I want to start this off by saying WOW! Amazing, all around great experience from start to finish. I came early around 8:20 AM for Friday the 13th and had the best time! Check in was easy and simple there was a bit of a wait but nothing crazy it all went by so fast. Everyone working is so nice and positive, especially the owners you can really tell they CARE! I came in for a belly piercing and my second lobe piercing. I was extremely nervous for my belly piercing, I have a very low pain tolerance and Jen made my experience better than I could've imagined!!! She seriously is so great, she gained a forever customer for sure. They were fairly busy but Jen still took her time to be patient with me and make conversation which I really appreciated considering how nervous I was. She was quick, careful and very gentle. I did a walk in so I did wait about 15-20 mins for my turn which is understandable. It does get pretty busy with walk ins! Overall, the process was super smooth & fast. I want to give this shop the benefit of the doubt because I've had good experiences when being pierced here and some of the tattoo artist are cool and passionate. I came in for a walk in a year ago now and got tatted by monsterz ink. The experience wasn't very friendly to start and he didn't seem to want to even tattoo me. It was my first tattoo and I didn't know what to expect and experience. A year later after being tattoo by another artist I've realized how bad of an experience I had. But the main problem stems from his ability to tattoo as a year later the lines are very thick, in consistent and blown out. I had my artist who I go to now do some cover up work and additions to his work. The pictures below show the inconsistencies of his work that I am unhappy with. Ultimately the design choice was my fault because I said yes to letting him tattoo that on me but it did feel like it lacked creativity and passion. Ultimately the inconsistencies of monsterz ink work left me very unhappy a year later. I also reached out to the shop owner a couple months later, tried to have them help me fix the tattoo and got ghosted after being lead on that they can help me. read more

had intentions of getting my daughter's ears pierced here given all the good reviews. Before walking in, I called to see if they do baby piercings since my daughter is 8 months old, the guy on the phone told me that they did and that I can walk in at any time. Long story short I did not end up getting my daughter's ears pierced because she was moving a lot The piercer himself was really nice. He was the one who greeted me out the door. I have nothing bad to say about him. He did warn me as i was signing in that he might not be able to pierce her ears if she moves alot (fair enough, i even appreciated that!) But as I was waiting, this other worker (tattoo artist) started questioning me on why i was gonna pierce her ears. He was like "na na how bout you put yourself in pain" and i get it we all have our different views, especially when it comes to piercing baby's ears, but i told him "its just part of culture. She will be fine. Its not something she will remember & itll be quick. I have tattoos and piercings myself."He went on to say "na yall always come up with every excuse in tthe damn book" . Service and the people there were really nice but when I got my navel pierced, the piercer their used very short bar where I had to go to a different shop because it caused me so much pain and my skin almost swallowed the jewelry. They gave me a longer bar at the other place but since it was pierced crocked it started to reject so now I have pretty bad scar tissue on my stomach and hopefully I can get it pierced somewhere else a few months from now or probably next year. I linked a picture of how it looked when I changed the jewelry to a longer bar first and it looks extremely red and swollen due to the poor quality. There was also no communication on cleaning. As soon as I paid they immediately took in the next person to the back. I wish I could get a refund for my time it took to have this piercing genuinely. read more

I went in with my 15 year old daughter last night to get matching helix piercings. Right from the beginning, everyone who helped us, was very friendly, respectful, and welcoming. I honestly felt, like I was around friends. The artist that did our piercings was Julian. Even though I have pierced my lip myself as a teen. I was a little nervous to get the piercing we wanted which was the helix. I can say, I will definitely be going back and taking my teen nieces to get their helix pierced as well. I went to this shop a while ago for the first time and got a second helix piercing by Jen. She was very nice, funny, and seemed to know a lot about her craft. The shop's vibes were really cool and I liked it there. However, she pierced me with a bar that was way too small and I ended up having to get it swapped out somewhere else. It was pretty painful because the skin started swallowing it, and as soon as the guy at the other place took it out I knew it was way too tiny. There are tons of positive reviews on this place so I'm sure it was just a one time thing, but make sure to check the length of the bar you're getting pierced with! read more

Came here with my friends to get piercings for my birthday. The whole staff was super friendly upon arrival. We were first welcomed in by Guillermo. They welcomed us asked us what we wanted . We didn't know where to get the piercings but the staff did a great job explaining to us all the different placements. After signing our waivers 2 of my friends went with one guy ( sorry don't know his name) and my other friend and I went with Jen. Absolutely love Jen! She was really sweet and professional. Im so sorry if you had a bad day Martin, or if you were upset that there was a rush during the last few hours of your shift, but making your customers feel unwelcome and ruining the experience because of your stank mood is not okay. If there's one thing I can't stand, is someone to waste my time! I spoke to Julian the night before about getting my daughters belly button pierced. I set an appointment for 11am the next day cuz I had plans at 2pm. I asked him did he need my number to call just in case, he said no he sees it and not to worry because he'd be there. I don't live in Downy so I drove about an hour in traffic to get to the shop! Long story short, I get there on time and he's No where to be found!! I ask the guy in the shop if he knows when Julian's coming, figuring he might of called and said he's running late and he's like he should be here shortly! I leave my number and go run some errands. I called twice and got their voicemail so I just drove back over 45 min later only to be told he still hadn't called and they was not sure when he'd be coming! I wait around till 12:30pm and I call again and someone tells me he's a half hour or so away and to go to another piercer in the shop! Now I'm irritated because If I wanted to have another random piercer to do it, I wouldn't of made an appointment with him! I understand that life happens, but I found it quite unprofessional in how Julian treated us.
