Great drinks, service, prices and environment. Perfect for sports or just hanging out. If you like weak drinks, don't go here. Cash only! Cheers

I discovered this place thanks to my friends Faco and Stolowitz who've got me doing trivia there every Monday. I was fresh off a flight from Hawaii so it's perfect. This is the only place I order fancy drinks . Every week I try something new . I tried the s'mores it was good. That grasshopper tho who's that was really good. They make a great Hawaiian blue and volcano too, I love the mai tai too. I miss Joey. He was a great bartender. Hey man they've still got some super great ones . Well the one guy there is awesome, dang I forgot His name. They've had some great comedy here too at times. Shout out to Honoton. The parking is great . There's a beach close by to walk it off if you're tipsy too. The drinks are priced great and they give you Your moneys worth. The crowd here is great too. I knew none of the customers but they've made me feel like fam.

What an absolute gem and a hidden treasure that reminded us of how the San Francisco Bay Area used to be! The Surf Lounge is a fantastic throwback for those of us who loved the Bay Area when it was grounded and friendly, when people were civil to one another, and when we all knew how to have a good time together! It was at the tail end of a visit to see friends and family in the Bay Area when a friend suggested we meet at the nearby Camelot fish and chips shop in Pacifica. We thought we'd escape the city after she was due to meet a client in Pacifica. After we were thrown out of yet another place for staying past closing and wanting to keep talking, we were referred to a bar along the mall. Upon entering, it looked slightly rough on the edges, but we were put at ease immediately when we saw a group of folks who were clearly having a great time, as we heard songs that took us back to our childhoods. We happened to stumble in on Karaoke Tuesday and everyone was getting involved. The drinks were reasonably priced, everyone was supportive of those singing (regardless of how suited they were or not for America's Got Talent) and there was an expansive back patio area. Adding to the fun mix of people, the interiors were a warm combination of the local charm and a tiki lounge. Since it was a school night for us, it took every ounce of discipline to keep from singing, getting completely hammered, and making a night of it. For the next visit, this will be a fun stop and we can only imagine how fun it'd be on a weekend with nice weather. A thumbs up for a lovely venue in Pacifica that's got a fantastic San Francisco vibe for those who remember when the Bohemian city was at its height.

This place is INCREDIBLE!! The BEST michelada I've ever had at a bar, they have a grasshopper mint chip milk shake that's to die for! They're priced well & they pour heavy! The vibes are amazing, it feels like home here I absolutely love it here so glad I found this place

The greeters were pleasant, with seating also instant, with some view of the Pacific Ocean. We were a party of three (my wife, her cousin, and I). We all ordered the open-faced crab sandwich with clam chowder. All items were totally on point (well prepared, delicious, and on point). The oysters on the half shell were tasty too. No cocktails; we opted for soft drinks. The service was attentive, and we lacked for nothing. My only observation was the bill came to over $320 with tip for three sandwiches (I have eaten at higher-end places many times, but fine dining has gotten a bit pricey). With rights to stroll on the beach after the meal if you wish, part of what you get is the experience. Still, I recommend Nick's for a very special meal with folks you care about. (Bring a jacket if you spend any time outside. )

We waked into a large dark wood ala refurbished 1970s interior restaurant with plenty of half circle booths, large tables for groups and bar and dace floor that seems to be available for live music. We came on what looked like and felt like a locals regular night full of families and well dressed seniors. I hate being seated by a busser station or kitchen listening to the noise or the staff thinking they can talk crap about customers because they are stacking dishes or running a credit card but that is exactly what happened. Being hangery (hungry-angry) makes us change our dining standards. This being said we had to listen to the young staff's complaining. My partner ordered and received a large seafood salad and I ordered fish and chips. My food tasted like a large refrigerator Orida fish patty that was fried and large slices of potatoes that came out of the same oil. Being from the San Francisco bay area I compare all my sea food to that and have to say that I was greatly disappointed with the lack of taste even though I see that it was "handmade beer batter" dish. Unfortunately, I dont have too many positive things to say about this place except it is a good place to cure hugry.

We had heard such great things about Hula Hoops and were excited to come for Mother's Day brunch. When we arrived Sunday morning, we were seated right away, which was great. However, our party of six was seated with only three food menus and five drink menus. I asked our waitress if we could get additional menus for the rest of the table, and she explained they had run out and were waiting for other guests to finish with theirs. We ended up asking if there was a QR code version we could scan, and she brought one over. I was mostly confused why the QR code wasn't offered immediately, knowing half the table didn't have menus to begin with. It just made the start of the experience feel a little disorganized. That said, there were definitely some positives. The sparkling cider for Mother's Day brunch was a really nice touch, and the Shanghai lumpia was fantastic. I ordered the two-protein silog breakfast with eggs, and while the flavors were good, the single scoop of rice just didn't feel proportionate to the rest of the plate. Any Filipino knows you need a little more rice to balance everything out, so I ended up not finishing my meal because it felt off portion-wise. My son ordered the cheese omelet and said it wasn't his favorite, especially the potatoes. The ube waffles were really yummy though, and my husband enjoyed the sisig tater tots. Overall, I'm glad we finally got to try Hula Hoops after hearing so many good things, but unfortunately it didn't quite live up to the hype for us, and I don't think we'd return.

I thoroughly believe their crab sandwich is better than Fisherman's Wharf and better than New England Lobster company in Burlingame. And cheaper too. They only have a certain number a day, not sure how many, but people have been buying them so they keep running out. It's real crab folks. Not fillers. Not junk. It is with sadness that I write this update…read more My visit there this past weekend was without a doubt the most depressing restaurant experience of all my many years of dining out. It's always been a dated space, but it has crossed over into musty and dirty. It didn't help that the place was also deserted. I felt like I was in a movie scene where the protagonist wanders into a deserted roadside cafe to order coffee and a sandwich from a rough-talking waitress and the only sound in the otherwise empty restaurant is the incessant droning of a ballgame from the ancient TV (hmm...that's kind of almost exactly what happened). This was mid-day on a Sunday when it used to be a hopping time for them. Granted, it was between Christmas and New Year's, but I suspect another part of it is that they no longer serve breakfast. Their breakfasts were hearty and delicious and a big weekend draw; sadly, the breakfast chef (I think he may have been one of the owners or the father of the current owner) passed away two years ago and breakfast was taken off the menu. I gave two stars because my sandwich and fries were still good, but I highly doubt I'll be back, ever. There doesn't seem to be any effort at all to create an inviting or even clean atmosphere. I remember being surrounded by other diners and hearing the happy chatter of families celebrating birthdays. Is it different at dinnertime? Possibly, but I just can't see how.
