Typhoon Lagoon is shipwrecked tropical island themed with the biggest wave pool in the country. The waves reach 6 feet high and are intense enough to slide a bikini down (so I've heard). There are slides for 2+ so you can adventure together. Lazy River is pretty spacious and has floaty chairs -game changer. Not sure how I can go back to a standard tube after that. Loungers, chairs and picnic tables were available first come first serve. The reserved areas were booked up but we found the perfect location for all five of us. Sun and shade with the nearest bartender just a few steps away. The Mai Thai and Rum Runner were absolutely delish. Was happy to see hard cider available. Disney's magic is keeping the park clean and beautifully landscaped all day long. The water was always that perfect cool and refreshing temp, and crystal clear. Cast members always remind me why Disney is the best.

Food options were limited but the souvenir beer cup came with the cheapest drink refills I saw in any park other than the bottomless resort cups. Lazy river was pretty unspectacular but made for a nice transport method from one attraction to the other. Raft rides were nice but nothing special. I did not try the body slides so maybe there is something there? Again, a great way to recover mid long trip, but not terribly fun. Def go on check-in day for a free park day!

Just came back from volcano bay and let me tell you best water park I've visited yet in florida…read more This was my first visit to this park and i left being a fan. The entrance was quick and easy. We arrived at 10:30 which was way later than the opening time and were able to find great seats by the volcano. We didn't get a locker since we took only a few things. But they do offer lockers. The park wasn't too crazy since it was a Tuesday and the day right after Memorial Day. The lines were very short. I think only maybe two rides had a 35 minute wait which is pretty great. I love how in the bathrooms they have changing rooms and also a changing room with shower where you can rinse off and change. The family rooms are a bit different. They have a bathroom with changing table and shower in them which is very helpful with little ones. The park has these burst of water that shoot at your feet so your feet are always cool. Which i thought was pretty awesome. They have multiple food spots around the park and places to get snack. I got the waturi fusion ice cream and let me tell you it's worth the hype . It has banana, blue raspberry, orange, and strawberry and those flavors worked so well together. We ordered three and our whole family loved it. Our family loved TeAwa, The Fearless River. We spent two hours out of our seven hours at the park there. Everyone must wear a life vest while in that water. Its a 10000/10 highly recommend. In all our first time at volcano Bay was amazing. We loved it and would love to come back again.

Our longest wait was for Krakatau, and we still went twice in an hour. It is an awesome water coaster (unless you ask my 4 year old, who was terrified -- whoops!). Other favorites included the Puihi Round Raft Rides, especially the green line. I think we rode this one five times in an hour today, and twice yesterday. Ika Moana is conceptually similar, and also excellent. Overall, Volcano Bay may be our favorite of the four Universal Parks. I'm shocked to be saying that, since I've come to Universal several times, and never been tempted to visit Volcano Bay. Nevertheless, I need to say it; this is a legit great water park.

From the moment we arrived to when we left, everything was really well done. The staff were friendly and welcoming, which set the tone right away. They have a buffet for breakfast and lunch with a good variety of options, so I feel like most people could find something they like. There are also smaller stands with snacks, pizza, and ICEE stations. Now let's talk about the drinks. There is just something about a frozen daiquiri when you're by the water. Highly recommend getting the drink package and trying a few... or all of them if you can handle it. I loved how many different areas there were to explore. Seeing dolphins swimming so close to the beach was actually kind of magical. They also have a monkey island which I was really excited about. It was closed when we got there, but I could still see them from a distance and I loved that. The aviary was really cool too. Tons of birds, but also tons of people. They recommend going first thing when the birds are most active, which we did, but so did everyone else. We got there about 45 minutes after opening and the birds already seemed a little over it. Honestly, I don't blame them. The Grand Reef was such a cool experience. I didn't really know what to expect, and even though it's man made, it still feels really immersive. Some of those rays are huge and have zero fear. They will swim right into you. My guy had never experienced anything like that and he loved it. I also liked that there were shallow areas and deeper sections if you wanted more of a snorkeling feel. The only downside for us was the Wind Away River. There are spots that get deep really fast, and that day they were apparently out of floaties because people were hoarding them and claiming areas. Staff even acknowledged it, which was frustrating because nothing was being done about it. It made parts of the river harder to enjoy than they should have been. Other than that, everything else was great and it made for such a fun day. Also the bar swings were a highlight. Loved those.

We had our own private ambassadors show us around the park and were escorted to the sting ray feeding area . We got our wet suits and lockers . Bathroom is very clean and has plenty of towels . The sting ray feeding was so much fun . The ambassadors are very informative . Trainers will feed the larger manta rays since they are larger and take vitamins but we fed the smaller sting rays which was a lot of fun. Also we got to feed small fish which was a fun treat for us . Monkey island pool - warmest water in the park Tropical river - slightly chilly but overall fun Great reef- chillest but once submerged not bad . Colder due to sea-life . Great reef was amazing , it looks like nothing but once you put googles on it's another world. Highly recommend. All inclusive drinks package - worth the money it can get pricy . Food - buffet style , it was okay . Not great , not good but satisfied appetite . Lots of towels , food all inclusive and a great way to spend time in Orlando !

They have poolside service, a lazy river and lots of lifeguards standing by. The only downfall I see of this property is that is so big so there's a lot of walking. But overall it's an amazing hotel. Very close to the Disney parks and plenty of room for families. You can even do groceries and cook and if you want to. This is my go to resort when in the area. I highly recommend it.

The room smelled awful, the window didn't open, and even after switching rooms the smell remained. The hotel is old, uncomfortable, and poorly maintained. Overall, a very disappointing stay. Our check-in experience at this hotel was a complete fiasco. We arrived in the evening only to discover that our reservation had been cancelled because we were two hours late. This happened despite the fact that we had called and sent messages in advance to confirm our arrival and specifically asked them not to cancel the booking. Nevertheless, the reservation was cancelled, and we were forced to make a new one after already waiting in line. At the front desk, the staff insisted it was our fault for not notifying them, even though we had clearly done so. Unfortunately, the real disappointment began when we entered the room. The smell was extremely unpleasant, and since the window did not open, it was impossible to ventilate the space. We requested a different room, and while the second room was slightly better, it still had an unpleasant odor. The pool area was also difficult to tolerate due to a very strong chlorine smell. Overall, the hotel feels very outdated and poorly maintained, making it hard to relax. Even the bar was closed throughout our stay. Overall, a very disappointing experience
