Eric recently completed a roof replacement on our shop. He was able to fit us in between other jobs and the weather due to the size of the job. He provided a very fair proposal prior to starting work and explained how the entire process would go. We let him know we would be in and out around the thanksgiving holiday and he worked with our schedule very well. The replacement went smooth and he met the proposed scheduled perfectly. Eric just finished my neighbor's roof and his crew were fast, cleaned up well, did good work, and were a fair price (neighbor told me what they paid and it was as good a price as I've seen). l contacted Eric Surowaik on August 11 based the recommendations I read in Yelp. After I left two more voicemail messages on August 12 and 13, Eric made an appointment. He looked at the dry rot repair area I had on the roof and gave me, what I thought a very fair estimate of the work to be done and the cost. I accepted the bid and notified Eric on September 1, Since that time, I have called repeatedly to schedule a time for him to do the repair. He did call back once on September 7 to say he was very busy but that he hadn't forgotten me. From that time, I have heard nothing from him. I realize my repair work is small compared to a full roof replacement but he understood that for the start and agreed to the repair work. The only reason I have him two stars is that his estimate was reasonable. read more

Eric is amazing and true to his word. In September he replaced the flashing in the valleys; done on time and done at a very reasonable price. The work was done quicker than expected and the area was kept clean. In December we thought there was a roof leak, Eric was quick to come out during Christmas week to check the roof and the attic. Turned out not to be the roof but condensation from the heating furnace, but Eric helped clean up the water and place trays to collect water until I could get a HVAC person out. He gave an honest and very competitively priced quote without any of the salesman BS I had gotten elsewhere. Everything was done as scheduled with no additional costs and very little disruption to us, and they were very thorough with cleanup. They even fixed some dry rot which was not on the quote without charging us for it. They are very knowledgeable and experienced and do all the little touches to make the roof look and work great. Eric and his crew are amazing! When I was gathering quotes, Eric worked with me and explained things so we clearly understood them. His genuine personality sold me before I got his quote, but even his quote was fair. I had read in a few other reviews on Yelp that he was very detail oriented, so I trusted that. Let me tell you he took care of my house and my back yard like it was his own. When the demo crew was there he made sure everything was covered and clean when they left. Surowiak Roofing just completed my re-roof job and I could not be any happier! The job included three new premium skylights, all new gutters with a custom color of my choosing, all new flashing, conversion to ridge vents for better function and appearance, repairs to sheathing, high-end Owens-Corning "Woodmore" shingles for that "presidential" look, and special underlayment to meet Title 24 since I was matching a darker color on another structure. In an orchestrated fashion starting on the first day (exactly the day he originally promised) , Eric supervised the whole tear-off and was unloading bundles of shingles on the roof as soon as the tear-off was complete. Unlike big roofing companies, Eric was my single point of contact for all stages of the job from the competitive bid through the final inspection. He kept me well informed and along with his crew, worked tirelessly to complete my job remarkably fast, but with a clear attention to detail. The roof job overlapped with a painting contractor and they coordinated in a highly professional manner to make sure both jobs went smoothly. Everything was left clean including the use of a blower to remove any loose grit from the roof surface and gutters.
