I am an academic advisor at a university in Michigan. I was fortunate to have a very nice office with large windows but something about my office never felt right. Before I worked with Susan, I felt scattered. Every time I turned around there was something to do or take care of that needed to be done now, in addition to the things that I hadn't done from months before. I went into my consult with Susan knowing very little about Feng Shui practice. Susan guided us with several suggestions and we are very pleased with the result. We found her on Yelp, but also a highly respected Fengshui consultant recommended her. It took us about a month to reconfigure the layout of our bedrooms, getting headboards, moving huge bookshelves to the work space, changing the paintings around following her colour suggestions, putting two more mirrors at quite unexpected places etc. The new bedroom layouts improved the overall feeling of the bedrooms, and they have become cozier and calmer. It was quite a big job, but we are so glad we did it. The rather dark foyer next to our living room became much lighter and flows very nicely to the living room, and it now gives much more spacious feeling when we sit in the living room. We got two mirrors, one for narrow corridor and on the wall above the gas range. The horizontally long mirror shows the painting at the end of the corridor and it is quite amazing how much it feels so much nicer walking along the corridor now. The mirror in the kitchen made such a dramatic change as well. We could not believe the impact of it. Each morning when we walk into the kitchen we still say "wow, it really is so nice!" We still have not found a runner with the colour she suggested at the entrance hallway. Will have to go to different shops. Yes, it turned out to be quite a big project financially, buying antique headboards, mirrors from ebay & Novica, getting helpers to move things around and the consultation, but it was all very worthwhile. Whether one believes in Fengshui or not, it was an excellent idea that we got her help. read more
