The tortillas are chewy, the toppings feel fresh, and the yellow rice that comes with the tacos are heavenly. An order of two tacos and that rice are super filling. I also always get the chips, queso, and guac. The queso is average but the guac is fresh and delicious. I recently had their chicken tinga tacos too (Tulum) and the chicken was so juicy and flavorful. I really don't think you can go wrong with tacos at Surfside! This is by far the worst and biggest ripoff of any burrito stand I've been to. The burrito I got was called the andros which was a steak burrito. However the thing was that there was barely any steak in the burrito. I would say the burrito was 90% rice and 10% steak. This is definitely the best place to go after clubbing after taco, it is a little more expensive than Julie's empanada but definitely worth it. The line can vary till about 10 to 30 minutes on the weekend depending on what time you go especially around 3 when all the clubs close. But wait the line, unless you are too drunk. I highly recommend the Cabo San Lucas tacos. The taco is so good I always order an extra taco which cost 3.95. The tacos come with a yellow rice that is absolutely delicious. You can get some hot sauce either regular or verde if you need some spice. The tacos come with steak, avocado, grilled onion, and some avocado sour cream. This magical combination literally melts in your mouth, I haven't tasted a better taco in NoVA yet. The steak is tender, the avocado doesn't overpower it. My friend split a Macimac burrito which came m with scrambled eggs, hash browns and bacon and the comparison wasn't even close. Overall, I would drive to this place anytime any day for this tacos. The line was long but moved pretty fast. They were organized with security and a (MC aka Master of Ceremony) to help keep order. We got he Cabo San Lucas tacos & Belize quesadilla. Went to this place for the first time during a late druken night after the club, the food was good, but let's be fair, everything is good when you're drunk. Tried them again today for lunch since it's near my job...O-M-G. I ordered the Martha's Vineyard Quesadilla w/ chicken added. The first thing is, for this spot to be 24 hrs, everything taste so fresh! You can tell they have to be locally sourcing these ingredients because there is no way they could get amazing fresh ingredients like this everyday. Second, this thing is cooked to perfection. It's not super crispy and dry like some quesdilla's, it has a nice amount of moisture to keep it gooey, but the edges are still crispy! Third, this thing is HUGE! I was expecting to get and average standard size tortilla folded and cut into 4ths... two pieces are the size of one whole "standard" quesadilla. I am sooooo here for this. I'm super excited about trying out everything they have to offer. Other notes: This place gives off Cali vibes being a traditional street style vendor. They have an outdoor seating area right in front of the stand, but nothing elaborate. There is ALWAYS a line at this place. I've never been to it or passed by it and NOT seen patrons. The staff is also super friendly :) and great customer service. Average price for what your getting and the area.
