When asked him to repeat who he was, he used a condescending tone to tell me who he was. First red flag. Eric needs to learn some etiquette. You may be a good tradesman but your presence on the phone sucks monkey balls. If you don't want the job then just say so. Eric made and installed my blinds almost 20 years ago. I've had them cleaned regularly but noticed that the large wood blind wasn't operating as well as it should be. I took a chance and called his number using the old invoice that I had from when I had the blinds made and sure enough he picked up the phone. I explained the situation; I didn't need new blinds I just needed to have the ones I had looked at to see if they needed to be repaired. Within a couple of days Eric referred me to an associate, Francisco, who repairs blinds. Francisco came out today and within a few hours replaced the gear mechanisms and re-corded them and now my wood blinds work like new! I had him check the other blinds in the house and he applied a lubricant to them and they also are now like new. They accomplished HALF the job of attaining privacy at TWICE the price, The outer edges curled inward when drawn allowing light and visibility. I waited awhile to post this as I didn't want to negatively affect the business, but then had another (unrelated) incident that prompted me to reconsider. The job on the blinds was fine; however, as a single woman living alone I would not recommend this business. I was extremely uncomfortable at how overly friendly the man was. To an extreme extent-- I was trying to get work done, which i mentioned, and it was several hours of inappropriate, personal discussion about his own romantic life and asking lots of personal questions about me. I understand the need to be friendly while doing work but it was well over the line to what would classify as inappropriate. The work on the blinds was good. When he came to finish the job later, I mentioned my boyfriend and his attitude suddenly changed and he became agitated, and finished quickly leaving a huge mess.
