The food was delicious!! This restaurant is right on the square in the gorgeous downtown Sunbury. While it has a more modern feel, we really enjoyed the two dining options. We chose to order and then find our seats rather than wait for a place in the full service area. We tried the fish tacos and prime rib and French dip. Both were delicious!! The fish tacos were very balanced between the grilled tilapia, cilantro, the slaw they put on there, perfect for a summer afternoon! So excited to have this restaurant in Sunbury; in the old Fling Hardware space, nonetheless! We tried it today for the first time. And WOW!! Deviled Eggs on the Appetizer menu! Kids Menu Chicken Tenders were HUGE & perfectly battered & cleanly crisp. Best tasting Roasted Broccoli side. The Reuben was to die for. Tomato Soup & Grilled Cheese. Yummo! The only thing missing was HAM. My hubs wanted Ham on his Grilled Cheese. But other than that, what a great place! I cant wait to go back & try the Fish Tacos. Love the decor. Very CLEAN restaurant. Staff is very helpful & friendly. I Would love to see more pics of the old Fling Hardware space and Sunbury on the walls. I highly recommend Surve. Surve has quickly become my family's new favorite place to eat. We've had several items on the menu and have not been disappointed yet! The filet is one of our favorites! Cooked perfectly every time! We went there for dinner last night again and they did not disappoint. Their margaritas are the best around. They are made with fresh squeezed lime juice and the flavor proves it. I had the grilled vegetable with zucchini noodles and I added salmon to it. We want to go back to district 13 but Their bar service is so bad, it doesn't compare to surve. I choose surve. Added the fresh cut fries and they was a great choice, but the next table had Mac & cheese that I will try on the next visit. We have been meaning to come here since we saw other great reviews and finally made it tonight. We are both really pleased, drinks were very good (try the fresh squeezed margarita!) and a well-priced, and the food was just delicious. One side is quick service, and the other is full service in the bar area. Amie, our server in the bar area, was sweet, personable, and provided great service. We went to Surve based on other Yelp reviews and weren't disappointed. The food was very good. I'm a meatloaf snob and don't always come across restaurants that make the grade, but theirs was wonderful. We sat in the bar; the service was great and the place was clean (unlike some other bars where you stick to the table). Thankful for this restaurant. Somewhere good to eat in town. Fresh ingredients with everything made, in house, daily. You can taste the quality from the chicken fingers to the ribeye quality. Can't go wrong. We have been there multiple time and enjoyed everything. For some on the first visit it can be confusing as it isn't your standard restaurant set up. Wanted to try someplace different in Sunbury which doesn't have a lot of quality restaurants to choose from. A quick glance at the menu and I made a cold night, comfort food with biscuit and chicken pot pie. I can't say enough about how delicious it was. The chicken was tender and juicy with plenty of large pieces and the carrots, peas and carrots were cooked perfectly where they weren't mushy and the biscuit was great flavor and texture. Found Surve by accident while out enjoying a Saturday drive. We decided to stop and give it a try, and we are glad we did! We tried the chili (nicely spicy!), the chicken tortilla soup (green chilis and awesome), warm artichoke dip (creamy) and house made fries. We loved all or them. This is a great place to gather with friends. There are so many choices for the pickiest of eaters. I had the chicken salad, which was outstanding. It had a lot of flavor and large pieces of chicken. I had brussel sprouts as my side, which I was super excited about but was a little disappointed because they were harder, almost like they were not fully cooked. There were several options for dessert, I had to try the homemade ice cream and it did not disappoint. I also tried the pastry puffs and they were a little disappointing too, just because I thought they lacked flavor. Was traveling through the town looking for a place to stop and eat and spotted this gem. The aesthetic pulled me in and I'm so glad it did! Everything about the restaurant was amazing! The set up was a little different as you placed your order and take a seat the drinks are self-serve and the food is brought out and delivered to your table. The other side is a bar and your drinks are taken care of by the bartender. The staff was very helpful and polite explaining everything to us and just in general during our stay dining in. Every detail about the decor was very modern and eclectic. Even down the little details like the locally sourced organic soap from Columbus set this place apart from any other restaurant I've been to before. The food was brought to us hot and the wait was not long at all. I got the 7 oz steak filet with macaroni and cheese and roasted broccoli and my husband had a bacon cheeseburger with macaroni and cheese. Everything was absolutely delicious! My steak was cooked to perfection and broccoli seasoned well. The macaroni and cheese was very good as well with real cheeses. My husband even said it was the best burger he'd had in a very long time! You could tell all the ingredients are fresh and chosen with care, not the mass-produced over-processed stuff I've become accustomed to. I can't say enough good things about this restaurant! We were a little anxious to try something new with no reviews but it was the best decision! Mac n cheese was 6/10 but everything else was so exceptional and had that love you expect from home cooking. Truly some of the best southern comfort food I've ever had outside the south. We've eaten here several times. We've had meals and entree salads. It's all been good and the prices are reasonable. My entree salad was pretty small but my wife's was more of what I would consider to be a normal portion. The food is non GMO which means a lot to me. My girlfriend and I have been to Surve a few times and it never fails... The food is amazing! The atmosphere is very laid back and they stay out of your hair but are there if you need anything. Even when it's busy it doesn't take long to get your food. The fresh hummus is freaking incredible. Definitely recommend it. You've made a mistake if you don't get it... We just tried Surve for the first time and have nothing but great things to say. The cutest decor, most polite staff, and great food. The menu was perfect.... just enough for a variety but not overwhelming. The food came out quick and just by the appearance you could tell it was fresh.... and it tasted even better! I love this place! It's like a hip little Short North restaurant in Sunbury. The set up is like Northstar Cafe, where you order at the counter and they bring it to you. We went there for lunch while my sister was here visiting from New Hampshire. The manager brought us out cheese curds to sample, as they were trying a new recipe/appetizer to add to their menu. They were delicious, by the way. The servings were generous, the staff super friendly. We'll definitely be back! read more
