Whenever you need help, employees seem to actively avoid making eye contact with you. If they hate their jobs and their customers this much, they would probably be better off quitting. I've been shopping at this Safeway for three years, and I have never experienced customer service this consistently unpleasant. The 2.7 Yelp rating honestly doesn't surprise me at all.

However, she immediately followed that by saying it was still up to the bakery staff and that they could make me wait until 5:00 PM if they wanted to because that was my scheduled pickup time. She also mentioned that people are always trying to do this. It ended up being a long and frustrating conversation, and I still didn't have a clear answer. Then I called the Dublin location and spoke with Amber. What a difference! She was kind, understanding, and genuinely focused on helping me. She immediately reassured me that the cake would be ready earlier in the day and that I could come pick it up when I needed it. She even explained customization options for the cake that I didn't know were available. Amber made the entire process easy and stress-free. I am so grateful for her flexibility, professionalism, and willingness to help. They will look up an item for you and let you know when it will be restocked or if it is discontinued.
