This place has a nice island vibe where you can eat indoors or outdoors. We were doubting if we were going to be seated anytime soon since it was Father's Day, but we ended up being seated right away in the tiki room. Also, our server was great, kept on checking on us, giving us suggestions, and entertaining us with some magic tricks. From our server's recommendations, we ended up getting the Lapu Lapu, Mochiko Chicken Loco Moco, Kamehameha BBQ Chicken, Sisig Fried Rice, and Poke Nachos, Ubemisu, and Ube Bars. The Lapu Lapu is a sweet and refreshing drink, definitely something you will like if you want something sweet instead of strong. The Mochiko Chicken Loco Moco was really good. You get the taste of Beef Loco Moco in chicken form. The Chicken also added more of a crunchy texture from the crispy skin while having very moist meat. The Kamehameha BBQ Chicken was also tasty, with the moist meat. The Sisig Fried Rice was really good, being moist and had plenty of Sisig. The Poke Nachos had a decent amount of Poke and Avacado, and had a nice crunch with the Wanton Chips. The Ubemisu was a crowd favorite. I thought it was not going to taste like Ube because of the light color of the Cream, but I was glad to be wrong. It was very moist and thankfully had good Ube flavor. The Ube Bars were not bad. Also, could taste the Ube, but was more dense and just found the Ubemisu better. Overall, great food and service. Definitely would come back here again to try more delicious treats.

Reserved on open table for 3:30 pm but since it was traffic, I can't modify my reservation online but it prompted me to call. I was able to get hold of someone & took note of it then hang up without asking for my name. Anyhow, we made it after 15 mins, we got seated bec the place is almost empty. Food is good, a great fusion of filipino & polynesian. Place is small, bet it'll be crowded if full. Service is quick & servings is just enough.

Six of us came to dinner at 6pm on a Saturday night. We didn't know they would have live music. It was hard to talk over the live entertainment. We ordered family style and shared all the dishes. I had a pineapple martini. It was tart just the way I like it. We shared spam fries, sisig fried rice, whole squid, a large short rib with kimchee fried rice, chicken kaarage loco moco, island wings and brussel sprouts. Everything was a little small and pricey. Only about 8 pieces of spam fries in the container. The large squid was actually really good. We also enjoyed the short rib to a tune of $40. Make sure you pay in cash. If you use a credit card they add on 3% service

Went to Hula Hoops in South San Francisco for happy hour with a friend and it was a solid time. We got the Ube Martini and a Mai Tai, both really good and easy to sip on while snacking. For food we kind of went all in on happy hour items: Shanghai lumpia, cheesy tots, truffle fries, kalua pork sliders, and spam musubi. Everything was actually really good and for happy hour pricing it felt like a great deal. Shoutout to our server Maddy who was super sweet and really on it the whole time. Made the experience way better. Only thing that felt a little off was the vibe. I expected more Hawaiian music, but it was mostly EDM and R&B. Also the doors were open so it got pretty cold inside after a while. Overall though, I'd still come back. Good drinks, good food, and good service for a casual happy hour in the Bay.

Second time frequenting Hula Hoops and the experience was really fun, delicious and full of great vibes :) Hawaiin Filipino Brunch goodness with a twist on the fun tiki bar vibes you'd get! Our server this time around was very full of energy (wish we got her name haha) but we swear the tips she gave us for each dish..... she aced the exam basically! Bring a group for a great time with delicious filling bites! Onto the foodie review: Spam fries: GO HERE FOR THIS!! The aiolis all mixed together with salty crunchy good bites Chicken adobo / Longanisa / tocino silog combo! A classic breakfast staple with delicious garlic rice, a beautiful runny egg paired with a palette cleansing vinegar sauce! Honestly got this for my self but easily shareable with a table of 3!! Tuna Poke Nachos: Simple, beautifully plated like it's Michelin with a light sweet soy akin sauce. A great starter to the brunch!! Scorpion bowl: Their spin on a gigantic flaming fish bowl! Wow this was really strong but delicious! After the server recommended cinnamon (made the drink look ugly so take a photo for the gram sbforehand hah). It definitely changed the profile to mask the alcohol wowww!!!

Came here on a Monday night and it was a pretty easy, relaxed dinner. Parking is super convenient since it's in a large plaza. The interior at Hula Hoops is really beautiful. It's bright, tropical, and full of vibrant menu photos that make everything look super appealing. Service was great! We ordered the spam fries, which were solid and exactly what you'd expect. The bibingka cornbread was PHENOMENAL, easily my highlight of the night. It was warm, buttery, and slightly sweet with that unique bibingka twist. The grilled squid was just okay, and the loco moco with mochiko chicken and kalua pork, especially the pork tasted amazing, but the portion felt a little small. The ube flan for dessert was decent too. Overall, it's a cute spot with fun island-inspired dishes, not everything blew us away, but it was still a nice experience. Would come back again!

Great happy hour offerings from 3-530pm week days. Plates are $6-8 average saving a few dollars each plus drink options! 5/5 Lumpia Shanghai were crispy and slightly sweet sour sauce. Really enjoyed I could inhale more 5/5 Bibingka Cornbread is a nice coconut flavor and not too sweet. Soft and delicious 4/5 Kalua Pork Sliders are like a BBQ pulled pork though sweeter flavor profile. Enjoyed the super soft Hawaiian roll 4/5 Spam Musubi was very filling and nice portion. Challenging to bite the seaweed wrapping which was a bit rubbery vs flakey 4/5 Ube Pina Colada was cute presentation and solid flavor and alcohol ratio. There were some hard bits of some ube blocks(?) not fully blended at bottom. Overall a great drink deal since the full price menu is much more Staff was friendly but not a ton of facetime. Note a 3% surcharge using credit card vs paying cash

If you love Hawaiian food, and enjoy tiki drink/cocktails, then this is the spot for you. With a nice variety of food options, and twist on traditional items, each dish is delicious and oh so satisfying. The drinks are up to par with respected tiki bars and even the beautiful visual appeal of the drinks (the artistic drinks are to the flames and dry ice smoke) are sure to bring smiles to all. Our large group decided to dine during brunch. The staff was very helpful and attentive. The food was prepared surprisingly fast. Each dish looked as amazing as it tasted. My group ordered several cocktails and drinks, although I did not try them, they each looked glorious and were spoken highly of. The order: Babinka Cornbread -A nice twist on a traditional filipino rice cake Sisig tater tots -Tater tots paired perfectly with the salty Sisig. I could eat this combo all day Trio Silog -Three different proteins (sisig, BBQ pork, longganisa) all tasty Everything I tried was delicious and everyone enjoyed their meals and drinks. Definitely a spot I recommend to try... their food, drinks, and atmosphere really do hit the island vibe cravings.

Service was great! Thank you to Sherry/Sheryl? Sorry if I misheard the name. The food was delicious too. The Boy ordered the poke bowl, which was a nicely sized portion; I'm definitely getting that for myself next time. I got the ahi poke nachos, which are really wonton chips, not tortilla chips, but it was still perfect. The Hawaiian brewed coffee was simple but so good! The aroma itself smelled so good even before I tasted it. Finally, do yourself a favor and get the tater tots too.

Another happy tummy on this island Hula Hoops will definitely be my go to spot for Açaí Berry - especially during summer. The ambiance is quaint and very relaxing, and the service is top notch. Kevin (if I remembered correctly) was our server yesterday. Father's Day. He made us feel right at home.Definitely worth coming back to and checking out if you're around the area

Second time here and it's better. Maybe because it wasn't too busy. No waiting in line. Place is still cute esp the nipa hut in the corner that can sit 5 people. Server was friendly and got our orders quick. Food was really good or maybe because we chose well. BBQ pork silog was the bomb..too bad the longanisa came with a combo, would have preferred just that. Drinks were on point. The star of the show is the ube pancakes. It was creamy and you can really taste the ube in the pancakes. Too bad the pancakes were small and only came as a 3 stack 4 stars because yes, it was pretty pricey $$$

We were heading up to San Francisco and wanted to eat before. We walked in for breakfast on a weekend. There was one other table there. We got the Cornbread, Bbq Pork and Kalua Pork Loco. The Bibingka Cornbread was our Fav. My husband liked his Loco Moco, said they did the eggs right. Portions were just ok. Overall not bad for breakkie. Inside has Hawaii vibes. Service was nice. Private lot in front too

Anyone with chronic back pain knows that sometimes you just need two minutes to lie flat to reset the spine. Since we had already been waiting about an hour for our food, I stepped away to lay down on the front bench for a quick recovery. Instead of a manager checking to see if a guest was okay, a staff member named Shrami approached me. Without even asking what was wrong, he aggressively insisted I get off the bench right away. Even after I explained I was experiencing medical pain and just needed two minutes, he completely lacked any human empathy and refused to listen. The way I was treated made me feel dehumanized and cast aside, as if my physical well-being didn't matter as long as I wasn't "disrupting" the aesthetic of the business. We are all human, and a little basic compassion goes a long way. To top it off, the food and drinks are overpriced for what you get, and the live band was just mediocre. Between the long wait times, overpriced menu, and the completely cold, disrespectful management, I will absolutely not be returning.
