I took a wedding ring to super pawn they offered me 425$, I drove to All American jewelry and loan on Sullivan a couple miles away and walked out with 675$, pretty simple, if you are selling jewelry don't expect a fair price! My first experience with Superpawn and all I can do is compare them to their competition, in my mind 50-100$ difference is expected at any given shop for my ring but a 250$ difference makes you hesitant to trust that you are being treated fairly. Overall they did have a large selection of tools, some reasonably priced, some way overpriced. I didn't have any interaction with the staff on my visit, although at a glace, they appeared to hate their jobs. Getting out of this location was quite a pain. Back in may2021. I went to super pawn the one on center and put my 3000watt generator on loan. After 3 months I started making monthly payments. I usually make the payments myself, unless I'm scheduled to work. I had asked my wife to take care of it. That was in OCT2021. In Nov2021 I went to the rock location and was told that my last payment was in oct 12 2021. Furious I went home and asked my wife"what gives" she swore it was paid. First things first when customers walk into your establishment you should greet them and offer to help them. No, we walk in and there is 3 employees or maybe 2 standing around chit chatting I don't know to be honest but the gentleman behind the counter looked like he didn't even want to be there and we approach the counter and my husband asks him are you helping people right now and Tyler said no I'm not, so we stand to the side and wait for some assistance. 2 seconds later Tyler said you can set your stuff down and my husband said oh no I'm ok I'll wait, and Tyler proceeds to say well what are you in here for and my husband said well I wanted to sell my snowboard and gear but you said you weren't helping people and you don't seem to be to excited to be here. Tyler proceeds to explain what he meant when he said no he's not helping people. Well man your standing behind the counter, didn't even say hello when we said hi, didn't say how can I help you or welcome in, nothing like that was said. Needed some quick cash so I pawned a revolver at Superpawn. When I went to retrieve it was the worst experience I've ever had in a pawn shop. It didn't seem like ANYONE knew how to process the DD4473 (electronically) and after about 45 minutes of frustrated waiting I left. The clerks were apologetic but practically helpless and when I returned they had somehow managed to actually print out the dd4473 and all I had to do was sign. However it still took another 30 or 40 minutes for them to figure out if the numbers on the form matched the serial number. There are way better pawn shop establishments in Sparks/Reno. Avoid this one like the plague. read more

They explained nothing goes out for resell until a 30 day hold is up and the police have a chance to look at it. All I got from the police was to start looking for my stolen items at Pawn Shops. I'm a bargain shopper and love a good deal so a visit pawnshop regularly. I have been in this location only a few time but always get rude to no service. Everyone there seems to hate there job but WOW do they have a lot of Blu-ray's. I always get 3 for $10 at the Selmer location. So I picked out 15. When going to pay the little Asian lady says "$5 each" so I asked "you don't do 3 for $10 like your other store?" She just said no. So I asked what kind of deal she can give me. $5 each. No thank you. I went back in today and didn't see her so I picked out another 15 movies asked the young girl if they do 3 for $10, she asked and one man said Yes, another who I'm going to a sum was the manager said $4 each. Ones again I asked what kind of deal I can get and what if I get more. Rudely he says "$4 each. Not sure why this location is so rude,over priced, unprofessional and unegotiable but if I was you stay out. Take you business to a place that treats you with respect and offers you a good deal or at the very lest make you feel like you got a good deal. I agree with the others on here with there feed backs. This place is a total scam,Never witnessed another pawn shop like it smh ever since these new owners came in they have made this place a joke...Yes they will give u the most for your gold or jewelry BIG catch is,They give u no opportunity 2 pay down on your item,So if they give u 800$ and u do not come up wit that 800$ + interest fee's that apply in full before 3months is up,You can kiss that good by...The thing that is so shady is even if they allow u 2 do a pay down option they are still making double sometimes triple the loan,Why not provide people a opportunity 2 get there stuff back instead of basically making it impossible especially if u can't afford 2 pay it all at one time..Sad they take advantage of some of the most vulnerable people..Just no what u are getting into i would not recommend doing business with these people they are built 2 make sure u can not get your items back!!! read more

I had visited this location several times in the past years and never had an issue. I had often spent several hundred to over a thousand or more dollars on my trips there (about 2 or 3 times a year). I always like a good deal so I visit pawn shops frequently. Well, this time was different. I went in with my daughter and found that it took 30 minutes just to get someone to open the case for the games. All of their games were individually priced as well as the Disney Blurays. The prices were equal to new prices on Amazon! Then that employee turned me over to another employee who was such an shmuck that I could not believe it. I was purchasing well over 50 games, 40 blurays, plus a Wii, DS lite, and even an Ipod touch and was even interested in a 60" plasma TV that they had. Well, this employee went right to the computer and started "pricing" my items and then gave me outrageous prices! $20 for a 3ds game chip! I know that they only pay like $2 for these as I am a pawn shop expert having bought as well as pawned over the last 20 years. What a rip-off!! I could buy it elsewhere for that price if not way cheaper. This is supposed to be discounted and not scalping prices. I want to make it clear that I was not looking for any "freebies" or dirt cheap prices. I just wanted a fair price. Negotiation is half the fun when going into pawn shops, at least for me anyway. I asked why it was so high and was told that "it sells on Ebay for that" and "we price off of our competitors". When asked about a bulk discount I was told "no" this is the price because we can post it on Ebay for that and that is what Game Stop sells it for. This young man expected me to stand there while he priced 35 games on Ebay and Game Stop and had no intention of dealing ! Needless to say I walked out with nothing. I am not some re-seller or anything, Just a single mom of 6 kids who I like to spoil once in awhile. But I have my limits and this was it. This store is nothing but a greedy outlet and a poor excuse for the Super Pawn name. For shame on you! Stop raping the public! Get your head out of the clouds and back down to Earth. After returning home I called the Selmi store to complain about the extremely poor treatment and the vast differences in pricing and spoke with a very nice manager named "Stacy". This store at Selmi ALWAYS deals and is ALWAYS nice and courteous. As a matter of fact I had just visited this store right before the Rock location and purchased $500 worth of stuff. H(Stacy) said that he would call the Rock store and try to figure out what happened. He was quite apologetic and understanding. Well, the store manager of Rock called me back about 10 minutes later and was a complete A-hole!!! No wonder his employee was the same way. The apples do not fall far from the tree. This man did not want my money at all. I offered to return immediately and purchase everything that I wanted if I were able to negotiate a good deal. He flat refused to make any deal at all with me "because we price competitively". He went on to say that the game chips that I wanted were in the back and "not priced yet" and therefore I should consider myself "lucky" to have seen them at all. This is a load of horse hockey of course and a poor attempt to blame the customer. What a rude small minded man. He turned away over $1000 worth of sales so that he could be "competitive". Obviously customer service and product rotation are devoid in this man and he is teaching it to his employees who gobble it up like candy. He should not be a store manager or even an employee of this company. He is on need of a serious wake-up call on how not to turn away customers and their money. DO NOT VISIT THIS STORE EVER!! My friend took his gun there to pawn to get some cash to pay bills, when it was time to get it out he arrived at 5:50 on the day the pawn was due. I even called ahead to tell them he was on his way., they said the Hwy Patrol closes at 6. But they close at 6pm. they told him they had to run the Brady bill check and that they couldn't do it then Bull they don't close until 8pm to run checks. They just didn't want to stay and run the check. Then made a smart remark....hope your gun is still here tomorrow... and told him That he had to come back the next day, and would not accept his money, then when he came back today, they tried to change him more for the gun.
