They were more than happy to relieve me of my skateboard and longboard. I had a mortgage to pay. I did not want to risk a broken bone. Time to adult I thought. Five years later my awesome wife got not rollerblading. She wanted me to roll around with her while she practiced. I am not a roller skater nor a roller bladder. I used to be a skateboarder. I told her about Active. How when I was twelve, I used to scrounge up my change to buy bearings and wheels at Active while my mom, brother, and I washed our weekly laundry at the coin-laundry place next door. We live in Vista now. I wanted to check out the Active in Escondido; however, it has since closed. I try to spend local and checked out local skate shops but kept thinking about my old Active. I convinced my wife that we could go to Temecula and pop in for a bite at Old Town after to make it worth the drive. I felt like a kid again walking into Active in Temecula, same shopping center, but in the new location. I had the fortune of meeting Jackson. He is enthusiastic about skateboarding. I told him that this would be my last board, and for me, it was like buying a car. We talked about styles, boards, form versus function, etc. Jackson led me through each category and made me feel confident that I was selecting items that fit my riding style and personal style preferences. This is my favorite board that I have ever owned. The front cashier said my board was dope when ringing out. I already knew, but to hear the first person say it, made me grin from ear-to-ear. I hope Active comes back strong. I will try to spend my money there when I can to support the cause. The Return. Thank you Jackson, the woman in the front, and Active. I felt like a kid again. I made sure to cruise Old Town on my awesome new board to make sure the first ride was in Temecula. Where I grew up. Where I hung out at Active. Where I fell in love with skating. Thank you!

I had a left knee injury 11 years ago and another injury on the same knee a few years ago, so I…read morehave had multiple surgeries and been in and out of physical therapy over the years. I have had both great, average, and poor care in physical therapy. I am very active, so I have always been highly motivated to exercise and follow directions given to me by my doctor and therapist. This physical therapy office is subpar. The first time I came after my initial evaluation, my physical therapist was over booked and was running back in forth in the office, so I got very little attention. Unfortunately, this was not a one time occurrance. Every week I was told to do my exercises and then left to my own devises. Often, I didn't know what to do because of the lack of guidance. Because I have a lot of atrophy in my left leg, I do have a difficult time performing excercises correctly. I have relied on my physical therapist to watch me, correct me when my form is bad. In addition, I have needed different types of exercises over the years because not all of my surgeries have been the same. At this location, I was not given a home exercise program. The therapist said to just do the exercises I was already doing. A few times, I was told to add an exercise or two to what I was doing at home, but each time, the therapist quickly demonstrated the exercise but did not have me try it under his supervision or give me written directions. All of this led to me pulling a muscle at home. I am concerned my recovery is not occuring fast enough so I can successfully return to work on time, and that I will not get full use of my knee and leg because of inadequate physical therapy. I did express my concerns to my physical therapist twice. After the first time, nothing changed. The second time I stated what I said above, and the therapist did take more time with me. He told me that his supervisor did require them to be overbooked and did not provide enough aides to assist him. Unless the owners or supervisor steps in or if you are very vocal about wanting to be guided and given attention, I doubt you will receive effective therapy here. On a positive note, I did receive a massage and time on the electrical stim machine every visit. The massage was not as deep as I would have liked, but it better than nothing.
