Surefoot Snowmass was great! I was replacing old boots I had bought from Surefoot. Russell took care of me and understood what I wanted/needed without trying to oversell. Great boot fitting technology is cutting edge. Also connected to global stores if you need tweaks. Snowmass store is bettter than the one in Aspen imho. read more

Interesting to read all of the negative reviews here. I was referred here after I was having trouble with circulation in my boots. Troy was very friendly and never tried to sell me on anything. I left my boots with him so they could be "warmed in the oven" and the liner molded to my foot. After picking up the boots Troy's co-worker who I believe was the owner simply asked for a $30 tip in the "tip boot". Pretty sure other outfits would have charged me a lot more and tried to sell me on new boots. Thanks Surefoot! read more

The team tweaked my 4-year old Surefoot custom boots, they were fine but now hurt! They simply swapped me out of the injection old boot into a new standard boot - no charge. LOVE the new boot, and super happy Surefoot stood behind their guaranty! read more

Chain with a great pitch. Just for fun, walk in and ask them a question about your boots. I got a dollar that says they say you need new boots, no matter what the problem is. THe most transparently-greedy place I've been in. Admittedly many people are happy with the results, but there is better out there (hence tow stars and not one). My "credential:" I was on the race crew (pacesetter, I can actually ski) in this town for years and have been on and off the mall since the late 60's -- so I'm not a total newbie but neither am I the greatest. Buying $1100 custom boots from Surefoot, or "Sorefoot," as many of the ski instructors call it, is easily the worst purchase I have ever made in my life. For two ski seasons, I've had to constantly return to the store after skiing in incredible pain so that they could try to 'fix' my boots. Surefoot eventually decided to swap my boots out with standard liners and shells worth half the original cost of the custom boots. The only uncomfortable part about the new boots is the expensive Surefoot orthotic- the only part that surefoot actually made. I got the boots at the same time as my brother who had similar issues. We found out recently that the replacement non-custom boot he had gotten wasn't even a new boot. They gave him another disgruntled customers old, already skied on, already modified in certain parts, used boot. Don't waste your money, don't ruin your ski trip, and don't hurt your feet. Go literally anywhere else besides surefoot. read more

I was so nervous spending so much money on ski boots since I ski once a year, but in the past I stopped skiing early because my feet hurt so bad. Louis (hope I spelled that right) helped me and he was amazing! I skied so much better with no pain. I did come in twice to have some very minor adjustments and they were so nice about fixing it, even though I felt bad about complaining about the smallest things. Money well spent :) read more

Do not by any means give these guys business. Under their watch I had 11k worth of ski equipment and clothing stolen. I was falsely convinced to allow an employee R -- clearly strapped for cash and rent -- to pay upfront for my boots the day before the actual final fitting... I kindly complied. He convinced me it worth it to go back to Snowmass before my flight the next day to finish the sale with him rather than go to Aspen, which was closer to me. I wanted to help. He needed commission. I even hugged him. He proclaimed there was infighting at the company and bad blood. I witnessed it... as well as employees who wreaked of booze... and should have heeded. He offered to ship my boots and all ski equipment if I came back before my flight, knowing it was tight. I thought at the time -- how incredible! What customer service!! I even hugged him. I am a high powered marketing exec... I trusted these people. My friend had referred me. Well, quite the opposite. All of my ski gear -- and I am a big skier and loyalist to all mountains in NA and have a curated body of ski garb -- was "stolen" overnight bc, according to the manager M, it had been left outside and "walked away." I only learned this when I called 4 days later to ask for tracking info. Since then, the company went dark on me... corporate included. Appalling. I have 2 police reports issued on them, no compliance regarding their insurance company helping even though I have proof that they were liable. Voicemails and personal recordings. Zilch from them. Fraudulent behavior?? Seems quite shady to me. If justice is not served here I will file a lawsuit and tap my government ties, of which I have MANY. Not the right person to steal from, or to allow it to happen under your eye, Surefoot. Good luck to you in the decade ahead. Make a move to do what's right. And for what it's worth, I have eyes on eBay, every thrift store acrosa the US, and tracking on the mountain collective pass that was also stolen. I have had my Surefoot boots for about 6 years now. My wife and daughter also have Surefoot boots. We are all very satisfied. They are definitely not cheap, but custom boots will make a bigger difference in your skiing than any other single adjustment. There are other custom bootfitters out there, but what makes Surefoot special is that they are located at all the major resorts and you can walk into any one to get an adjustment if your boots don't feel right. Most people need a series of adjustments over the first year or two in order to get their boots just right. This is a huge advantage over going to your local bootfitter since you have to go back to the same person/shop if you ever need an adjustment. I like how even the 2-star reviewer notes that "Admittedly, many people are happy with the results". If you can afford the investment - I highly recommend using Surefoot. Four stars rather than 5 since not everyone I know has had as good of an outcome as we have and they will work very hard to adjust the boots they make you before being willing to give you a new pair. They promise new boots if the ones they make you are not comfortable. You need to push for your rights. read more

Nice guys, but bad business in my opinion. I took my wife in and was setting her up for custom boots. She was quoted a whopping $1,050 for custom boots, but I did not mind. It is ok to pay a little more than market if it makes her happy. I leave and go skiing and we meet up later. The receipt is for $1,293.83. Apparently they decided that $1,050 was not enough and charged $100 more for the boots and fitting. When we called, they said they would send an adjusted receipt. They did, but it was somebody else's receipt for a lower amount from 2 months earlier. When I emailed to express my displeasure, they said they would give me $100 off another boot fitting. Really? You misquote and will not make an adjustment? It's ok. I disputed the difference with American Express and feel confident that I will prevail. Meanwhile, how shortsighted of them. I need boots for 2 more family members and would never go back. Foolish management in my opinion read more

I had purchased boots from Surefoot on one of my previous trips. This year the boots really bothered my shins. Austin and his staff worked with me and eventually put me in a new boot. I am now skiing pain-free and couldn't be happier. Thank you to all the Surefoot staff and to Piggy the French Bulldog mascot! You all are awesome!! read more
