I bought a used sheepskin rug, and I was expecting it to look and feel a little nicer so I thought to look for a business to help me restore my sheepskin rug (it's real sheepskin). To my surprise, several rug cleaning businesses declined to help me with my used sheepskin rug. When I called superior rug services, Shane answered and asked me to stop by to see what they could do--Shane clarified that sheepskin restoration was not something they typically did, but he said that he could try to wash the rug and do the best he could to restore it. He gave me a quote, and I agreed. He told me it would take about a week. One week later, Shane asked me to stop by and pick up my restored sheepskin rug. Upon review, the sheepskin rug looked and felt softer and cleaner. Absolutely no damage to the leather backing. I appreciated Shane helping me out, even though they do not typically work with sheepskin rugs. If I buy another used sheepskin rug, I look forward to taking it to superior rug services for any restoration that might be needed. Five stars. read more

I have a vintage kiliim rug that was badly worn and needed repair. Shayne at Superior Rug has a craftsman who restored my rug while still allowing some of the normal wear and tear of a100 year old runner. There were still a few areas that needed repair when I went to pick it up and he agreed to have them repaired under the previous contracted price. We paid $500 for this Company to give back our family's rug with a gigantic hole approx. 12 inches across (and dusty...). When my husband pointed out the giant hole the owner refused to take accountability for his Company's shoddy work, stating "the foundation of the rug was weak" and refused to fix it. At the same time, he stated he had "no idea" such damage would occur. Not only did they ruin the rug, but the owner Shane was incredibly awful about it and lacked any customer service skills. A rug that I inherited from my grandma and planned to pass down to our kids is now ruined -- please avoid this business and the awful owner. Update: As I hope is apparent from the owner's comment on my review, he is absolutely unhinged. Shane, it's laughable that you think cat urine caused a 12 inch hole. Your comment reflects your lack of professionalism and disconnected view of reality. The only truth in your comment was my misstatement about the price. Outstanding service! I have a beautiful blue very old Tibet rug I bought in Kathmandu fifty years ago. The moths got at it and ate away a 4 square inch patch. I took it to Superior Rug Repairs, hoping for the best. I picked it up today. They had washed the rug and it looked beautiful. I could not find where they had repaired the moth damage. Following up on this review. I had my rugs cleaned again by another company,about 1 year after Superior cleaned them. The rugs came back beautifully soft, clean almost like new. The excuses that Superior Rug Services gave me proved to be false since the old stains came out and the texture was restored even a year later. The only area of improvement would be for the owners is to get the Venmo app. It's an easier was of doing business.
