Terrible experience! Had a reservation with friends for my birthday. Was seated right away however 45 minutes later 2 in our party were still waiting for Diet Coke. Brought this to the attention of the manager who did get us our drinks. After about a hour some of our party received their salads and appetizers. We again had to stop the manager to get the other salad and appetizer because our waitress was not back to our table since she took our order. The manager actually stopped coming back to our table so he didn't have to deal with us anymore. After 2 hours our dinner started to come out. 2 steaks were completely raw! We decided to get our check and leave. We spoke to the owner and got the "I apologize ". They actually had the nerve to add the gratuity to our bill for food we didn't eat. We WILL NEVER RETURN AGAIN! It was the worst service and customer service I have ever experienced. read more

This restaurant gets a big "MEH". I drove a good distance to get to this restaurant and was disappointed. First, I made a reservation, and was encouraged by the hostess to do so, specifically to sit at the bar. I was concerned about being stranded at a table. When I got to the restaurant there were individuals sitting in my "reserved" seats. I then was seated at a table and experienced just what I did not want slow service. I placed my first cocktail order based upon the large color billboard on route 22 showing a "Quaratini" they stopped making them. The food was ok, portions were small. Went to SURV for the first time today. The server was pleasant, but didn't know much about the specials. The server said he had to go to a mandatory team meeting just as we sat down. I've never seen that before. So, there we sat waiting. The small meat plate did not come out with the items listed on the menu. The hamburger ordered medium rare came out hammered. Mostly not edible and the bacon was like jerky. The Pork chop was fine regarding the doneness, but there was a spice on it that was hot and not noted on the menu. Otherwise, I would have ordered something else. The sides with the pork chop were different than the menu. A couple were unidentifiable. It was not the same dish. I would have ordered something else. So, won't be returning to this place. The place is not inexpensive and it was among the worst meals ever experienced. It appears that they may be using any leftover ingredients and/or inexperience in the kitchen including leadership. If you enjoy this place, good for you. The drinks, appetizers, and atmosphere were really great. I love the booths and the styling of the restaurant. The main dish were sub par. My fiancé had the shrimp pasta and I had the filet. His pasta was cooked okay but for the price, not many or big shrimps. Needed a pop of green on the plate! Apps and salads were beautiful but not the mains. I prefer mine closer to medium but my steak came out very medium rare. My waitress offered to put it back on but she took away my plate and they came out with a new one in like 10 minutes, while my fiance was stalling on his dish to wait for me. It came back out to me but was beyond medium now, and just well done. Whatever at this point...50$....for a square of dense scallop potatoes which were dry and not gooey- the Brussels didn't have much flavor... and the first under then over steak was in a burnt wine sauce...I guess I'm mad at only myself for ordering the filet. The salad was good-with beets and burrata but there was hardly a drizzle of dressing/vinaigrette on the right side of the plate... needed way more of that plus the arugula should have been tossed in it first... yogurt sauce had zero to offer in terms of flavor. The tuna tataki was great, the cheese board needed a break from the only provided cinnamon bread, was a bit too strong the whole plate. Needed to have like a second bread non sweet. Surv has great food and great staff. Their entrees are all amazing and if you don't try their wood fired pizza for your appetizer you would be doing yourself a grave disservice. The atmosphere is pleasant and welcoming. We found the pricing to be reasonable if not actually on the lower end considering the portions they serve. When you put their whole package together, you probably won't find a better restaurant in Forks Township. read more

Had an amazing dinner tonight at surv. Did not know this gem has been in my area for almost a year. If you are in the area and are looking for fine dining give this place a try. The ambiance was very in tune to the dining experience., you'll not be disappointed. food was delicious and the service was Great. Wow, the most amazing dish. Imagine Mac and cheese crisped up in a waffle machine and topped with fried chicken, bread and butter picked cucumbers and a special sauce with male syrup and a Sriracha sauce. Talk about tickling your pallet. The pork bellies were also great. read more

Visited Surv on Saturday August 7, 2021. The space is very cool and has a nice vibe. The food and service was excellent. The mushroom risotto with beef tips and the Asian pear salad was delicious. The chicken and "waffles" (really wasn't a waffle) I was super skeptical about it. My son ordered it and it was awesome. I am definitely getting that next time. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because of the portion sizes. They were ok. I don't consider myself a big eater but if someone has a big appetite they might leave hungry. The cocktails were very good and unique, but could be served in a larger glass for the price. The desserts again were excellent but super small portions. It's approximately $60 a person if you order a salad/app/meal and share a dessert. Again excellent food/service and would defiantly try it again. read more

Table for 10 and food was absolutely fantastic. Had the tuna tartar as an app along with wontons and slightly spicy sauce A+ .Rack of lamb cooked to perfection (med rare) . Friend had the same and said best he's ever had. A+. Wife had chicken and waffles. Came with cheesey Mac that had the waffle batter baked as the mac crust A+. Filet by about 4 people and said that it cut like butter. One waiter, young guy, was great with some jokes. Overall, wonderful experience. The restaurant is beautiful, the food was good although the menu needs more entrees, the service was friendly, but unfortunately what needs considerable work is the bar service. We have gone twice and both times we waited an unbelievable amount of time for drinks. I believe this may be management's problem for not having enough bartenders on for the amount of customers, and also possibly inexperienced bartenders. I say that because besides being slow, the drinks were not good at all. We may give it a third try, but would not feel comfortable recommending it right now, until some improvements were made. read more

It is a beautiful, intimate setting, great for a date night or couples night out. Once we are able to sit at a bar again, there is also a huge bar area conducive for a great happy hour. Good start. Rough ending. Apps were good. Main course was not good at all. We got the tuna app, and a cheese board. They both were great and I wish we stopped there. The mains were shrimp past with fresh burrata cheese, and beef tenderloin with balsamic sauce. The shrimp were flavorless in a very acidic red sauce. Not very good for hype. The major fail was the steak. They over cooked it first, then sent a re fire. The re fire was raw in the center with sauce that was burnt. Don't know how but they ruined it. The food here is delicious. Do not expect huge portions but the quality of the food is top notch. The service was good even though we were outside which about a mile from the kitchen and bar. Took 10 mins until I saw someone and asked if we could have a server. Our second time trying the place and we probably won't be back. It's very very nice but our food came out before I could even order my drinks.... Nothing spoils a dining experience more entirely than not tasting the food the venue has to offer. I will never take the opportunity to indulge in Surv's offerings due to the very bad taste in my mouth left by treatment of the staff when I walked into the Bar area from the mall entrance after reading the posted menu on the door. I asked the bartender if I could place a "to go" order. He sent me through the restaurant to the hostess station at the far end of the restaurant where I waited, and waited, and waited to place an order for a salad for my wife. When I was finally approached to ask what I wanted (bear in mind I had just "walked in off the street" into the bar area and was directed to her to place a to go order; I was wearing jeans and a sweatshirt). I was told that they were too busy to provide take out orders and that I should just move on. The restaurant appeared fully staffed and the seating was socially distanced so there were many unoccupied tables. Although I only required the effort of the kitchen staff to whip together a salad, put it in a box and the hostess to take my $28.00 I was told I would not be accommodated. I asked to she the manager. At this point I had been in Surv at least twenty five minutes and had ample time to observe the pace of the serving going on around me. After an additional five or so minutes the manager arrived and told me the Chef did not want to provide take out, which is surprising since take out is the only way they could have been making money during the COVID shutdowns. Just before literally turning her back on me and walking away her last statement to me was "Sorry, we do the best we can". My response was "No, you don't". read more

This visit was a last minute decision on a Saturday afternoon. We were both really hungry and thought it was about time we try SURV. Al was a great server. He was friendly and cheerful. He was eager to help us decide on what to order. So many great choices. We ended up ordering the tuna tartare which was tasty and fresh and a wonderful, flavorful goat cheese flan from the "Medium Plates" section. So delicious. We also ordered a veggie pizza. The crust was thin and crispy, the toppings were perfection! We enjoyed all this delectable food with a couple of beers and managed to finish off with a sweet and creamy crème brûlée. We were so pleasantly surprised with this whole experience while listening to some good music and enjoying the comfortable booth seating. Overall we thought the menu was creative and it's calling us back. I gotta try that lamb dish! We can't wait to go back and experience more. read more

We are regular dining customers @ SURV (weekly) and have always enjoyed their friendly staff, delicious cocktails and food. On Saturday, August 6th, we decided to take a friend of ours for his Birthday to SURV for lunch. Prior to going, I went onto their website to confirm they were OPEN. The website said OPEN until 9:30PM. With the pleasant weather, we arrived SURV and went to the Patio, only to be told they are having a private party "Baby Shower". So we told the waitress it was fine, we will gladly eat indoors. The waitress told us we weren't allowed to dine indoors, because they are Closed. I told her I checked the website and it noted OPEN. She said NO, we will open for dinner and we could not be served. Needless to say, as much as we have enjoyed going to SURV, we will no longer be dining there. I understand the outdoor party was private and respect their privacy. There is no reason why the indoor dining should have been closed without any notification on their website. We then drove to Easton with several great restaurant choices and had a wonderful birthday lunch @ the River Grille. SURV - big disappointment! What is the reasoning behind closing indoor dining for lunch? Perhaps because you had a guaranteed outdoor private party, so why bother open indoor lunch dining to other patrons? read more

Chicken and waffles were terrible the chicken breading tasted stale, when commented to the waitress that my husband didn't like and you could tell Ana he barely ate a quarter of it she said sorry and kept on proceeding with her task. we had the last reservation of the night and were rushed out I was asked twice if I was still eating or if she could take my plate. Then when go to pay they tell us their credit card system is down and if we could write down our credit card numbers down and they would run it tomorrow, like that was gonna happen. After we agree to write a check and we do that. They come back and say one of their terminals is working that if they can rip up the check and we cannot with our card. Took family there for dinner. Had been recommended by a work friend. Very expensive. $18 for a cheeseburger? If it was fantastic maybe, but we ordered medium and it was well done. My elderly mother had salmon cake. Small, over done and fishy. Very disappointing. The wait staff was attentive. But the food was fair at best . The manager came over to check on our meals. We expressed our disappointment, but they didn't even offer to compensate for the over cooked burger. It was a disappointing experience. We won't be going back. I would not recommend. read more

We absolutely loved this new gem in Forks township! Great atmosphere! Super friendly staff and wonderful service. The bar and outdoor dining are both going to be a fun option this spring. Drinks and appetizers and entrees were amazing. We loved the menu with different plate sizes and such variety! We had the French Manhattan and margarita off of the drink menu. The tuna tartare and beet salad for appetizers were so delicious! For dinner we had the chicken and waffles and the mushroom pizza which were packed with flavor and excellent! All of the food is beautifully plated. Service was perfect! We definitely noticed how friendly the staff was to us during the entire time we were there. They have a large draft beer list. The wine by the glass list was the only thing I would tweak. I didn't recognize any of the wines offered. They were very reasonably priced but not really interesting. I like to splurge on a great glass or two of wine to match such wonderful appetizers and entrees , and the wines offered just didn't match the high level of the food. We were too full for dessert but will definitely be back soon to try more things off of the menu. All in all we loved SURV! read more
