should've walked away after my hair washing, when I could already tell that she didn't have good dexterity. So now I have to try to fix the horrible shape. I'm so UNHAPPY about my hair. I'll never let this person touch me again, EVER. Cutting it myself at home would've come out better. That lady should get out of the profession and go do something else. Like work at coffeeshop, as gardener etc. Maybe a factory. She should get minus 10 stars. I was gonna give the place 2 stars as it was clean and otherwise nice. But now am downgrading to 1 star. That's actually generous. I HATED my experience there. I look terrible. Awful uncaring staff. She didn't care about customers. She washed my hair with dreadfully long fingernails. It was a disgusting experience, as I could feel the nails on my scalp. Yuc. And she wasn't competent to do any hairstyling either. At least this was the weekend staff, I was there on Sat afternoon, I can't speak of other staff, but sure don't want to go back for any reason. I got my haircut a few days ago and is terrible. I asked for a layered haircut and I specifically said not to cut much off because my hair shrinks quite a bit. My hair is pretty short on the sides and the back. The sides don't blend with the back so it looks like a mullet. Very upset! read more

Well..I just walked in needing a haircut. The lady asked me if I had a reservation and told her no. She told me they were booked, even though no one else was in there, to the limit and told me I could not get a haircut. I downloaded their app to make a reservation and it said that their was a zero minute wait. I tried calling them after and after a minute I got sent to a voicemail and it said they were not answering cause they were busy, definitely not the case according to a minute ago when I was inside, plus their app. Not recommending this place. At least to the lady that was working. One question I have is that I wonder if I actually need a reservation. Time and time again I am very pleased with her work, she is really friendly and, as an added bonus, helps me brush up on my Spanish. I'll start this off by saying I'm a disabled woman and I feel like I was ripped off by this location. I got here about 2pm on a Saturday and was checked in by a man and he said that they could get me in at 3. I was already dealing with pain and exhaustion but figured the wait would be less strain on me than washing and drying my hair myself. I return at 3 only to wait another 15 minutes while they took another gentleman as a walk-in. At about 3:20 they were finally ready to take me. A different stylist than the one that checked me in, took one look at me and said a Supercuts 3 would cost $90, instead of the $24 listed price. I have long hair so I always expect an upcharge, but I was expecting double the cost, note more than triple. After tip, I would be paying over $100 for a strip mall haircut. I asked how much for the wash and cut only, and she let me know that would be $24. She washed my hair, but at that point I decided to end the appointment. I was too upset to let someone touch my hair. (I have been on chemo in the past and haircuts are pretty stressful under normal circumstances.) If I had known the price before I waited an hour and a half, I would have just left and got my hair washed and styled at DryBar for $55. read more
