Blaine and his team seem to do a great job from what I have seen. They have serviced my pool for three months and it has been more than crystal clear. Blaine has been easy to work with and even identified issues with my pool as it was new construction. When I had my new pool constructed he repeated the exact instructions the pool company did without knowing it. That is usually a really good sign because neither had conflicting requests. He was able to get our system up and running and working fantastic. We are trusting him with quite an intense pool with a baja shelf, flagstone, black pebble, and flagstone caps. I am sure it is probably one of the hardest pools to keep clear and maintained and its always crystal clear. I will let this exchange speak for itself: Blaine, What you report below was never communicated to me in any way-- not via email, in person with a tech, nor in a phone call. You're stating all of this to me as if you had communicated this, which you had not. Your tone is also clearly quite rude, as in "this is not on us", which again refers to issues that you had never apprised me of. You said that you have "addressed" the issue -- but nowhere below did you actually do so. All of this is verifiable. I don't even understand what expenses exactly you're referring to since you've never told me exactly what the issues are. Moreover, you initially said that there is a lack of power and now you're saying the heater not working is due to normal wear and tear - I'm not sure how these are connected, what the diagnosis is, or what your recommendation is exactly as to next steps. All of this is documented below. This is frankly abusive and you should be aware that I'm going to post about this on Yelp and Google and anywhere else I can, such as instagram, LinkedIn where I have thousands of followers, and elsewhere. I am writing this to share MY experience with Blaine an Superior Pool and Spa. Take it for what it's worth to you, these are facts supported by text thread. My family purchased a home and resumed the pool services (Superior Pool and Spa) from the previous owner. Being a new pool owner, I was curious as to how the whole system worked. Blaine was nice enough to come out to the home, talk to us about his company, and briefly showed us the basics of pool cleaning. That was about as good as it got. In the following 2.5 months, various pool cleaners came and went, servicing the pool. I introduced myself to at least three different workers, each time being respectful and offering waters/drinks. Most times, I had questions about pool maintenance and most of the times, they referred me back to Blaine. Through text, I communicated with Blaine, asking him questions to improve my knowledge and understanding of my pool equipment and maintenance. To my disappointment, Blaine responded "HOW LONG UNTIL YOU LET US GO?" His statement is rude and unwarranted. How could the owner of the company disrespect a customer who is simply learning to be a responsible pool owner. Moreover, what reason would you give the customer to stay with your company after that statement. To make matters even WORSE, he made it a point to say that "customer cancelled services." The best pool service guys in this area. My pool equipment is older and the parts are hard to find. I had been quoted from my previous service company for new equipment, but I couldn't afford to go all new. The owner of superior came out and was able to retrofit my outdated equipment to get my aqualink working again as well as replacing an ignition module on my heater which I was told was obsolete. I have recently experienced some very unprofessional pool service. i have had to fire two companies because of incompetent service. I checked out Yelp and got Blaine of Superior Pool and Spa. He came out and ascertained that my pool was the subject of benign neglect. This means that the other companies were missing the point of doing a good job. Blaine worked on the filter and cleaned the pool of being over chlorinated. He responded to my concerns and explained things to my inquiring mind. I am very pleased with his service. Our pool guy just retired. Blaine showed up in his place. I don't feel like getting excited about pool service is something to spend a lot of mental energy on, but this guy is great!!!!!!. When he took over, he the repaired the problems that the former pool guy didn't notice and our pool water always seemed to look dingy and dull. I have gotten bids on filling in the pool just because we don't use it. Now, our pool is like drinking water. Now I feel like I can swim in the water without risking a bad virus If you are in North Orange County and looking for a pool guy that seem to really know his stuff and takes pride in his service. This will be a detailed event. We have a brand new pool and hired this comppany. It has a complicated system so I specifically asked if he had the experience needed. He said of course they did it all of the time. Our pool ccintinued to get dirty. They spent 5 minutes here. I'm not kidding. I timed them. So we called the builder because we were told it was the system. (By the pool cleaning guy) After one month we had a nightmare. No chemicals were in our pool. Our big filter was absolutely clogged. They had never vacuumed the pool. When we fIred him he said we were ripped off. These filter systems never work. He felt sorry for us. On and on. The last kid that came out looked at my husband and said we never work with these systems. We have no equipment to vacuum it. And he left. Did not even check the chemicals. The new company comes out. Cleans it all. Is actually knowledgeable about it. Met with the maker of the system. By the way. We called the rep that was supposed to meet with this pool company. He told us the guy never called and set up an appt. so we were lied to. Now it's all working perfectly. Clean. We are just glad we didn't waIt too long. And of course he wants paid for doing absolutely nothing. Literally came a few times. Was never here more than 8 minutes. No chemicals. It takes my new guy30 - 40 minutes to clean our pool. Great company and amazing customer service! I had pool service w/ a different company but was continuously getting algae, along with my heater not working. So I decided enough was enough. Then I was referred to Superior by a neighbor. First off they actually called back! Most companies I called wouldn't even return my phone calls. When they did call, super professional, polite, and came out shortly after! Needless to say, all my issues have be resolved and they continuously SHOW up as expected.
