I have been going to Dr McMahan for 18 years. I like going to this place as it is very welcoming and inspiring. Dr McMahan creates the best smile you dream about. He suggests best solutions. Dr McMahan is very detailed and explains everything thoroughly. The room has a TV and it is relaxing to watch the ocean while in the office. When I go to the office I feel as I am on vacation watching the ocean. I am grateful that I go to this office as I get the best dental work done. Christie is the most talented hygienist you can find. She does a fantastic job! Kelly is always welcoming. During holidays the office is well decorated, it is very beautiful. If by any chance you are searching for a new dental place please save your time and go to Surfside dental as this is the best place. I can not say enough about how wonderful this office is. I typically HATE the dentist but this is a totally different experience. Everyone in this office is just amazing. Dr. McMahon is so caring and kind. I overhead him working with an elderly gentleman in the room next to mine on trying to figure out the most economical way of providing the patient the repairs that he needed. My dentist of 20 years retired and my husband and I were referred to Surfside Dental. This dental office and team are perfection! Kelly, the office manager couldn't be more pleasant & professional and Dr. McMahan is very friendly, kind, and empathetic to each dental situation. He doesn't "push" his business or treatment onto patients like I have experienced at other dental offices. Surfside Dental is beautifully remodeled which includes the most updated dental technology. I used to never want to get dental x-rays because of radiation exposure, but their x-ray equipment produces very minimal radiation. Each time I walk into Surfside Dental I feel very calm and relaxed. While in a dental chair I love being mesmerized by watching the (large flatscreen TV) beach front webcams and listening to the calming music. The entire Surfside Dental experience could not be anymore pleasant! I am extremely thankful to have Dr. McMahan and his team providing our dental care! Another plus is parking. I visited Surfside Dental for the first time on October 7, 2021. I can say without a doubt this was the best dental visit I have ever experienced in my 75 years. From start to finish, it was exceptionally pleasant. The cleaning by Dimaris (not sure of the spelling) was thorough and without any pain. The staff was friendly and, at least on my visit, cheerful. It felt almost like a spa visit! Dr. McMahan was also very friendly and easy to understand. The technology used was very helpful (pictures of each tooth from the outside and the usual x-rays were displayed on the tv screen). I was also impressed that they were honest and did not try to upsell me at all. The after-care (emails with explanations of service I could use) was also very thorough and professional. They worked well with my ppo dental insurance plan. I recommend them. read more

I just had my first appointment and I thought they were very through. The staff was nice and kind. They took lots of pictures and x-rays. Dr. McMahan carefully explained what needed to be done and prioritized the way it could be done. They did not push, scold, or make you feel that all had to be done immediately. The girl who cleaned my teeth was very throughly and took her time. Their equipment was very up to date. Looking forward to next appointment which says something for a coward like me. . read more

Dr McMahan is the best dentist I have been to in my 59 years on this Earth. He is very gentle and never trying to upsale the patient on anything they don't want or need. I was in an out today in about 40 minutes with x-rays, dental check as well as a full checkup and cleaning. Their use of technology is amazing. From email and text appointment reminders to digital pictures / x-Ray so the patient can see any issues on the 60 inch 4k TVs in every room. 70s Rock music playing in the background with scenes of beautiful beaches playing on the TVs to put the patient at ease. The staff is wonderful, from Kelly at the front desk to the dental hygienists to Dr. Michael McMahan. Everyone is so kind and they truly care about your dental health. My dental hygienist, Damaris was AWESOME!!! I had to be fitted for a new night guard to protect my teeth from grinding while I sleep and if you've ever been fitted for this sort of thing you know it's not pleasant. Damaris worked so quickly getting the molds taken and kept me as comfortable as she could during the process. Just moved to the area. Cracked a tooth and thanks to the "yelpers" I came here. Excellent service. I got right in. 1 sheet of paperwork to fill out. I was in a chair in 5 minutes. Everyone was amazing. I walked out 90 minutes later with a temporary crown. No pain. The atmosphere was pleasant, friendly, relaxing. I loved the large screen TV. That was very relaxing watching the beach. I would definitely recommend this place. read more

I've never used their services, but I can still recommend them for dental emergencies. My 12 year-old had an upper front tooth knocked out playing baseball! It was after 6pm and his regular dentist office was closed. We frantically called several offices trying to find one that could see him with an hour. The staff there are very, very kind and welcoming. His new office is beautiful, soothing, and very relaxing. I truly enjoy going to my checkups. I have been to Beachwalk Dental 3 times over the last several months. I have never been more satisfied with a dentist experience before. The new office is really great - very neat, clean and has state of the art equipment. The dental hygienist did a very thorough cleaning and explained exactly what she was doing. They also take pictures of your teeth and then show you the pics at the end to discuss any issues with your teeth. Everyone in the office is very friendly.
