Shafiaq Khouli and his SK Concrete team built on our back yard a 14' x 14' SPA niche including a…read more12' x 12' x 5" reinforced concrete pad, foundation, drainage, three sides surrounding half high retaining walls and embedded SPA electrical wiring conduit. They also installed footing drain (French drain) on the back retaining wall, backfilled with the usual gravel, crushed stone and covered the outside of the walls with installed paneled stone veneer. They also did the initial former structure demolition, debris hauling and the requested earth moving and other necessary small retaining walls reassembly. It sounds like an easy simple job but, believe me, it got complicated quite soon. Along the construction way, I was able to interact with the crew and bounce ideas and corrections which were followed to my customer satisfaction, resulting in more than a very acceptable final product. When the inevitable, beyond his control, the one odd crew helper misbehavior occurred on the job, this contractor immediately corrected it, got on top of the problem and smoothly and quickly we had no more of an issue here. He also facilitated for me the customer to bring my own tile / stone wall-caps products and installer guys, which ended doing a beautiful job we're very proud of. Pricing fair, not inexpensive. Job done acceptable, with your own (the customer) continuous supervision and being able to stop working crew's irreparable mistakes before they happened, however, the final product came out well built and functional as we imagined and expected, we are grateful for that. this is our first yelp review for an outside vendor..I am the General Manager for Stoneyard…read moreLandscape Center in Altadena.......our business enjoys continued and future business from positive yelp reviews....and as such....I felt the need to post one for Pacwest Scale after our recent dealings with them.... As a stoneyard and landscape center, a large portion of our product is sold by weight....our scale went down......and showed an error code which would not let it operate......this of course happened on Friday morning.....with the scale down....we were shut down for sales on 60 % of our product with the weekend coming up (our busiest days)......we needed resolution fast....fast....fast.... the scale has been operational for 6 years straight....so we had no procedure in this matter for repair.....I called the manufacturer and they recommended PacWest Scale as our closet vendor.....I called into the office and let them know that we were dead in the water and needed help.... the person in he service dept....indicated he would check with his area techs and see what they could do to assist....I hoped for a quick response back wonderfully.....I got a call back in about 30 min.....indicating that a tech was finishing up in chino....and would drive into us THAT DAY....I was of course thrilled..... we were informed that due to the travel distance from chino to our yard in Altadena.....there would be a travel premium.....I of course agreed....and hoped it would not be too expensive.....for the overall repair...... the tech who came out could not have been nicer....and worked our scale in the heat and sun for 2 and a half hours......and replace a broken leveling foot and pad and re calibrated our system......I told myself....this is going to be about 500 bucks with labor, parts and travel time..... to my surprise the total bill came to $267.00.....in my book a bargain for same day service, labor , travel time and parts.......!!! Pac West came thru when we needed them.....and we were up and running for a very busy weekend!!!!! Bravo Pac West......every one on your team from service to dispatch to service tech.... top notch!!!!! if you have an issue.....you have to call these guys!!!!

Robin and her team are EXQUISITE. And I don't use that word often. We had massive tree trimming…read moreneeds after buying our house that had not had its trees trimmed in years - 9 trees total (2 palms, 4 olives, a pepper tree, and a few very large elms). From start to finish Robin was a pleasure to work with. She stopped by in person to evaluate the state of the trees and make great recommendations. She also took videos and took notes so she could relay her exact vision to her team that would be trimming the trees. Her team was also amazing. They cranked out this massive job in a single day and were super easy to work with and very efficient. Honestly couldn't believe how fast they worked and how great everything looks. At the end of the project the team shared pictures and spoke with Robin on the phone so she could ensure she was happy with how everything turned out. She even called out a few things that could be improved and they took care of it before they left. The cost was also very reasonable--and I check out 5 different vendors. They are a premium service that doesn't feel overpriced. I could not recommend Robin and her team more when it comes to tree/land services. Thank you again Robin and team!

This is the best tree cutting company I've ever used for my decades old magnolia tree. They arrived…read moreon time, and started working at eight in the morning. They really listened to my request to cut the canopy back. The lead man cutting made the whole tree look symmetrical and more beautiful than it's ever looked in years. He was fast and efficient and climbed all through the tree and lowered limbs carefully by ropes. His cleanup crew picked up debris and everything was taken to the curbside to be shredded later. The whole company is very well run and super efficient. They get my highest recommendation.
