She had mentioned something about candy so I asked what that was (to not have it added) and she explained it was on the straw. Ok. Geev um, I goin try someting new. I waited in the air conditioned shop while she blended it right up. She handed it to me with napkins and an additional non-candy straw. Which made sense as I tried to use the candy straw and I guess it's stuck full of candy? As it didn't work I added the second straw and BAM! Flavor! It's not too sweet. It's not too li hing mui salty. I can taste the mango. And it's really refreshing. My new fav summer drink!

Now everything is a little more expensive and the rewards don't feel rewarding. The tipping point that made me write an update is that they charge almost full price for drip coffee refills. Even starbucks offers refills on regular old black coffee. My husband used to enjoy going in to work on college or read so it was sad to not be able to refill his coffee. The espresso is still good (usually) and the pastries are good. The food items are also tasty. The seating and overall vibe is wonderful, and the workers are nice (the older staff are my fave tho!). They are still my favorite for a london fog, but I stop by less often now.

We had to follow up and remind them a couple of times for our orders: 1) We ordered a breakfast burrito and the worker forgot to put it in the oven to heat it up. It was sitting on the counter for a while, and we had to point it out to them. 2) They didn't start our waffle order right away, and we had to follow up for them to get started on it. They stated that the waffle was "going" but it was obvious that they only started working on it when we followed up. We went on a Sunday morning, and it was not busy at all. We were there for about 40 minutes waiting for the burrito and the waffle. I am generally a very patient person and would understand that mistakes can happen when there's multiple orders and things going on, but aside from one other customer who received her order pretty quickly, it was just us there so it was honestly super disappointing.

After 40 minutes waiting we left. Super disappointed since we had this place on our bucket list. But won't be coming back.
