I was sent to the hospital after eating their rice. I was violently ill and had to get a pelvic CT scan. The doctor confirmed it was from dirty/unwashed rice. I have not eaten fried rice since I was sick from their diced chicken & salted fish fried rice / 鹹雞粒炒飯 . If they do not wash their rice, I really wonder what else they don't do. Honestly really liked this dim sum spot. Pretty busy at lunch time for dim sum but they have a good number of tables so we didn't have to wait. Extensive menu with all the classic dim sum dishes. They were very generous with the sizes and the shrimp dishes were super loaded with shrimp! Particularly enjoyed the shumai, shrimp rice roll, and crispy tofu with shrimp. The fried salted egg pumpkin was also really good. Went in for a weekend brunch dim sum. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The restaurant is spacious and can cater to different sized groups.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] There was only one other table dining at the same time, but the speed of service and food preparation was so erratic and slow. They don't come by to check up on us or refill our teas, and it was an effort to even call someone to get extra napkins, water, etc. We ordered the typical, run-of-the-mill items and dishes came out in waves. One of the items we ordered was Chinese Broccoli, and it still wouldn't come out after we have finished all of our other dishes. I asked the servers to check up on the item throughout our meal but didn't receive any updates. When we completely finished all of our dishes and the broccoli were still not making its appearance, we flagged down one of the staff members and asked them to cancel that order because we want to leave. The staff tells the manager, who then goes back to the kitchen, and few minutes later, comes back with a plate of Chinese broccoli! We reiterated our request to cancel the item because we don't want to eat just a huge plate of Chinese Broccoli by itself. The manager visibly showed her frustration at our request and took it back to the kitchen. The food is fine, but I think they need to time their food preparation so that dishes can come out closer to each other. Hopefully they can fix this in near future! read more

Did a takeout order ordered three items and she read it back to me said it was gonna be ready in 15 minutes. Came back not ready yet. Waited another 15 minutes. Came back. Still wasn't ready. We waited for over 30mins, which is way too long for a dimsum only for a server to approach us and ask what we ordered because for some reason they didn't have our order at all. Siu Mai was hot and steamy and tasted very good. Pork buns are baked like a cup cake with a sugar top coating. Deep fried chicken wings freshly fried, very hot, excellent. Sesame balls are very good, coated with black and white sesame seeds. Lotus leaf rice is very good, tasty with pork chunks. Black bean pork ribs are very good. Shrimps in rice rolls hot and tasty. I wanted to check out a new dim sum spot. Food always hot, because it seems to be freshly prepared vs a high traffic dim sum spot with dim carts. The only problem is that it takes a very long time (ie. 30 minutes for the first dish to come out). Dessert was then served. Then the other food came out. It was the end of the afternoon, but the bill was given, but I still had dishes to come out. It looked like another table had guests of the staff or maybe the owners? Not sure, but they had gone to the kitchen to get food. Basically, everything was out of order, a restaurant during a soft opening type feel, etc. The tea cup was chipped. Two water glasses were either dirty or the cup had a crack ok it. The other tables had many left over dishes just sitting there. Tables weren't too clean. The food had larger portions, but not too much taste, almost bland tasting. It felt short staffed and one of the staff members, mentioned to the busy boy, "hey amigo". The same staff member would say hao gao vs shrimp dumplings to non-Asian customers. They brought fried chicken wings to my table, which I didn't order, then brought it to the right table. The wait staff would chat in Chinese to the kitchen for their orders, kinda like how orders used to mentioned in an old school dinner. The utensils felt like they bought second items from a previous restaurant. The vibe and decor basically felt like a run down 1980's HK movie, based in HK vs a new restaurant opening. Around 15 minutes before the posted closing time, a table of 3 came in to get seated, but the kitchen had closed because the kitchen staff was eating linch around 2:15 PM already. Once of walls had an electrical cord coming out of it, but no wall decoration. The free wifi didn't seem to work at the front of the restaurant, worked at the main dining area. There wasn't anything wrong overall, just a run down restaurant feeling. There are a bunch of other dim sum spots in the area that would be a better choice. read more

Best dim sum I have had in a long time. Everything was clearly cooked to order which means the food was all piping hot and fresh. (Also meant the meal took longer as dishes were served in waves but that's not always a bad thing if you have time.) Some down sides though: Some of the staff were kind of absent minded (asked for the same things twice) and often hard to flag down given how big the place is. Also, some of the dishes were of the "charge more but give larger servings" type, which is odd at a dim sum place where you are meant to try smaller servings. All those flaws aside, if they can keep up the quality of the food (and you can take a hit to your wallet... dim sum is expensive everywhere) this I good place to try! read more

First off took 5 minutes to get tea and they took it off of another table because they mixed it up. Then they crossed out 80% of their menu because the stove was down. So we ordered dim sum. The char-Siu now came our way to moist and over steamed the bottom was soggy and wet. The meat inside was dry and not as tasty. We also ordered the Sui mei, which was ok. It wasn't that moist and tasty like it normally should. The sticky rice lotus leaf was very soggy inside and they skimmed the Chinese sausage. One of the few restaurants that has pumpkin with salted egg yolk, a favorite dish of mine. I'll be coming here a lot for that! Highly highly recommend. A second dish I ordered was a combination fried rice (forgot the exact name, Superstar fried rice or something). That was a bit disappointing for the price. It had few ingredients - shrimp, egg, and a lot of oil. I wish it had more different types of meat and that it was more flavorful.
