After my initial call, I was told that "Devon" in Orange County would be calling me. I waited two weeks and called again. An excuse was made and I was assured that Devon would again be calling me. Two more weeks had gone by--with NO call. I have since gone to B&C Awnings, who not only came out to my store within 2 days, but had the quote for my project back to me the following day. That is customer service- something Superior Awning is seriously lacking. will not be used for my other stores nor recommended any time soon. Given the customers service I received by B&C, they will be our go to company for awnings for all our other projects. read more

Once i decided to use Superior Awning, trying to get them on the phone was a huge challenge. The two female associates who answered the telephones never returned my calls or at least not on the day that I called. Or the day after that. In addition, they were rude and unhelpful. After speaking with the sales associate who had originally come to my home to give me a quote, I specified that I needed the job done soon. He promised to have the job done within ten days. But lo and behold he left a message that it would take an additional week just to get back to me to take specific measurements. They sure were ready to take my credit card! read more

eight years ago i hired superior awning to build and design a new awning for my business . Last Wednesday my awning was vandalized and not safely adhered to the building. i called them the next day and i asked for there help they were booked until the following Monday ,but after i complained because i really needed it fixed because it was unsafe the owner made sure the next day, Friday that his team of workers came out and they fixed it up and did a great job! that is good business and that is why they are Superior! i will definitely use them again and recommend them to anyone. read more

We had been saving for a couple of years to add awnings to our pool patio and garage. While we were eventually happy with the final product, the process of getting our new awning -- completed by Superior Awning -- was a nightmare. We specifically created a Yelp account to share our experience with other people in the market for awnings because it was bad enough that we wouldn't have chosen them had we read this review. Details for pool (20'x10") and garage (16'x4') awnings approved (pool poles to match existing house trim color...garage awning to match existing patio awning material). 6/16/14: Credit card charged 1/2 down payment. 7/08/14: Install scheduled for 10am. Estimated completion 4-6 hrs. Installers arrive 12:30pm (2.5 hours late). Frame arrives damaged from transport and with unfinished welds. Center pole is about 2 ft. off design location as the new overlaid pool deck is about to be concrete drilled in the wrong place. Pole had to be cut, relocated and welded. No welder on site so one was delivered. Julio (lead installer) did a great job protecting the pool deck while welding on the new pole. Frame touched up with a different color from spray cans around 7pm. Garage awning border material did not match existing, as designed. It had no center supports so it was sagging in the middle and out of level due to bolts causing a large gap against the garage. 7/10/14: Met with Jeff and Julio who saw the problems and agreed to remove and fix. 7/14/14: Both awnings removed. Re-install scheduled for 7/22/14. 7/21/14: Late afternoon phone call from Superior canceling 7/22 install. Sales Rep tells my husband the owner Brian would like to meet at the factory. Appointment made for the next day. 7/22/14: Brian not available when my husband arrives. He meets with Berta instead who implies the problem is our fault for changing plans mid-stream. Confusion was cleared up. New install date set for 7/29/14. 7/29/14: Installers arrive on time. Both awnings were installed and finished by the evening. They appeared to match original design and quality as promised. Signed the final paperwork and spoke with Julio asking him to hold off charging the credit card until the next day to give us some time to do a final look over (I did not arrive home from work until the sun was nearly down). We asked if he needed a credit card for the payment and told us they had it on file from the deposit. Told Julio if we had any issues we would call the office, but if they didn't hear from us it was ok to charge the original card they had on file. 8/01/14 @ 6:50 a.m. Received a threatening message from Brian Hotchkiss. We had no idea that they did not charge the credit card as instructed. This was the 1st phone call we received. read more

I started this review once and it got lost in the ether . . . I like these folks so much I'm going to take the time and do it again! Last October there was a freak micro hail storm in Palmdale that lasted literally two hours. I had never seen anything like it in my sixty seven years on planet earth. The damage wasn't just limited to the awnings but also required a roofing company (also five stars) and an HVAC company to do repairs as well. I called Superior Awning and left an after hours message. I received a call back from Ken Burgio and requested an estimate to replace all of the "pans" on both sides of the home.. We conducted the entire process by phone and email. (To this day I have never met Ken nor anyone from his company in person.) From the initial estimate, to the measuring step, to the actual installation, the entire process went as well as I could have expected. The final result is flawless. These folks are the real deal! Communication was ideal, The price was competitive, They did what they said they would do when they said they would do it. I could not have been happier! I would definitely recommend them . . . What a great company. Kyle, the owner's son, came out to our house and couldn't have been more helpful. We picked a fabric, discussed and agreed upon options, agreed on a price and discussed some unique challenges of our project. Kyle measured and then returned twice, not once but twice, to measure and assess the final layout. The install went smooth and on the date we needed (a deal point). The guys who did it were professional, didn't rush and explained the system to me. This was the finishing touch on a MAJOR patio remodel and if it hadn't gone well would have been a real disaster. I had to replace a fabric awning above my patio. One year ago Ken Burgeo came out and gave me a bid and it turned out to be more money than I could spend at the time. One year later, I called around to get some other estimates which were all way more than the one Superior had given the year prior. I emailed Ken and asked if he would honor that price a year later and he said yes! When he had come out originally, he was very professional. He took photographs, he measured, he went on a ladder to inspect everything. He was very thorough, which other bidders had not been. I received a complete estimate with every thing completely spelled out, including the picture. The men who came to take down the old awning and subsequently the ones who came back to replace it were all very friendly and knowledgeable. I give this a 4 instead of 5 as there was a little mishap with them having to come back twice to install it since the cutters hadn't read their instructions quite right and it didn't fit properly the first time. But, with the original pictures Ken had taken, it was easily fixed and done right. It's perfect now and I'm living made in the shade! read more
