Car was taken here for a minor fuel pump problem they charged 3 hours labour just to find the issue then 2 more to install it for a total of 5 hours labour. that's $400.00 plus parts.This was a straight forward job with no other electrical issues, 3 hours to diagnose a simple problem like this sounds to me like either incompetence or dishonesty and neither is acceptable. read more

I got an oil change done at Surrey Centre Auto repairs on December 27, 2017 and I was not impressed. By January 4, 2018, the bolt under the car that keeps the oil in fell off and oil started pooring out. It appeared that the bolt was tightened with hands rather than tools and the oil was all over the bottom of my car (could have been leaking for days). My motor could potentially be damaged and Surrey Centre is not claiming responsibility and has refused to help me with motor repairs if they are needed. They gave me $70 of reimbursement to cover my transport and oil that I needed to re-do their job. Although they were respectful, to me, it was just a bandaid solution. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone. I went there with my own brakes to be installed and walked out with a major bill. When there they are very nice but after you hand them your keys it seems there is a lot of unneeded work your car needs. For example they said I needed rear brakes when I just had my rear brakes done less then a year ago. Don't go here unless you want to get ripped off. Also they spilled something on my front car mats and I was thinking I had a leak in the car. Caution don't go here. read more

I bought a coupon off of SocialShopper last year for an oil change and inspection. The guy there told me my brakes were bare and needed replacing. So I had the brakes replaced. A few weeks later I noticed some minor squeaking when braking at low speeds. It wasn't a big deal then, but as time went on the squeaking got worse and worse. It was very loud. I took my car into a different shop that a friend of mine worked at. They looked at the brakes and to make a long story short, the installation was done incorrectly such that the rotor clips were rubbing against the brake disc and causing the squealing. I now have to pay for them to fix it and will be going back to discuss the issue with Surrey Centre Auto Repairs to see if they will give me any sort of compensation. Appointment booked a week prior for 10am on Saturday. I showed up early. It's now 10:45 and car hasn't been taken in to have its oil changed. Horrible service didn't apologize, made an excuse of being short staffed. This should have been made clear when at 10 they advised that it would take no longer than 30-45 minutes. Not worth the $18 Groupon. If you value your time at all don't visit this location. Also, they will try to sell you on things not needed. read more

Having done the back yard apprentice, Canadian tire, looks good but in the end was out to get your money route, I came upon Surrey Centre Auto Repairs. After reading reviews and checking with AMA I was sure this was the place to go. I couldn't be happier, Friendly same day service with no nonsense realistic explanations and no unwanted add ons. My vehicle feels and responds safely and I'm more than happy with my entire experience. Sukh even took the time to call me the next day to see if I was happy, who does that any more? got there with groupon coupon for oil change, they put bad oil in my car and after couple of days it started showing check engine light, i took this to one of my friend and found the oil was either not changed or changed with used / bad oil, I called the owner who offered me to check the issue but i would never go back there. read more

AVOID this place at all costs!!! My wife went in for an oil change and ended up getting an oil pan gasket replaced(unnecessarily I believe) and still leaked afterward! Went to get repaired again but was told the pan gasket is fine but the "condenser" is leaking(need to replace it!! Took the car to a friend who's a mechanic and he found nothing wrong with the condenser(pretty sure they sprayed some tranny fluid on it!!) and loose oil pan bolts, and a stripped bolt on the exhaust manifold ! Anyway to make this long horror story short, do not come here unless you're looking for unnecessary work and costs! Told me it would be 30-45mins at 4:30pm. Called me at 5pm to say it was going to be another 45... Didn't ask what oil I took, almost put non synthetic oil (which would void my warranty). Lady did not speak very good english, they were not very polite... They did not call me to pick up my car, I just went over, and it had been done for 15mins already. I have gone to this place twice now. The first time went I had bought a groupon. While they were a little late taking my car in, and it took about 25 minutes longer than they said it would, I would have still rated it 4/5. The lady at the front desk was super sweet, bringing me home cooked curry to eat while I waited. So I went back. They honoured the groupon price without me having to purchase another groupon- great. Same lady, same food- great. Late taking my car in and more than 45 minutes longer than they said it would be- not so great. But the reason for the 1/5 rating is because I realized after this last oil change that the sticker they put on my windshield to tell me when I needed another oil change was for 5,000km. For a synthetic oil change, this should have been at least 8,000. So I called to tell them, and to ask if they could see if the same thing had happened with my last sticker, and sure enough, they had written 5,000 after the first one. This means that I bought another oil change at least 3,000km early, and only 3.5 months after my last oil change. I explained my frustration to the guy, and non-chalantly he suggest he could "throw in a tire rotation or something next time to make it up". I think you can say that the first time was a mistake (forgot it was synthetic), but doing it twice certainly makes me think they are being dishonest, assuming most people wouldn't notice (I didn't- it was my husband who did). Anyways...I don't usually review places, but I feel like this was pretty disappointing, and maybe others who have had their oils changed by these guys should also double check the math so that you don't waste your money too! beware of this repair shop!!! they will ripped you off. If they diagnose your car and suggests to replace this and that! think twice!!! I came there knowing that my car problem was only the spark plug. ( Im not a mechanic but I know a little bit about cars) I left the key and they told me that they will call me after they check the car. They called and said that the spark plug, ignition coil, air filter and cabin filter needs to be change. And the estimated bill was $850 including labor plus tax. I was surprised! My air filter was changed 2 months ago! I said hold the repair and I'll ask for 2nd opinion. Then he told me that he could lower the labor charge plus free change oil just to give a go for the repair. I went to other mechanic, he fixed the car by replacing only the spark plugs and charge me $114. In fairness to them, they are nice, they will offer coffee, drinks but again be more aware! or if they suggest parts that need to change ask them first if its urgent or not or else they will change parts of your car which is not really needed. read more
