Their prices are very competitive and we loved their computer/digital renderings that show you how different styles would look on your actual home. Our awnings (approx 15) were installed in 2006 and they are literally like new. The Sunbrella fabric is so durable and fade resistant and the frames that Superior made are in perfect condition. If being a repeat customer is the most important review to consider, then mine fits that. I bought a large patio cover from Superior about 3 years ago. And now I am back to get a second cover/extension and also add a fabric window awning. On the patio cover, Superior's install team did an excellent job and with a lot of attention to detail. I was very pleased that the team did not rush things and they made sure the patio cover was put up so there would be no issues ahead for us. They removed the old cover, patched stucco and painted - we are so very happy with the end result. Also very key to our satisfaction was on the sales side. Devon Snyder is truly a class act and I can say a good man. I have had to deal with many contractors over the last year due to home issues . None have had the sincere dedication to me as a customer like Devon showed us. Our cover job, and now our second add-ons, are not a lot of money to the company or to him, but he always made us feel like we were important and a priority. Devon was also instrumental in suggesting us to consider a solid cover vs replacing our current lattice w/ lattice again. He also provided suggestions to raise the cover height as well. We are so pleased with the result from these suggestions of his. It's going to bring us years of enjoyment ahead! So on our add-on, his advice is golden :). Ken Burgio arrived on time on the scheduled consultation date. He was very professional. He explained in detail how the awning works and how it is installed. He brought all the color samples and other information. He has a good eye and was able to help with color selection and placement questions. After meeting with other companies, I booked installation with Superior Awning because their prices were the most competitive and their service was professional. On the date the installation was scheduled to occur, two men arrived at the house on time and with all the proper materials to get the job done. I called 3 companies for bids on replacing my 30ft x 8ft retractable awning. One company finally called me back about an appt. after 3 weeks from my first contact. I didn't pursue them any further. Another company came out in a timely fashion, told me I did not need to replace the entire assembly, just the actual awning. They gave me a price. Superior's rep, Mike, also came out in a timely fashion. He agreed I only needed the actual awning and not the entire assembly. Superior's price was about 70% of the price of the other company for the same pattern. Superior was good about informing me of the timing of their arrival to measure and also to actually perform the installation. The installers were quick, efficient and clean. They did a good job of adjusting the arms of the awning and cleaning the entire assembly. Highly recommend Superior Awning. read more

I have nothing but good things to say about Superior Awning and Ken Burgio. The entire experience was amazing. Ken was very professional and knowledgeable when he first came out to consult with me. I needed an awning for the side yard for my son's birthday as a lot of people will be coming over and only had 4 weeks. Ken assured me that it would be fine. A couple of days after I called Ken to confirm the order however he had a personal emergency for which he had to leave town. While officially on time off, he was still timely and responsive in all of his communication to me. When he returned he came by again to do one final measurement. A week later the awning was ready, and the crew came to install. There was an unfortunate incident where the crew failed to move or cover my backyard furniture, so my West Elm glass dining table was broken. I called Ken and without any hesitation he contacted the owner of Superior awning and got my table taken care of. We ended up deducting $500 off my final bill, so that I could get another table in time for the party including rushed shipping costs. We needed a customized awning to suit the odd shape and pitch of our hillside house (which presents a challenge to every craftsman who comes to do work on our home.) Brett was unphased. We took a long time before we chose a company to provide us with a new aluminum patio and a drop shade. Using the 6"pans gives a very nice visual and the drop shade is an amazing addition. I hired this company on the recommendation of a friend and was very happy with every phase of the deal. They met me at night because I couldn't coordinate any other time with both them and my husband and then they came back on their own two days later to measure and gauge the sun at the time it strikes my patio. They then designed a very creative solution and gave me a reasonable price. I took off work to be home when they installed it because the position had to be exact or it wouldn't work. But it wasn't necessary because the two fellows were very competent and professional and had exact instructions based on what the salesman and I had discussed. And the shade is really beautiful. I am thrilled with our new awnings! My mom recommended Superior Awning because of what a good job they did for her. We ordered 2 large awnings, and 3 medium ones. It was a tricky job, trying to keep the power source and cords from interfering with the architecture of our old home, but Devon and Daniel worked with our electrician to figure out the best solution. Daniel and the installation crew stayed past dark to make sure the installation was completed that day. It's been a few weeks since they were installed, and they are working beautifully. It has improved our home's appearance, and also made several rooms far more comfortable. I had 4 awnings that needed to be recovered, plus a new one built. This makes 5 awnings, correct? Because of how the house is situated, 3 of the recovered awnings had to be shortened to match the new one, and 1 of the 3 needed to be widened from 4' to 5'. Note these are all plain, spear-point awnings: essentially just a piece of fabric draped over a frame. Nothing fancy. Everything was properly noted in the contract, I give a $1,000 deposit on April 1, and we commenced. Installation #1 was a week later. I returned home to find that all awnings were recovered in the original size. No modifications AT ALL. Plus, the installers broke off a piece of a vintage light fixture, which I found lying on the ground. I call; they remove 3 of 5 awnings. Installation #2: they get the new ones part-way up but stop; the installer shows me what the shop sent him: a 5' frame [they got the size-up concept right that time] *but with a 4' awning on it*. He has the grace to look embarrassed. This is the only time that happens. Installation #3: sizes are exactly the same as original, plus two vertical supports are crooked, so the spears look...tipsy. The [different, obnoxious] installer argues that a [different] light fixture is impeding the modification. I call the salesman and scream profanely. Then I text him pictures. He texts back that I should have emailed him the pictures rather than texting him, because he cannot retrieve them for his boss. I swear some more but email him all the pictures, one-by-one. I suggest that, since his people cannot recover [perfectly good, sturdy] frames, maybe they should just use their [new, not as sturdy] frames, hang my awnings, I will pay them the amount due AND WE WILL NEVER HAVE TO SEE EACH OTHER AGAIN. This was on May 13th. I have heard nothing since. In summary: I used to have 4 awnings. I tried to get 5 awnings. Instead, I have 2 awnings, am out $1,000 and my house is getting hotter by the day. read more

I wasn't sure what to get to replace the old patio cover that was falling apart. I've called patio places for years and nobody had a good solution. Then I saw an ad for awnings and thought I'd give them a try. I found Superior Awning on yelp and with the good reviews for the company and Ken I gave them a call. Ken walked into my patio and immediately told me what I needed and how they would install it. A few hours later I got his bid in an email and was surprised to find it much lower then the patio companies. He also said a material awning wouldn't work. I need an aluminum cover. Thinking it would look like my grandma's old rusted one I pulled out the brochure he'd left and discovered they are beautiful now!
