My hubby and I came here for dinner last night. Place was full and loved the atmosphere. The restaurant was bright and modern. It was a treat to watch the kitchen make the dumplings. Our server Kim, was sweet and very attentive. We ordered several entrees: -Supreme pork xiao long bao- 10/10 - very tasty and juicy -spicy pork wonton - 10/10 - spicy, flavorful -braised beef shank - 9/10 - tender but a little dry -Szechuan chili oil chicken (cold dish) - 10/10 - spicy, nutty and refreshing. It was delicious! -garlic mushroom broccolini- 10/10 - it was fresh and great addition to the rest of the meal -onyx golden lava custard bun - 10/10 - Yummy!!! Must have! Warm custardy goodness!!! Loved it! If you visit Hawai'i, this place is a great sit down restaurant to enjoy good food. Reservation is a must 2-3 days before your desired date.
Definitely come in with an open mind - especially if you've been to Din Tai Fung, Tim Ho Wan, etc. The food was alright, the chocolate xiao long bao was my favorite dish. It was 4pm and they ran out of all the milk tea besides the Japanese Milk Tea - it tasted like it came straight out of the can. The service definitely needs improvement. Granted, he was doubling as a bartender and was busy with that too but we felt very dismissed. It was a struggle just to order napkins and spare utensils.
Okay, but not great to want to come back. The Supreme pork Xiao long bao was the best, lot of soupy juice, none of them come of broken or leaking. The Shanghai scallion noodles was good but tiny portion. And the rest was not so good. The crab and pork bao has a strange taste that I don't like, the Szechuan bao was very spicy and that's all you can taste. Many of them came of already broken, leaking. The beef and pork flatter has 1/3 tofu, which the platter was not named after, and the pork was too fat not well marinated, only the beef was acceptable. The service of ok, but they might have hired too many servers that 3 of them just stand next to our table joking and laughing most of time, disturbing. Not excited about this place enough that we would have any desire to come back. By the way, it is LOUD inside.
Food and service was fast! Our server was Heidi and she was pleasant. We ended up ordering Pork chop fried rice, Mini pan fried pork dumpling, XLB assortment pork, Wagyu XLB, String bean, Cucumber, Tan tan noodle, Chocolate XLB and a kids meal for my 1.5 year old. Inside is clean, modern, pretty spacious. I took down 3 stars due to no one answering the phones when trying to contact them.
Trendy dumpling place in Ala Moana! We made a reservation 1.5 months in advance for noon on a Saturday. As we were leaving we heard the staff telling someone it would be a 2-hour wait for walk-ins. Food - 4/5 We got the pork chop fried rice, scallion noodles, assorted XLB, and original XLB. The pork chop was amazing and tender! The noodles were pretty standard. Among the XLB, the truffle (black) and chicken (yellow) ones were our favorite. The vegetarian (green) ones were a bit too earthy for us. Service - 5/5 Our server was very efficient! Our food also came out very quickly. Ambiance - 5/5 Fancy vibes. I think there was some kind of mouth-washing (?) station in the bathroom haha?

Wow -- I finally got to try this place after the mad rush of the grand opening. We ordered the pork xiao long bao (soup dumplings), the black truffle and chicken xiao long bao, braised beef noodle soup, Shanghai scallion oil noodle, spicy cucumber salad, and mushroom garlic broccolini. Wow. Lots of foods and lots of flavors. We were absolutely stuffed, but at the last minute we decided to try the matcha lava xiao long bao for dessert. Everything tasted great, and the restaurant has such a light and open atmosphere. Very open and modern and inviting. Our server, Lily, was very knowledgeable about the menu and had answers to all our questions. She had plenty of recommendations and was very kind. It was hard to get a reservation in the first few weeks after they opened. They have a waitlist, but even if it's a long wait (they told me it was an hour and a half wait once) at least you have all the other shopping in the mall to pass the time.
I was able to get a reservation a week out simply by going to the restaurant in person to make a reservation for the next week. The ambiance is quite nice and there's a big window where you can see the workers making the dumplings. But if that was to give us reassurance that each dumpling was the same size...then umm...not quite. As you can see in my dumplings picture later. The staff think are still learning so they are unsure what's on the menu. And didn't even offer us a kids menu until we saw it from another table and asked for it. One of those mantao buns costed $4!!!! When we looked at the menu I would say 80% of the items weren't available. We could only order their regular pork and vegetarian ones since we don't like spicy. The pork from the dumplings tasted a bit sweet to me. Skin was thin enough but each one was just a tad different in size. The shrimp wonton noodle soup - I could only taste pepper in the fillings. The soup and noodles were pretty bland. The pineapple fried rice - very nicely presented and I could taste a hit of curry in it. They also added pork some pork floss on top to give it a bit of a texture. Very few pineapples. The garlic cabbage - not anything special and tasted like what I could make at home. I am not convinced that this is actually Taiwanese cabbage as it doesn't really have the sweetness. The Shanghainese scallion oil noodles - was probably one of the better dishes in terms of flavor. You mix it all together but it was a bit salty and also a tad sweet in my opinion. The pork chop noodles - the pork chop was well fried but it seemed a tad burned? But it was also paired with the bland soup noodles again. The dessert dumpling - it felt like the dumpling wasn't fully steamed and tasted starchy. The sesame paste inside also tasted like canned sesame paste. I was hoping it would be more aromatic and flavorful. The garlic string beans - this was the most disappointing dish. Very bland and tasted like boiled string beans at some random American cafeteria.
Came here for the first time with a friend and honestly the food was just okay and the highlight of the food we got for both of us was the Chocolate Xiao Long Bao everything else we just ate enough so we wouldn't seem wasteful. Other than that the restaurant looks nice but for the price you could definitely get better Chinese food elsewhere.
We made reservations a month in advance for a busy Saturday afternoon. Located next door to Shabuya, the aesthetics of this new restaurant is gorgeous! Crisp just comfy, spacious seating. Our server, Steven greeted us warmly with a quick run down of the menu, including his favorites. His suggestions didn't disappoint! Honey walnut shrimp, cucumber salad, braised pork belly for starters. Super tasty! We added in some spicy dumplings, pan-fried pork dumplings & the pork chop fried rice. Boy oh boy! This didn't disappoint! We rounded off our meal with some chocolate dumplings & brown rice mochi for dessert. Ono! Service was spot on, just the right amount of attention given. Can't wait to come back & try everything else on the menu!!
I highly recommend making reservations to dine. The walk in wait was over 2 hours. Good thing it's located at Ala Moana Shopping Center, lots of options to occupy our time. The hosted texted us to make out way back when a bar top counter seating was available. Very cute, there were lots of fake plants hanging on the ceiling and walls that gave a very nice ambiance. The dumplings arrived very quickly, the shrimp was my favorite. This was my first time trying a soup dumpling and was advised to bite the dumpling over a spoon to collect the juice. Overall I really enjoyed the dumplings. Next time I would skip the beef, it tasted like it was from pandas express. Nothing special there. I did like the crunchy noodles it came with, like raw saimin. I ended up getting a take out box for the left over rice and cucumbers that weere just as yummy the next morning for lunch.
They're definitely still settling in. I sat down at 2pm on a Wednesday and they were out of the Wagyu Beef XLB, Beef Mushroom Roll, Stir-Fry String Beans, Matcha XLB, and the Onyx Golden Lava Custard Buns. Very disappointing because we wanted to try 4 of the items that were out but our waitress said they were waiting for a shipment of ingredients so we understood. Alice, our waitress, made the experience a lot more enjoyable. She was really sweet, talkative, and attentive. The ambiance of the restaurant is very cutesy, I love the interior design. The only downside to the inside of the restaurant were the bathrooms, they were very dirty and missing toilet seat covers in both stalls. We ended up only getting 2 items, one being the Supreme Pork XLB... that was very underwhelming in my opinion. The other being the Mini Pan-Fried Pork Dumplings, now that's something i'd definitely come back for. Overall I think when they have the full available menu it'll be a more enjoyable experience.
Not gonna lie, we really wanted to love Supreme Dumplings, but it fell short of our expectations. We had a party of 9 (mostly kids), and getting a reservation was very difficult. To make matters worse, many of their specialty items were sold out, so we couldn't even try the dishes we originally came for. The portions were also quite small, and we had to order multiples of each dish just to feel satisfied. In fact, the kids asked for McDonald's right after! I'd definitely be willing to give it another try if they could improve the availability of their specialty items and offer more generous portions. The restaurant was very beautifully decorated and we loved watching the dumplings getting hand wrapped. Hopefully next time will be a better experience!
Din Tai Fung (DTF) DUPE!! Honestly one of the better dupes I tried so far. XLB skin wasn't too thick (not as thin as DTF tho) and green beans were good. Cucumber salad was too spicy. Lots of desserts and drinks were sold out when we chose too around dinner time. I think a reservation is highly recommended since it's booked out of a month and busy. Since they didn't have their grand opening yet, on some days they are sold out of many things on the menu including XLB. Music can be a bit loud for older individuals, they play club like music lol. read more

Came in on Sunday, July 26 hoping for a good meal, but Supreme Dumpling fell short. Despite the 1.5 hour wait to be seated, here's the breakdown: The Good: Food came out quickly--we didn't have to wait long after ordering. Food & Drinks: A lot of menu items were out of stock. The soup dumplings were mediocre, portion sizes were small, and the water brought to the table was room temperature, not cold. Service & Auto-Gratuity: Be careful if you arrive with a group--they automatically tack on an 18% tip for parties of 6 or more, even if the service is bad. Atmosphere: Average/okay, nothing to write home about. Quick service couldn't make up for the limited menu, small portions, and mandatory tip policy. I won't be returning. Chase, our server, was incredibly warm, welcoming, and accommodating. He provided excellent recommendations and was open to discussing our dietary restrictions, such as pork. The food was delicious, and we enjoyed the Black Truffle and Chicken so much we ordered that twice. I forgot to take a photo of the Chocolate Xiao Long Bao. The service at supreme dumplings was an overall great experience. The inside of the restaurant was clean and modern, with calm music which wasn't too loud so we could still enjoy conversation between ourselves. Our waiter Eric was very friendly and checked up on us very often even though he was busy working behind the bar and helping other tables. He was able to tell what we needed before we even asked. What we ordered: Pork Xiao Long Bao: Very tasty and the wrapper to meat to soup ratio was perfect Xiao long bao assortment: Spicy(red)- a little too spicy for our tastes, but still good Chicken(yellow)- same sauce as pork XLB Crab(gold)- very tasty Truffle(black)- my favorite, a must order Wagyu(gold dusted)- it was good, but just a little underwhelming Spicy shrimp and pork wonton: I thought it was very good, but my mom thought it was pretty spicy Tan tan noodles: absolutely delicious! Finally tried Supreme Dumplings at Ala Moana Center and it did not disappoint. Two dishes really stood out for me. The Pork Chop Fried Rice was fantastic -- a huge, crispy fried pork chop sliced over egg fried rice. The chop was juicy inside with a light, crunchy coating, and the fried rice itself was fluffy and full of wok flavor. Honestly one of the best pork chop rice dishes I've had outside of Taiwan. The Dan Dan Noodles were just as good. Chewy noodles in a rich, nutty sesame-peanut sauce, topped with savory minced pork, fresh cucumber, green onions, and crushed peanuts. Great balance of creamy, savory, and a little kick of spice. I mixed everything together and finished the whole bowl. read more

From the outside, the restaurant looks like a very premium and clean place. When we sat down, our server Lily gave use the rundown of their popular dishes to try. All her recommendations tasted amazing! We wanted to try all the different dumplings, and our favorite she recommended was the Supreme Xiao Long Bao Assortment. It arrives with 2 dumplings of each flavor; Spicy, Wagyu, Chicken, Truffle, and Crab. It's great to share with the entire family. read more

Tried this place out for the first time this weekend! I was on a waitlist for about 3 weeks and finally got notified the night before of an opening. We had a party of 6 and got seated promptly at our reservation time. Ordered a little bit of everything - signature XLB, shrimp and pork XLB, mini pan-fried pork dumplings, supreme spicy pork wontons, pork chop fried rice, black pepper beef, stir fry green beans & lava custard buns for dessert. They were out of the supreme pork XLB and matcha lava XLB, which we wanted to try. We liked the flavors of everything but the portions were a bit small. If you came very hungry, you may not leave very full. Most of the food came out quickly except the lava buns took a little more time. Service was pretty good overall, our waiter came to check on us multiple times and see if we needed anything. Be aware they automatically charge 18% service fee for parties 6 and up, which is steep. The ambiance is not bad, but the music is a little loud and we had to raise our voices to hear each other. Overall, glad we got to try but wouldn't go back for a while due to the difficulty in getting a reservation, higher price, and service fee. read more

Our first visit to Supreme Dumplings at Ala Moana was amazing! My daughter and I came on a whim with no reservations, and they were kind enough to squeeze us in during the last hour of service. Our server, Steven, and everyone who came by to deliver our food were absolutely top-notch. We felt like we ordered everything on the menu, and every single dish was delicious! Just came here and they're in their soft opening stage. Host is young and inexperienced, asks the manager every time she questions herself which cuts into time management for her and the guests. their seating system and reservations are with the yelp system so you can waitlist from yelp. we walked in, talked to the host, she tells us it's a 40mins wait and we can come back when we get a text from them. As we were sat, server brings luke warm tap water in a metal pitcher and serves in a metal gold mini cup. Server explains basically they're out of half the menu. pretty disappointed but what can ya do about it right. chose 4 items and enjoyed it, except for the matcha lava xiao long bao, would skip that, too sweet and took too long to come out and just messy to eat. wonton dumplings soup with noodles was my favorite, light, savory, and easy to eat. Clean interior and modern decor which is plus! what won us over and willing to come back was the manager! as we were leaving he asked how everything was and I told him the truth about the menu and everything. he said they just restocked the pan friend dumplings and if I wanted a couple to go, on the house. I said Yes! and I can see why they were sold out during our dine-in, DELICIOUS! I'm glad the manager was very friendly and accommodating. This is our second time coming to Supreme Dumplings. Steven was our waiter BOTH times and let me tell you. He is great, he is kind, he makes you feel welcome. Answered all my questions the best he could. We ordered the pork chop fried rice, SUPER DELICIOUS! , it was crispy & tender. Stir-fried string beans w/ garlic. YUMMY! Just get it. Chinese braised pork belly. Tastes like marinated pork belly. Supreme pork xiao long bao & crab & pork xiao long bao both are good. Jasmine milk tea is delicious! Overall everything was great! Ambiance is great! Make sure to make reservations ahead of time because they do get busy. read more

Such a great dining experience! Everything we tried was packed with amazing flavor. My #1 favorite was the green beans -- seriously so delicious and probably one of the best versions I've had! The beef roll was also incredible, followed by the tan tan noodles and the spicy cucumber. Every dish had its own unique flavor and everything tasted so fresh and well-balanced. SERVICE: friendly n' server checked up on us frequently INTERIOR: modern, spacious - could easily fit stroller, good amount of seating EXTERIOR: located at the Ala Moana Center on the 2nd floor next door to Shabuya WAIT TIME: made reservations prior, seated under 5 mins after arrival PARKING: free garage OVERALL COMMENTS: came for the Signature XL Assortment however, was told it was unavailable even though they did have the items to make it. Had to order them as individual servings instead (thank you to our server who tried asking the mgr). Was also notified the two desserts that I had my heart set on, the Matcha Lava n' Chocolate Melt, were not available since July 4th. I promised my son chocolate dumplings beforehand so that was a bummer. The Black Truffle & Chicken n' the Crab & Pork didn't come in their signature colored wrapper bc they ran out of it too. Aside from all the unavailability, all the soup dumplings were good n' very flavorful that I dipped with the soy sauce/vinegar/chili oil that we mixed together. The brown sugar mochi rice cakes were a nice sweet way to end our meal. This is a kid-friendly restaurant where they have high chairs, a kids menu, n' coloring sheet to keep the keiki busy. DO NOT CALL THEIR PHONE NUMBER LISTED ON YELP OR GOOGLE, IT IS NOT REAL! So yeah, I've tried to call like three times before dining here and they never picked up, so I asked the hostess when I went in like what's up with that and she said that they don't actually have a phone number. Not gonna lie, I think setting a phone number if you're a national chain like Supreme Dumplings is the first thing you do. They were sold out of the truffle chicken xlb, the chocolate xlb, matcha xlb, and the taro xlb. We got the spicy pork xlb, broccolini, wagyu xlb, and chicken xlb. A little sad that the website and menu photos didn't look like the real thing, biggest difference was the menu pictured a very round dumpling and ours were more trapezoid shaped. If you order soup dumplings here, get the spicy pork. The chicken and wagyu ones tasted pretty bland even with adding chili oil and sauce. I honestly wish they just get a phone set up because then I could call in ahead to see if they have in stock the food I actually want to try. This would be a zero star review except yelp doesn't let you do that and because Steven our server was really nice. This was my first time coming to Supreme Dumplings and the food was wonderful. We ordered the Signature Xiao Long Bao Assortment (XLB) which included the Szechuan Spicy Pork Xiao Long Bao, Shrimp and Pork XLB, Crab and Pork XLB, Black Truffle and Chicken XLB, and Wagyu XLB, the Supreme Spicy Pork Wontons, Chinese Braised Pork Belly, Stir-Fry String Beans with Garlic, Mushroom Garlic Broccolini, and the Chocolate Melt XLB for desert. The Xiao Long Bao were favorful and hot so be careful those of yall who have a gentle tongue. The hit of the assortment was without a doubt the Szechuan Spicy Pork Xiao Long Bao as it was spicy, carried deep umami tones, and had a flavor that lingered in all the right ways. In terms of the the other items ordered, the string beans are a hit! Absolutely loved the combination of salty, umami, and slight bitterness from the mushrooms and string beans. If you're curious about the service, Heidi has you handled. She was attentive, well-informed, and had wonderful attention to detail when we brought up any needs or requests. I'll definitely be back again. My wallet though...may not appreciate it. read more

I loved the atmosphere, very tasteful interior and furniture. We opted to try the assorted soup dumplings along side their signature pork soup dumplings, mini chive pies, mushroom fried rice and hot sour soup. The assorted dumplings were good, nothing too crazy in terms of standoutish flavors or anything. The wagyu dumplings we ok, the soup inside was very tasteful but the "wagyu" just tasted like beef to me. The szechuan spicy pork dumplings (red ones) were pretty spice, the truffle dumpling was very truffley, and the chicken dumplings were ok for us. The Crab & Chicken was alright for us. Don't get me wrong, they all tasted good but honestly we enjoyed their signature pork dumplings the most, their signature dumplings were very enjoyable, they were "Xiao Long Baos". The chive pies were good as well, very crispy and flavorful. The mushroom fried rice was one of our most enjoyed that night. Very good mushroom flavors, a bit salty so if you're sensitive to salt it may be a bit. It was ok for us but it did taste a bit salty. We enjoyed the hot sour soup as well. It was good. Service was top notch, Rae our server was very attentive and very helpful in answering any questions we had or info on the menu. Oh yeah, we also had the matcha lava dumplings. Man if you like matcha you NEED to get these, they were a flavor bomb of warm creamy matcha goodness. I'm not a huge matcha fan so to me it felt like I could only eat one or two of these lol but I really like the matchaness. We are planning to return to try more dishes from the menu. read more

We have been wanting to try this new place for awhile and glad we did. It was very different and for the most part, most dishes were tasty. We were acquainted to the menu by Lilly, our server who explained and highlighted popular items. We ended up ordering the Signature XLB assortment, shrimp and pork wontons, pork chop fried rice, Szechuan Chili oil chicken, and a spicy cucumber salad which they were promoting for $1.00 if you complete a survey. I would pass on it. The XLB assortment was a great way to get a taste of the various offerings. The shrimp and pork wontons were hot and delicious. We did not care for the pork chop fried rice as the pork chop pieces were dry and the salad was just spicy pieces of cucumber. We both enjoyed the Szechuan chili oil chicken. It was a cold dish with great flavor! Water is served when seated and a fancy pitcher is left at the table so you can pour your own. The unfortunate part was that the water served was not cold so I had to wait to catch a servers attention to ask for ice as I dislike drinking water at room temperature. It was a good experience and glad we had a chance to come here. read more
Service staff are very friendly, accommodating and pleasant to interact with. The decor inside the restraunt is nicely lighted, open and a welcome feeling. The flavors of the dumplings are tasty, but the size of dumplings are small. Six miniature dumplings per order_small appetizer portions. I believe the cost for these baos are over priced. The wagyu beef bao was not worth $16. A teaspoon of chopped beef encased with a liquid broth in a very thin noodle wrap. My best worthwhile dish was the supreme tan tan noodle. Rich creamy and savory sauce with an excellent touch of spicy hotness. Several dishes were not available such as the Signature XLB assortment and crab/pork bao. The food was great! Service was great! It is reservation only at the moment, luckily we walked in at around 5pm and were able to get a 2 person table. I was really looking forward to the chocolate dumplings, but unfortunately they ran out of it a few days prior. But the Matcha Dessert dumplings were still really good. They are currently only doing a "soft opening" so that's why they have been running out of a few things. But definitely will be back when they are fully open and are on all 4 wheels. Hopefully more reservations will be available, when I looked they were booked out for a while. The dumplings were very good and had lots of yummy vegetarian options! We waited almost 2 months for our 7:45pm reservations this evening. We got seated on time. Restrooms we a little small but very clean. Restaurant was very clean and cool how you can see the cooks making the dumplings. Our waiter Steven was absolutely great! He went throughly over the menu and told us his favorites (which we ordered). We no NO left overs, every single bite melted in my mouth wanting more even though I was so full already. Our waiter would check in periodically which was nice because there was no wasted time. We already made our reservation for our next date night! read more

Yes but there is typically at least an hour wait except for the slower times
