She gave us complimentary aromatherapy oils for our massages. By the way, this was ostensibly 2 massages that were at the same time. But since it was my boyfriend and I on the day after Valentine's, then they pulled back the divider and let us enjoy a couples massage together. He opted for a Swedish/Thai combination massage. Since he has a lot of tightness in his back, he often needs a stronger hand. He said this did not disappoint. He felt like jelly after the session -- and a couple days after too. Mine was just the normal Swedish massage. But it was more like a rubdown. It felt nice, but dang. This was probably my fault, since I never spoke up about the strength. This a really great authentic spa near all the freeways. They are very easy to book with and the therapist Kim that I had did a very lovely job. I like the ambiance, it''s up to date with a old school Thailand decor, which is really cool and makes you kinda feel like you are somewhere else other than OC. The prices are good and they have a lot of options to choose from. They give good deals, but they will try to up sell you through out the service, which is smart for them to make more money, but bad for the ultra relaxed person that may say yes to everything and end up spending more than they anticipated. My sister and I just went today and it was nice and relaxing. the atmosphere is very relaxing and serene. They have japanese style sliding doors and the decor is very fengshui. We both had the swedish (soft strokes not deep tissue) massage and european facial. We had Mimi (massage) and Sara (facial). Mimi was very relaxing and i almost fell asleep. Sara was good with the facial, it wasn't painful, but I don't think facials were the expertise here, but no complaints as we got the online deal and basically the facial was free. The owner even offered me the same deal to purchase that day to be used any other time. I upgraded to the $69 one hour thai yoga massage and facial. I'm definitely going there again for this price. If you are looking for getting knots out, you'll have to upgrade to the deep tissue massage which is $20 more. I had a facial and a combo Swedish/Thai massage here. It was the BEST Thai massage I've ever had! Lots and lots of stretching and all in the right places. Thai massage can be painful, this was just enough to stretch out the kinks without feeling like my limbs were going to snap in two. I wish I remember the girls name who did it. I was here over a month ago and forgot to write a review. This is a nice Thai massage place, calming on the inside and located in a strip mall. I will probably return but I just wish it were closer to my house. Thai massage (or ANY massage) is all about the person performing the massage. I've been all over for massage from my chiropractors office to expensive hotel spas and I've learned that price is never an indication of quality. One of the BEST massage therapists I have ever had worked out of a chiropractors office in Santa Ana. First time reviewing but I wanted to leave a good review since Lynn was the best massage therapist I've ever had. I will be returning for a second appointment with Lynn on Sunday and added a facial to my appointment as well. I paid 55 dollars for a deep tissue massage and 10 dollar tip. For my next appointment I'll be adding the 30 dollar facial. I didn't have to tell Lynn what parts of my body she needed to work on - she did a full body deep tissue massage but mainly worked on the knots in my back. Thankfully once you open the door, the place is beautifully decorated and very clean. The massage was very relaxing. It wasn't what I would call a Swedish massage, as was the Groupon deal, but it was still very nice. The facial was great, not complaints. I had a facial & massage (both 1 hr) for $69, which is a great deal. I had the Swedish massage & it was absolutely great. The lady was very strong & thorough and really opened up all my tense spots. The facial was calming & relaxing & I was really pleased to see that they use Dermalogica products. They didn't try to push a bunch of products/extra services on me, which is a big plus. My second time here today. My first time here was for the Groupon. I wasn't aware of so many unhappy clients about making appointment to use Groupon so I just bought it, reserved it, and no hassle. I think maybe it's because I am able to go during daytime, when the business is slow. So I guess they didn't try to scam you, but they probably oversold and didn't really think about client flow. So I was searching for a good facial place to go after my next-door spa went out of business. So I was basically trying around. The therapist was gentle with massage but no extraction. I also like that they apply the mask substance with mask paper rather then directly on my face. Not all spa places do that and I appreciate that. So overall I was satisfied but haven't quite decided to settle, so I went on to try other spa places. The comparison just make me miss this place. So I went back for rejuvenating facial and waxing before my wedding day. The facial seemed more complicated than the classic one and requires more hand work. Sheri knew her deal! She was gentle enough not to hurt me when squeezing out the pimple, but firm enough for face massage. It felt that she cared about your skin, not just finishing routine. You knew it when you felt it. I was quite happy for that fact that I could actually fall held asleep during the process. That meant I could still feel the massage and application of mask and other material, but it's very relaxing. Oh, and I am a super sensitive person with hair pulling (therefor I hate waxing), but this one with the underarm was actually bearable. So I finally decided to sign up for the membership and get settled. It's 50 dollar a year and you get cheaper price for almost all the services, including massage, detox, facial, and waxing. I purchased the groupon deal for a massage and facial. The facility is located in a retail strip mall type setting. Not fancy from the outside, but nicely decorated on the inside. And clean. I know some people really want that "fancy day spa" atmosphere. But you pay for that. And it is just not that important to me. As long as the treatment is what I want,the facility is clean and inviting I really do not care about the other stuff. I had the treatments done several months ago and forgot to YELP. So I don't remember the name of the girls that did my service. Both the facial and massage were very nice. The only thing is the rooms are only separated by curtains. So every moan, cough and verbal communication made in the adjoining room is heard. that is the only negative thing I have to say. Everything else was very nice. I guess I am just not familiar with this type of massage. So I was quite surprised when my masseur climbed up on the bed with me. But as it turned out, it was nothing kinky :) evidently this is just how a Thai massage is done. I guess it gives them better leverage or something. I recently visited Suphattra's Retreat for my second time. I can only say one thing, call and book an appointment now. They are amazing. The place itself is so clean. It has a warm and inviting feel. The décor really transforms the quaint spa out of this world. You feel like you have entered inside a genies bottle or some other fantasy along those lines. I received a massage from Sherry and a facial from Jenny. Sherry had strong hands and a soft voice. She could tell that I was tense and sore. She suggested some essential oils to really help me relax. It was a great suggestion. I would ask for her again. My facial by Jenny was also top notch. She took care of my sensitive skin. She also provided waxing services and asked if I would like any added on. Of course I wanted the waxing, I'm already laying down, relaxed and at peace and thankful for getting so much done of my beauty list. She was so quick too that the pain level for the waxing was very minimal. I was please to find out that the owner honors the deals out in the internet. Since they were good to me, I'll be good to them for their review =) I usually don't try out new spas until they've settled in, but they offered such a great Travelzoo deal that I couldn't resist. $59 for 1 hr massage & 1 hr facial ! What a great way to attract new clients. It was also their pictures on their website that drew me in. I've been looking for a Thai-inspired spa. I really loved the decor and atmosphere ! The front area and seating area could be bigger, but what can you do? It was nicely decorated and really beautiful though. I was asked to come 10 minutes early to fill out some paperwork, and Venus (my masseuse) took me in right at my appointment at 2pm. I could tell she was experienced, and I felt comfortable with her. She was thorough, and asked me how I was doing throughout the massage so that was nice. Christine came into the room after for my facial. Not only does my skin look and feel great, she did an amazing job massaging my face, neck, and shoulders. She was very friendly too. The room that I was in was exotically decorated and I really liked that. They didn't try to sell me any extra services or add-ons which can be a good or bad thing lol. VERY UNPROFESSIONAL AND RUDE! Booked a groupon massage with two friends a month in advance. Confirmed twice before our visit. Was told upon arrival that someone had called in sick so they could only do 2 of us. Then the lady disappeared and came out and said actually 2 people called in sick and they couldn't do any of us? Then two customers walked in and were taken right in! We waited for the manager to come in to explain and reschedule and to ask for compensation. She couldn't explain what had happened and snottily kept saying "Let's forget about the past (20 minutes ago) and move on. I can't drive to the masseuses houses, drag them out of bed and make them massage you!" She refused our request of turning our 60 min massage into 90 minutes and said instead we could choose 3 styles within our 60 minutes -- what??? We called groupon and got our money refunded. Based on other reviews here, this place does not care about their "coupon" people cuz they figured we've already paid so we can be put off for "real" paying customers!!! I just wanted to update everyone that its been almost a month since I've gotten my "massage" from here, and my back has still never been the same. I had to sleep on the floor a couple of times because it was aching badly (something that's never happened to me before). Also, my sciatica started acting up again ever since receiving services from here. Travelzoo offered a great deal at this spa. $59 for a 1 hr facial and a 1 hr massage, or $69 for a 1 hr massage, 30 minute thai yoga session, and a 30 minute facial. Since I haven't had a thai yoga session in months, I opted for the latter, and I am so pleased. The location was easy to find, and had plenty of parking. It is beautifully decorated, and the owner/proprietress/waitperson at the reception area was friendly. I filled out some paperwork regarding previous health history, and what areas they should focus on, which is pretty standard. Vivan was my masseuse/skin specialist. She went over exactly the order of treatments I would be getting, and I was in bliss for 2 hours. The thai yoga was awesome. The massage was exceptional. The facial whisked a lot of dullness away, and left my skin feeling clean, smooth, and energized. I was extra delighted, because they use Dermalogica products for skin treatments; Dermalogica's skin line is wonderful. I almost passed out during my treatments. I am finishing a PhD and spend many hours on my feet teaching, and hunched over a computer, so my neck, back, shoulders, and legs are constantly aching. I hold a lot of stress in my body, but Vivian worked through the tension knots. For the first time in weeks, I can move without pain. When my session was done, the woman at the reception area offered me the same deal for a future appointment, with no expiration date, since Travelzoo's offer had expired last week. We are professional working adults (teachers, actually) who are very limited on time and when we can plan a get together, it's a big deal for us. we all work very hard in different districts and we had a "morning out" planned for weeks.... to go out to breakfast and then all get massages at Suphattra's retreat. Our jobs are very stressful.. and trust me... we were ALL looking forward to this morning. I called the tuesday prior to our appointments to confirm. "yes, we have 3 appointments set for you ladies on saturday." The manager, deja, called us on friday to confirm again. wow... great, so I thought. we arrived 15 minutes early... and after some humming and hawing.... they told us one therapist called in sick. ok... maybe one of us can wait and do an hour massage after the other two ladies go.... that we were willing to do because we know we can't talk and socialize while we're getting massages... not a huge deal. but, the staff continued to discuss among themselves and fumble around a bit and finally came back to us (after letting two other ladies go in after we arrived - not sure for what services, but they had no problem getting in).... and said, "we no longer have ANY appoinments available for you three." What?? needless, to say.... we were very confused as they NEVER gave us a logical explanation. we were told the manager will be in shortly, so we waited to speak with her. upon her arrival, she was incredibly short with us.... and very rude.... and wouldn't give us a proper explanation. she said, "i'm not sure what happened... but we can't do anything about it now... let's just move forward. can you come back in 2 weeks?" umm. no. we offered some suggestions of what we thought would be fair compensation for our treatment and our waste of time that morning.... and she still resisted and said, "the best i can do is offer you a massage in two weeks and we'll add on aromatherapy." (which two of us are highly allergic to... so that doesn't help us). the establishment looked nice, easiy accessible, and conveniently located. and we were excited to try the place out. unfortunately, we concluded that the two remaining therapists took walk ins... and the place doesn't value groupon customers as much, which is unfortnuate. of course, that is our "conclusion" since we weren't offered an exlanation by anyone. The manager said she'd call me this week to tell me what happened once she figures out what happened. I got no call. I wasn't surprised. of course... 5 stars to Groupon for their awesome customer service. I was able to call and get my money refunded immediately. now I can use my money at a reliable spa. another groupon for this place came up in my email just the other day. I went in and their everyday price is $39 for a thai massage (without the Groupon!!) so I was led to believe I was getting a great deal when I wasn't -I was told all the females were booked even though I booked my massage a month and a half earlier. -As soon as I got in, the lady at the front tried to get me to purchase a more expensive massage or add on a facial. If I wanted a facial, I would have booked one beforehand -When I was walking out, the receptionist was super rude to another customer that was at the front because she was trying to get me to book another massage That being said, I wouldn't go back. I get facials regularly from this amazing women. It's obvious she has years of experience when it comes to skin care. I have gone to a number of different estheticians and after every visit I felt disappointed. And then..... I met Sherry! She is a wizard when it comes to skincare. She only uses quality products and has all of the latest and greatest skincare equipment. I'm obsessed with the facial that includes Vacuodermie. Highly recommended! Where to begin, my hubby and I went in for a prenatal and deep tissue couples massage. The staff was nice but when asked if we had a preference we just said we wanted people who knew what they were doing. My hubby got someone fresh out of school that gave him "Indian burn type massage" and now I am actually in more pain and wasn't even in pain when I went in. Because I'm 8 months along I get adjustments as well and now my chiropractic adjustment feels like it needs to be redone. I've driven by this place lots of times and saw a banner advertising a 1 hour Thai or Swedish massage for $49. I finally decided to try it out. I called on a Thursday attempting to make a same-day appointment--they couldn't fit me in. I did get a an appointment the next day @ 3:00 PM. My credit card information was taken over the phone and my card was charged before my appointment--I didn't like this. Most places simply hold the card in case you don't show up, I don't understand why Suphattra's does this. The lobby is very small and decorated in a Thai style. Lots of jewel tones, orchids, and a fountain. Relaxing... There is only one person who can check you in and she was on the phone when I arrived. It took a good 10 minutes before I was given some paperwork to fill out and shown to my treatment room. There is no separate area in which to change and the treatment room was dark which made things a bit difficult. The treatments rooms are decorated beautifully and have a screen that shows relaxing visuals and plays new age music. The massage tables are not heated. My masseuse was very nice, she was Thai as evidence by her accent, her wan, and bowing. The massage was about 1/4 Swedish and the rest Thai with the Swedish massage using very little oil. I was disappointed that the massage was a Swedish/Thai combination as I was looking for a purely Swedish massage. Thai massage is more about stretching than relaxation and some of the stretches were rather painful. There is no upsell or opportunity to leave gratuity. I probably won't be coming back here but for $50, it was worth a try. read more

I love the ambience so I am going back bc made the mistake of buying 5 massage package after first visit. Now having a difficult time scheduling bc they already have my $$. So no Mimi or Sanga!
