Supreme Concrete recently completed an outstanding driveway project at my home. This was much more involved than simply replacing my 43-year-old cracked driveway. They widened my two-car driveway by approximately 25 inches on the garden side and 38 inches on the lawn side. This required removing and relocating irrigation lines and sprinkler heads, which was no small task. On the garden side, they also constructed a curb because the remaining garden area is higher than the driveway. The original driveway was only four inches thick and had no reinforcing steel. Supreme poured the new driveway approximately five to five-and-a-half inches thick and installed a rebar grid spaced about every 18 inches. They also installed a proper sewer cleanout cover over the existing cleanout pipe. This was the second project I hired Supreme Concrete to complete. The first was replacing three concrete sidewalk panels. They did such an excellent job on that smaller project that I had no hesitation hiring them for the much larger driveway project. What makes this company so special is the owner, Jose, along with his crew and the excellent equipment he provides for them. Jose prepares his bids and directs his crew with the expectation that the work will be completed above code and as close to perfection as possible. During the two-day driveway project, Jose repeatedly asked whether I was satisfied with the work and whether there was anything else that needed attention. His concern continued even after the main job was finished. I mentioned that one sprinkler head was about an inch too high and that the outlet for a yard drainpipe could have been positioned better. Jose sent a crew member back on a third day to correct both items. The worker also removed a large pile of dirt that was not Supreme Concrete's responsibility. The crew was exceptional. I counted eight workers, and because I am retired, I was able to sit in my garage and watch them work for several hours. Their movements appeared almost choreographed. Everyone knew exactly what needed to be done, and they worked together efficiently and professionally. Each crew member appeared to take great pride in doing the job correctly. It was genuinely enjoyable and impressive to watch them work. Their teamwork is clearly a reflection of the close-knit group Jose has developed and supervises. I cannot adequately describe how pleased I was with every member of the crew. Jose has also equipped his employees with excellent machinery and tools, including trucks, backhoes, and seemingly every other piece of equipment needed to complete the work efficiently and properly. If you have a concrete project and need a dependable contractor, I do not believe you can do better than Jose and Supreme Concrete. I recommend them without hesitation. read more

The City of San Diego told me I had to replace my sidewalk because I had asked the City to put on an asphalt patch where an edge was raveling. I called Supreme Concrete. Their office manager, ChristieAnne, made it so easy to fill out the forms needed by the City and schedule the work. Lost, confused, and angry I reached out to many concrete companies trying to navigate the, "safe sidewalk," program with a deadline of 4 months. My fiancée and I just bought a new house over in El Cajon, CA. The driveway and garage floor came pre-cracked for us and we were told that it causes heavy flooding during the rainy season. This was proven by the garage's wooden frame having water damage/dry rot. Immediately, we reached out to Supreme Concrete asking for help. José, the owner of the company, came out to our property as soon as he could to check out the problem himself. He was able to assess and determine that we had a sloping issue that didn't allow for water drainage. José then gave us 2 different quotes; 1 for replacing the concrete like we asked and 1 for replacing the concrete as well as adding in a drainage system to prevent the issue from reoccurring. On day 1 of the project, José came early and decided to bring an extra tool along with him to measure the fall of the driveway to see if we were able to save money with the drainage system (we were!). He wanted to ensure we were able to get the best price while still have a high-quality drain. José's crew showed up shortly after and started prepping. They were able to remove all of the concrete before noon using their CAT and ensured we were kept in the loop during the whole process over the days to come. Not only did José and his crew show professionalism, they made it easy to tell that they had the experience to do everything correctly. You could tell that their team was strongly bonded as well due to their smiles that showed they were happy to be working on our home. Our project ended up taking only 3 days (originally scheduled for 5 days), ended up being cheaper than our original quote, and held up well! We were terrified due to a storm during the evening of the cement pouring, but it (and the new drain) held up well! We will 100% hire them again if we have any more projects they can help us with. read more
