First time stopping here and overall it was worth it. There are three washes to choose from that range from $8-$14. I picked the $14 because my car was filthy. The cashier was very nice and said if the wash misses some of the spots they will send you back through. After getting the wash I parked over by the vacuums which are so convenient. Great power and you may use them for as long as you want. I noticed there were some spots of dirt on the hood and went back around and told the cashier. She sent me back through without any questions as she could see the spots as well. For $14 I would say it was worth it. read more

Seems when it is busy cars are cattled through and neither wash nor rinse make the cut......but typically it is okay. When it is busy the employees might want to tell customers to pull up and not leave a lot of space between cars. read more

Hi, I just wanted to share the amazing experience I just had there today with a Robert. He came to my rescue when I locked my keys and phone in my car while vacuuming it out. I asked to borrow a phone to call for help and he jumped into action and got my keys out for me! I'm so thankful for his kindness and blown away by his generosity. I know it would have taken a locksmith an hour or more to get to me, so I'm forever grateful that he was able to help me without having to wait. Today the passenger side, upper vertical brush was not working. I like this carwash. It's in my traffic pattern, it's usually pretty fast, and does an ok job. But it needs to be operating at 100%. read more

This is a quick and easy place to get your car washed! I've been here a few times and I always get the ultimate wash and my car looks brand new. You also get a free car sent with it! I just say I felt like the air dryers at the end of the wash used to be better and dried off your car better when they first opened. I now have to bring in a towel and finish drying on my own but the unlimited vacuums at the end make it worth it! read more

The car wash wasn't very thorough. I purchased the $13 car wash and still had bugs on the front and dirt on the undercarriage of my car. The free vacuums make it worth it though if you need to clean the interior of your car. read more

I can always stop by yuba city one on the way back from sac, keeping my car nice and clean. I've had a very traumatic day, today. Around 1:30 pm today, I was headed to Chico from Magalia on Skyway. I had been stopped in a long procession of cars due to some kind of road, tree, or power line work ahead. We were all lined up, single file, as this is the part of Skyway just before the downtown Paradise area, where it opens up into double lanes, going both ways. After the road worker flipped the traffic sign and let us proceed, we were soon entering the downtown Paradise area where the road opens up into two lanes. Suddenly, a truck comes up on my right, swerving so much into my lane, I thought he was going to side swipe me. I honked my horn, but he kept coming into my lane! I had to break to a stop or I would have gotten hit. That's when I saw he was pulling a big trailer hauling a dirty old couch and some nasty looking mattresses. He then proceeded to break in front of me several times and do something to cause a huge cloud of black smoke to come out of his exhaust pipe, smogging my car. At first, I thought he might be struggling with his trailer and having engine troubles. So I put on my signal to move to the right lane, in order to pass him. That's when he started veering toward my car again!!! AGAIN I had to slam on my breaks to avoid getting hit or rammed off the road and onto the side walk, as there was no shoulder at that point. He smogged me again and kept going. I moved out of the right lane to the left one, to get out of the black exhaust, at which point I saw him slowing down in the right lane he'd just violently moved to. I had traffic behind me, so I had to keep going, but I didn't want to. As I caught up with him, he AGAIN started veering into my lane, this time, forcing me into the dual turn lane, otherwise known as the 'suicide lane'. As he kept coming into that lane, with his full truck and trailer, he did it at a diagonal, forcing me out onto oncoming traffic. It was the only way I could avoid getting hit by his trailer before he sharply turned right and straightened back out, reentered the left lane and sped off , going downhill. Oncoming traffic heading up the hill was mercifully almost a full block's distance from me, and the leading cars headed my way were slowing down, as I'm sure they saw what happened. I was able to quickly get out of their way and back into the turning lane, and then merged back into the flow of traffic. At that point I called 911 and was able to get within range of that driver to at least read the license plate on his trailer to the police. After that, I let other cars get between us, increasing the distance between us, but as we kept going down the Skyway, leaving Paradise, and passing over the ridge, I watched ahead and was horrified to see him deliberately hitting several orange cones lining another work area which was temporarily closing the left lane, forcing traffic to merge into the right lane. This was only for a short distance, so when both lanes were open, I slowed my speed even more to let him get further and further ahead- the HELL AWAY from me!!! The last time I saw him, he was in the middle lane at the stop light at Notre Dame and Skyway, which leads to the overpass bridge crossing the 99, as if he were headed toward Park Ave. I was so shaken by this experience, so, after work, I went to SurfThru Car Wash to have them scrub off my painted "Stop Tyranny/FreedomCo.net" lettering I have been driving around with for the last six months, on the rear window and both rear side windows of my Prius . It took three times going through the wash to get all the lettering off, as I assume it's been getting baked on the glass in the sun when my car is parked at work. I tipped the scrubbers well-the same cost as the car wash normally costs,plus some, because the lady at the entry kiosk would not let me pay!!! She felt so sorry for me after I told her what had happened to me, hours before, and why I wanted to remove the paint marker lettering. The police never called me back. I am so beyond disturbed. But props to SurfThru on Forest Ave. in Chico! They were so kind to me, and refused to let me pay. read more

This is a great place. Tried them out because friends and family said they were great. Well they did a great job cleaning my truck (hard to do with black) but they also scratched my truck. Not to mad, it should buff out, just an eye sore until then. The free vacuum and air is great though. Surf Thru Express Car Wash I stand on principle. If I believe something to be right, I fight for it. It I believe something to wrong or foolish, I stand my ground. I have unsuccessfully convinced any member of Surf Thru that the terms are odd for a sharing membership. The expectation would be that at least two cards be issued. It is a sharing plan after all. Why has my comments been so hard to digest for the Surf Thru team? Why fight back so hard on something where the customer has a very valid point? Then it hit me. I've been a software engineer for 30 something plus years. I've created many apps and I've reversed engineered a lot as well to fix or enhance those apps. Here is my hunch and I could be wrong, but it would explain why in the digital age Surf Thru is insistent on using a physical card. The Sharing cards are pre-printed. A customer provides contact info and a credit card. A new share card is grabbed from the stack and linked to the account. My hunch is these Share Cards are sequentially numbered. Since phone apps and bar code generators can create a barcode from numbers, it would be easy to use a phone app and input a known account number and then increment or decrement the account number by single digits resulting in valid accounts. If my hunch is valid, then Surf Thru has a security flaw and liability issue. It would also explain why - in the digital age - they are so against the use of a phone to use their service and demand the physical card for service. A phone is definitely much more secure than a physical card. And if the customer is to protect and treat the card like cash, then I know the card is safer kept at home in my drawer and duplicated on a secure device for use. Why fight that fact? Sequential Account Numbers seems to make perfect sense! I do not have a physical share card, in fact no one in my family does any longer. Technically it has been lost. However, we know where it is. I haven't yet mentioned what I am about to say as I didn't want to influence anyone's decision making or look as if I wanted sympathy. I was hoping to make my point and Surf Thru would consider altering their terms to allow phones for access to their service, not to mention restore my membership. Our share card has been incinerated along with our house and everything we owned. Yes, we, like so many others, have lost their home in the Camp Fire. All we had left were the clothes we were wearing and one car. We lived in Paradise and Surf Thru can verify that by looking up the account. If any of your team wants to search through the ash and debris for our share card, you may enter our property for that sole purpose. However, I am sure it has been incinerated. I have had enough of filling out forms, standing in line, replacing things with anything related to our losses. I record credit card numbers, loyalty cards etc. so in the event of being lost or stolen, I know the account number. I did the same thing with the Surf Thru card. I gave it a try and it worked. Since the account is the same, the credit card on file is valid and we don't get anything extra when using the phone to get a car wash, we just started using the phone to enter the wash. No harm, no foul. I have a car and it is dirty and I have an account that gives me 5 washes, what's so hard to understand? So there you have it. If I appeared rude, I am likely just fed up with all the crap that I've gone through, including this silly incident. Being approached and suddenly told I am doing something that causes termination of my membership, well I was surprised. Attempting to explain resulted with my voice falling on deaf ears. It gets old real quick when you talk and nobody listens. If Surf Thru does use sequential account numbers, then I suggest you address that quickly. read more

Used to be good. The people scrubbing the car don't do a good job anymore. The scrubbers inside don't scrub the dirt away. The dryer doesn't work well. My car looks worse than it did before I got it washed because you can definitely see the different areas all over that didn't get cleaned. Still have dirt all down the sides and hood, and the back looks like it never even got wet. Can't go back because I'm already home on the other side of town without a receipt. Now I have to pay for another wash at a different place to finish the job. read more

I was impressed. Car wash was standard and didn't clean incredibly well, but the vacuum is what sold me. Unlimited vacuum time and even a car mat cleaner that washes and drys your floor mats. In all I cleaned my car better than scrubs does and even saved a few bucks. read more

My Truck still showed dirt after running it through, rinse is pretty weak leaves heavy soap residue on mirrors, dryer is worthless had to dry the whole thing at home. Feel like it runs you through the system to fast to clean, rinse or dry properly. I would try somewhere else if your looking for a clean vehicle that doesn't need to be hand dried afterwords. read more

The car wash worked well and staff was friendly, but it broke my driver side mirror off! It seemed like a pretty heavy duty machine which is probably why it cleans so well, but I'm pretty bummed that it resulted in a broken part of my car. When I told management, they helped me tape my mirror back on but I am surprised they didn't comp the wash or something. Probably best for newer cars. The mirror wasn't broken before I went so I'm not really sure what happened or what I should do now. read more

I guess I'm spoiled. In the Portland area we have Kadee car wash. They too charge $7 &10, but don't have a $13 wash. I opted, on my 2015 Corolla, for the $13 wash. As soon as I saw the cheaper washing brushes, I knew it wouldn't wash the entire car. The entire areas on the doors by the mirrors weren't even touched, and as the mirrors split the brushes, both windows had streaky dirt as did the mirrors. I'm used to that car being squeaky clean. Just saying that for $13 I shouldn't have to clean my front door windows and mirrors. Really disappointed. read more

Really like this place...good price for unlimited washes 29.99 or 19.99 the first month is $13.00 ...right before you go through the wash they've got two guys with brushes...they scrub the front end,windows,and back of the car...you go inside the wash and it looks like you're in a disco lol the wash cleans your car really good...I carry a roll of those blue shop paper towels in my trunk so I can clean up and water left behind...the vacuum area is clean and convenient no quarters needed since it's included in your car wash...I highly recommend this place much cheaper than going to scrubs and paying over $20 and waiting forever to get your car back....oh surf also gives you a dash cleaning cloth,a trash bag,lollipop:),and a vent fragrance clip of your choice read more

I continue to be impressed with the quality work and friendly customer service Surf Thru provides. I went to Scrubbs this afternoon because I had a free coupon. There were four lanes of cars with no clear direction as to which lane I should go in. There were no signs and no employees directing us with what to do or where to go. The cars were at a standstill. I turned around and went straight to Surf Thru. Although there were lots of cars in line, it was clear where I needed to be. The staff was so friendly and helpful and even gave me a coupon! I was in and out in well under 10 minutes, even with a big line of cars ahead of me. And my car looks great! I will continue to give Surf Thru my business. DAMAGE WARNING! I used to love getting my Tesla washed here, until my trim was ripped from the side of my car and Surf Thru refused to pay for it. It was ONLY $75! Cheap ass's!. I was the last wash of the night, used to love that it only takes 4 minutes to drive thru. However the next morning I noticed the trim of my car was hanging off from the cloth that they use to wash the cars. I stopped in first thing in the am the day after it happened, the employee there took a picture of it and I called JP Auto for a replacement trim. Tesla takes a long time to get parts in, so after a month I just took it to Tesla in Rocklin for repair. When I brought the paid invoice to Surf Thru, they offered me credit. I told them NO WAY, and then they refused to pay it. I told the manager I would tell my story on social media, he told me that if I did his lawyers would be in touch. WTF? I was a customer since the week they opened, and the damage was done there! I'll post photos soon. I've been going here since the opening of their newest location on Esplanade and have always had a pleasant experience, the wash was great and I think the idea of a membership program is amazing, I never had a problem with any of the staff or the quality of the wash for what I pay, but when I took my car to my detailer here in Chico I was informed that the side of my car had some scratching on the paint and based on the placement he told me that other people who went to this car wash experienced the same scratches to their paint as well. Once it was polished and ceramic coated they were barely noticeable. Other than that I would suggest this car wash to friends and family. read more
